I could never get into Paper Mario. I'm not sure why.
I've recently picked up a copy of PsychoNauts, and my, if it isn't rediculously fun. I find myself losing chunks of time, until I'm shocked back to reality by the realization that it's two in the morning, and I'm quite beat.
Okay, so the game's about kids who go to a psychic summer camp, and the main character, Razputen, crashes. He's not supposed to be there, so the councelors call his father to come pick him up. Raz's father hates psychics, so Raz has only two days to develop his powers and become a PsychoNaut.
During one of his training sessions, Razputen has a vision of a mad dentist extracting the brain of one kids from camp. One by one, brains start disappearing, leaving dazed, TV obsessed children.
Fantastic game. I can't seem to get through the final level, and it's caused me to add a few new four-letter-words to my vocabulary, but over all, a must have.

Okay, I realize I'll get a lot of crap for this, but... KH2 SUCKS. I can't speak for the first one as I haven't played it, but I'd imagine it's garbage, too. The gameplay is repetitive. Dynasty Warriors repetitive. I spent the portion of the game that I wasn't writhing in pain from long, pointless cutscenes, running around, mashing X and occasionaly mashing triangle. The sequences where triangle is used to preform some over-the-top, mid-battle stunt are not challenging in the least. Just start mashing triangle about the time the indicatior pops up, and, without fail, it works. The plot ceases to exist once Sora appears. Sure, there's something going on with Organization XIII, but they tell you so little that there's not the slightest bit of urgency. They could be planning a picnic. An evil picnic. With an evil potato salad. Only Sora with his power of friendship can stop it. But who cares? The part with Roxas was at least mildly interesting, as you tried to figure out just what was going on, but even then the gameplay consisted of running from point A to point B with mindless, mandatory mini-games to keep me cursing. As for the Disney thing, it really could have gone somewhere. But instead of adding onto it, they just offer a weak, partial retelling of the same old stories everyone and their mother knows. I'm done ranting now, but were I to give this game a score on a scale from one to ten, it would be lucky to get a four.

On my excess spare time yesteday, I completed Drakengard 2 and played through Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
Drakengard 2 is better than the first, the handling on it is pretty much the same. Mash on the Square button, take out endless hoards of enemies, and save the world. The final boss of the game was quite unexpected to say the least, it ended in an interesting ... yet 'to-be-expected' way thanks to the carelessness of Square-Enix. There are three different endings to the game, but that requires you to play through two more difficulties past that of normal... the difficulty ratings of the game are confusing ... like Normal is called "Challenge".
As like most RPG-Games, gameplay does tend to get tedious after a while, and the emotional system isn't the greatest(some of the conversations are just pictures of the characters(along with the character picture right next to the text)it's hard to explain) If it's one thing that keeps the game interesting; is the debt of deception induced within the characters.
You start out as a new Knight for the "Knights of the Seal", you go through a couple of missions, then on the third Chapter, the commander tries to kill you. Thus starting your bout of traitorship against the Knights of the Seal. Which I found fun, I've started to get annoyed of fighting so many monsters that just run away from you. I enjoy killing enemies in large masses. Normal difficulty had a few missions where the enemies just swarm in, but it's nothing a little magic can't take care of.
Drakengard is known for its use of Dragons. You get a dragon as a partner, only with the main character, though. Can't call him with other characters, though. Which kind of sucks, because I get lazy at times and I try to call the dragon to get out of an area with one character, but I forget that the main character is the only person that can call him. x.x bleh
List of Playable Characters in Drakengard 2: Main Character - Nowe: Main character of the storyline in Drakengard 2, known as the "Savior" to the knights for his involvement in the events from the years past. Said to be the son of a dragon, thus being called a "Dragon-Child" adopted by a general of the Knights, Orro.
Legna: Blue Dragon who raised the Main Character Nowe since he was a child. Helping Nowe throughout the storyline, Legna proves to be a powerful ally in times of need.
Manah: Mysterious woman who is determined to destroy all of the seals being protected by the Knights of the Seal in order to bring peace to the world. Nowe joins Manah in order to find out more answers.
Eris: Partnered with Nowe while he was in the Knights, determined to find out why Nowe turned on the Knights, heads some attacks of the knights.
Urick: A very mysterious masked man who was like a brother to Nowe during his time with Orro in the Knights. Urick joins Nowe and Manah in order to bring peace to the world.
I got bored...

******** ******** ******** got Half-Life: Opposing Force yesterday from Frankie and installed it on my computer. Damn, this game is tough, some of the obsticles in it are quite difficult. Spinning Fans, Electric Currents, Hazardous Waste, Waves of Flame, Long Drops, Explosions, ******** Experiences(Thank you G-Man!), and Black Operations. All this ... in the beginning of the game sweatdrop . I love this series, it DEMANDS you to think out of the box in order to stay alive. Most of the health you have, will be wasted more on obsticles, than enemies. Not an Ideal game to start with when going into Half Life. I suggest going with Half Life(the original game) as a starting point for the series. I can't wait to beat this game and start with Half Life: Blue Shift mmmm

xd interesting, while I was going through the game, I went into a room and found this on a wall. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Xero1200/Gaming/EmployeeOfTheMonth.jpgThat is a picture of Gordon Freeman (Main Character of the main Half Life game) as an "Employee Of The Month" ... Though the area that room leads to was INSANE! ... oh wait ... it's nothing but jumping on an electrical wire, while the ground below is flooded with hazardous waste, and there are electrical charges threatening to end your life in a mere flicker, not to mention there are two UGLY Alien Grunts shooting bees that home in on you on the platform you have to land on. No Problem at all sweatdrop I found that screen cap humorous. whee

Sadly, I was one bullet short from killing an enemy later on, and died because I couldn't switch weapons fast enough... that's just my luck.

Playing more Opposing Force today, I have three new screen caps!
This first one is when you arrive into the warp chamber where Gordon Freeman first enters Xen. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Xero1200/Gaming/ZenPortal.jpg Luckily, I got a screen cap of him running into the Portal biggrin ... it wasn't easy, gotta be quick about it.
The next picture is when Adrian Shepard(you) makes his first visit to Xen. I took the liberty of grabbing a screen cap of what lies within Xen... too bad I was only there for a brief period. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Xero1200/Gaming/Shepard-Zen.jpg Beautiful heart
This last picture, I had to take. It's funny, a Scientist tries to go through a portal in order to deliver a weapon to Gordon. But he severely miscalculates and ends up warping in in the middle of the air, falling to his death. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/Xero1200/Gaming/Catch.jpg biggrin I had to grab a screen cap of that 3nodding
