As if sensing Lunaire's sadness, the door across from her began to glow with a lime green light. When the light died down, a new door was in its place. This door had strange symbols on it that would move and change into different characters every few seconds. There were chains wrapped around the door, and a strong surge of energy came out of it, trying to pull her towards it.


"I think they need to go." Kazu said. "Doug will be with Yazu." he muttered and ran to Dede's room. "Wake up." he said softly and shook the twins awake. "We need to go."


"Five more minutes." Mimi mumbled and put the pillow over her face. Dede rubbed her eyes and shook Mimi awake. "C'mon." she yawned and got up then looked at Kazu. "Where are we going?" she asked.

For a quick second, some of the symbols formed the word 'Thirteen' and 'Douglass'. Another surge of power came through the door when she touched it. A few symbols followed her fingers around and even began to glow.


"Umm ok then." Dede yawned and dragged Mimi with her.


Kazu nodded at the three and ran to Alex's room. He opened the door and froze when he saw him...naked. "Umm...Hello to you, too." he said, his eye twitching. He shook his head and glance at the wall so he wouldn't have to see something he'd regret. "Listen, I know where your brother is. Follow me." he said and quickly left.


Alex blinked and put his clothes on. He would've been blushing if he were alive. But that didn't matter, Kazu knew where Doug was! That was all he could think about so far. Well, that and Lunaire.

The chains on the door began to glow when Lunaire touched the doornob. The words 'Fire' and 'Chain' flashed on the door for a second.


"I don't...want to talk about it." Kazu mumbled and tried to forget the image. "You guys ready?" he asked and looked around. "Wait, where's Lunaire?" he asked and looked at Marionette for an answer.


Alex ran a hand through his hair and walked up to the group. He frowned when he heard Kazu asking where Lunaire was.

The chains shattered into bits of ice, freeing the door. The symbols began to glow brighter and form the words 'Door of Dimmensions' on the top. Soon the door began to slowly open, unleashing an immense amount of energy.


"That's...not good!" Kazu raised an eyebrow then froze as a wave of energy shook the temple. "She's at the door." he breathed and started running towards the door's chambers.


"Wha-Hey! Wait up!" Mimi called out and chased Kazu, Dede following her. They ran up to a hallway with pots of water against the walls, but no door.


Kazu's eyes widened when he saw the dead end. "The door's not here!" he gasped and looked around. He looked at Marionette and put his hands on her shoulders. "Trace this energy!" he said.

Behind the door was a long, white hallway. It had a very space-y feel to it. Against the walls were a few doors, each with a number and a title on it. To Lunaire's left and at the end of the hallway was a door that had 1: Simple Dimension on it. Behind her, the door read 2: Magical Dimension. In front of her was 3: Dimension of the Past, and so fourth. To her right, at the other end of the hallway, was a very rusty door. If you strained your eyes, you'd see the number 13 on it, but no description. The edges of the rusty door were slightly chipped, as if opened recently.


"No!" Kazu yelled and slammed on the door, but it was too late. The door was closed.


"What's wrong?" Dede asked. "Can't we just follow her?" "And what is up with this weird door?" Mimi asked and studied it.


"It's not that easy." Kazu's voice said, even though he wasn't talking. A stream of water came towards the door and took the form of Kazu. "This is the Door of Dimensions, where everything is literally connected." he said, his arms crossed. "Once it closes, it can't be opened for 24 hours." he explained. "Which means you all must wait."


Alex felt his heart sink when Lunaire left through the door. Would he ever be able to see her again and feel the warmth of her body?

With tremendous force, the thirteenth door opened. There was nothing but a black curtain behind the door, but an energy stronger than the door Lunaire entered pulled her through the door. As soon as she was forced through the black curtain, the door closed shut. She was in a pure black hallway now, but there was a small light at the end of the hallway.


"She can come back, but if she enters another door than that one is closed for a day and she won't be able to return." the illusion explained.


The symbols on the door formed the words 'Thirteen' and 'Douglass' for a second then reverted to normal.


Alex looked at the door and blinked. "Is Doug in the door?" he asked.


Kazu nodded. "He's with Yazu, in her own personal dimension." he said grimmly.


"What's wrong with that?" Dede asked, wondering why Kazu seemed so grim.


"Yazu...has a very twisted mind." he said and looked at everyone. "You could say she's the ringmaster of insanity."

As Lunaire came closer to the light, strange whispers could be heard around her. As she got closer to the light, the faintest sound of a carnival could be heard...


"Door thirteen: The cursed Dimension." the illusion said gravely. "The dimension where darkness is born. It was abandoned until Yazu took up residence there."


"I still don't understand how Yazu was able to get in that door since this is the only gateway." Kazu sighed. "But it can't be helped. We must wait for tomorrow."

A giggle replied to Lunaire's call. Soon, a girl jumped down out of nowhere and in front of Lunaire. "Well lookie what we've got here!" the girl giggled. It was Yazu. "How do you like my lil' carnival?" she asked and did a twirl. The carnival was enormous. There were thousands of stands, hundreds of rides, and millions of people. Even though it looked happy and warm, there was an eeiry chill hanging above the area.
