George smiled. "Well now, I might ask you the same." He took a breath. "Are you a betting man, Mr. Haru?" He asked.

George ignored him. "Mr. Haru, it is obvious to see that you care greatly for Mrs. Serena here. I do not claim to feel the same. But let me give you what I see in her." He took out some cards and placed them face up. "I am playing a high stakes poker game here. It's my last draw, I know that only one card that is turned up secures me the game. Anything less, and I lose. Serena is the last card on the deck." George took in a breath. "She may be the final piece, the king I need." He pulled up a king from the top of the deck before placing back on top. "Or not." He pulled the card again, this time it was a two. "But no matter what, she's the last card I get."
