Well... that was interesting. Moira's think, black brows were halfway up her forehead as she watch the Silver stalk the sands in search of his rider, mowing down any Candidate stupid enough to stand in his way. It was a relief as he Impressed, and both Moira and Serlaith seemed to visibly ease once it had happened. Serlaith had nearly had her fill at that point in time, having spared no effort on gorging herself earlier, and was lazily laying on the sands to watch the last of the eggs hatch.

Thank the Shells. The silver Impressed, sadly using so much of its energy. His wary stance over with, Saykiro looked back to the eggs left. It was a black that seemed to want answers about its hatching. He smiled and gave some encouraging thoughts for it to find His.

Thankfully, the little Silver Impressed before anyone else was injured. Jalarant sighed, but any relief was cut off short by the sharp sound of Abigail again swinging her shovel. This time a little Black rolled out. What would you be like, little one? Your 'brother' had been so angry! Would you tear the sands up as well?

Annnnnnnnnnd dodged a flame, there.
La watched as the silver collapsed, halfway starting forward to check on him before remembering herself and then getting distracted anyway when the sharp sound of the shovel alerted her to another dragonet. She probably shouldn't muck with other people's dragons, anyways. Turning to watch the black, she made a soft, amused noise in the back of her throat. Cute little thing.

There was a black on the sands now, since that crazy silver had impressed. Ofelia was surprised to see that she'd been holding her breath and she let it out in a ragged gasp, her hand on her chest to help her breathe.
Next to her her brother reached over and patted her on the shoulder, his face slightly concened. Ofelia shook it off with a smile and a shrug, watching what happened next. This hatching was now 1000% more interesting than before, which was good. Her attention was had.

S'raid let out a bark of laughter as he watched the Silver (dratted Atypical dragonet) cut a broad swathe through the Candidates. Now that was better! He was very much enjoying watching the Silver dragonet lay waste to the Candidates on the Sands. This was a good sight better than having to listen to Galvanth croon over the younglings. For obvious reasons, Galvanth was not crooning over this one. He glanced down to see if he could find Moira, a smug smile on his lips. 'See?' it seemed to say. 'See, Atypicals are different.' And in a negative way. Not that he believed everything that he implied, but it was absolutely amusing to watch the girl twitch every time he said or did anything anti-Trine. Hmmn, though maybe that wasn't the best idea, given that she was a new Queenrider. Ah well.
He has Impressed, Galvanth informed him, and then the Bronze's attention turned to the Black.

Viskal eyed the blue as if he were the sun, bright, lovely, and passing by at his own inexorable pace. He was so accustomed to being passed over he looked faintly stunned when the blue stopped. His eyes widened further when he sat down at his feet and the moment of Impression came.
He’d known Impression was an emotional, indescribable thing and formed a link between minds. He hadn’t expected that kind of overwhelming attachment and love. It was crippling, and his throat caught as he moved forward to cradle Lerath’s head. It was nearly painful how present and affectionate the dragon seemed. Viskal bent and pressed his forehead between Lerath’s eyes, struggling to accept.
Mine, your Lerath wonders why is it you are so very nervous?.... Mine? Viskal shuddered. “Your hungry.” Yes. Is something wrong? “Later,” Viskal said in a way that brooked no argument as he led the blue toward a bowl of meat. He knelt, pulling Lerath down with him so he wouldn’t trip and get tangled in his awkward limbs and wings. “Just eat for now.” He held up a gory sliver of meat, watching in wonder as the blue grunted at him before following orders. He knew if the blue hadn’t been so starved, he would have pushed for more answers. As it was, he simply worked to offer food at a speed that wouldn’t get his fingers nipped or Lerath’s throat choked.

The little black crooned again, curious and playful as he wandered towards the nearest Candidate. His tone was quite obviously questioning as he peered up at the girl and burbled again, as if asking her why. When he didn't get a good enough answer, he hiccuped in something that sounded suspiciously like a laugh before he padded over towards the boys.
But he didn't go far, instead asked the whole of them why with one loud croon and tilted his head as if listening. Lots were amused but where was His' laughter? He was certain he'd recognize it.

La had been at the Weyr long enough to hear a lot of dragons making a lot of noises. And the little sounds the black was making were not noises she had ever heard before. Too. Cute. Grinning and chuckling softly as the little black headed off, she turned to look at T'vek and Taikoth. Had Taikoth been like that? Because shards, she was going to have to tease them afterward if that was the case!

Ofelia was listening to this dragonet make his weird noise, the sounds so much more pleasant than the trills and chirps and roars and screams of the earlier sets. It was amusing and light to say the least, and Ofelia found herself leaning forward to chuckle in turn with it.
This was certainly a lot calmer than what had happened moments before, and the tanner felt her eyes still watch that silver with caution. Impressed or no, dangerous.

Like several others around himself, Jalarant found himself smiling at the antics of the little Black. He gave a little laugh, not too much, but h e looked to be in good spirits at least. What a little clown!

Galvanth watched the Black rebelliously, not at all willing to be charmed. He watched, and... the baby kind of laughed, and he quailed. He did not want to find this strange being to be cute, but it was becoming difficult to deny. He glared down at the dragonet, but all of that crooning was getting to him. S'raid groaned again, face meeting his palm in a resounding smack, for Galvanth was crooning right back. Oh, how the mighty had fallen. The Bronze, seemingly embarrassed, stopped crooning, but only for a moment. When the Black dragonet moved on, he began again, encouraging the hatchling to find his rider. As unnatural as this was, there was something very familiar about it, and Galvanth could not entirely elude the call of the familiar sense. It is still unnatural, he informed his rider, who only shook his head in silence.

Oh Nasuymi! This black is so small. He should find his soon and then we can go and look over him. Daroth peered from underneath his place beneath his rider.
Camm in all of this ruckus had scolded the dragon and then her girl then promptly disappeared. How dare she be treated like this?
"N'ymi. Like it better. An' nah. They kin handle themselves." N'ymi was not interested in going over and interrupting anybody's business just yet.
Soon? Please?

Malina had led her pretty little Green off to be fed, but from time to time she would still glance back at the Sands. Alumanth's clutch had mostly Impressed now. There were... two? that remained ... well, unImpressed. One was a sweet little Black that Mali just wanted to hug, and the other was an egg. This made hugging a hair more difficult. It was still possible of course, and she was willing to try it if that was what it took. However, Bonth needed her attention far more than a Black who seemed to be cheerful enough, able to take the pressure of finding his rider.
He will find his rider, Malina. We will only have to wait, and he will be fine. He is fine now, she informed her rider very clearly and succinctly. It still surprised Mali to discover how very bright her dragonet was. She had not quite expected to be so blessed, but nothing could have been better than being bonded to Bonth. Smiling, she reached out with a bit of meat in her hand. "Here, Bonth. This one's just for you." And maybe her dragonet would feel all the better for having the attention directed back to her, though... she didn't have the impression that the Green minded, exactly.
