"That's nice," Arielle said with a smile, "Wait... How many sisters do you have Kedrick?"
Arielle's grandfather nodded and headed upstairs to get a tie for Kedrick. Maria and Arielle's grandmother were chatting and catching up briefly before her grandmother turned to them, "You all ready to eat? I know the three of you have a busy schedule."

"Uh, yeah, sure." Kedrick said with a smile, migrating to the kitchen with Arielle and Maria. Kedrick pulled out Arielle's chair for her as before, then sat down in his own. He glanced over at Her with an awkward half-smile. "I have....seven sisters..." he mumbled sheepishly, suddenly finding it very interesting to examin his finger-nails. " Keira, Gwen, Kyla, Raine, Terra, Athena and my older sister Sakimi." He said, rattling all the names off in a rapid fire procession.

Maria and Arielle nodded and followed Arielle's grandmother along with Kedrick to the kitchen. Arielle thanked Kedrick for pulling out her chair like before and she could see the expression on Maria's face. She made a face back at Maria before turning her attention to Kedrick when he answered her question. Her eyes widened in shock as he told her about his seven sisters.
"Seven sisters?" Maria asked in shock, "Somebody's parents were busy."
"Maria!" Arielle said with a small glare, "I could never see myself having seven girls and a boy... I just want to kids. Twins. A boy and a girl. And then I'll be good."
"You shouldn't be worrying about having kids no way," Arielle's grandmother said seriously, "Especially when you've got a bright future ahead of you."
"I know grandma, I know," Arielle said with a small smile, "Besides, I want to have my kids when I'm married to the man of my dreams."

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick rubbed the back of his neck at Maria's comment about 'someone's parents' a light shade of pink tinging his cheeks. "uhh..." He mumbled something under his breath about the youngest being six, then quickly shut his mouth. He listened in silence to the two girls conversation, making a mental note that it was three when Arielle's grandmother joined. Honestly, he had been thinking twins as well, but didn't dare say anything for fear of another awkward moment.
((ahhh! Horrible quality! Never try posting and watching a movie at the same time.))

"What is this about you getting married?" Arielle's grandfather asked in mock anger as he came into the room and walked straight to Kedrick, handing him a tie before looking at Arielle, "If it's this young man, I hope he takes good care of you."
"Grandpa!" Arielle exclaimed, her cheeks growing hot, "Don't be embarrassing, please. Kedrick is just a friend."
"I totally agree with you Grandpa Fields," Maria said with a grin, "I mean, it's so ob-," Maria didn't get to finish as Arielle covered her mouth and gave her a serious glare.
"Alright kids," Arielle's grandmother said with a laugh and looked at her husband, "Including you. It's time to eat. Honey, you mind helping me with passing out the plates and drinks."
"Of course dear," Arielle's grandfather answered sweetly before he looked at the three of them, "What would you all like to drink?"

Kedrick Suwa
"huh?" Kedrick exclaimed in surprise "Mar..I mean uhh...." Kedrick flushed a deep crimson red, rubbing the back of him neck. He mumbled an embarrassed 'thank you' to Mr. Fields, glancing up to look at him. He caught his eye for a moment, wondering exactly what he would think of him if he told him how far ahead he had planed. 'But how am I supposed to even think about marrying her someday if I can't even tell her how I feel?' He thought to himself, craning his neck down to glance at his hands as he fussed with the tie. " Ah...I'll have milk if you have any Mr. Fields." He said, improvising quickly when the question arose.

"Water please grandpa," Arielle said with a small sigh.
"I would like some...um...I would like some juice. Whatever you have please," Maria said with a grin.
Arielle watched her grandfather walk away and join her grandmother before turning back to face Kedrick, "Hope we aren't embarrassing you again."

Kedrick Suwa
"Hm?" Kedrick looked over at her. "no, It's okay...I was just...surprised is all." He improvised lamely, shrugging his shoulders with a quirk of a smile. "do you know what we're having for dinner?" he asked, shifting in his seat so that he could see her better. He glanced briefly at Maria out of the corner of his eye. She seemd out to get them, in the sense that she was determined to pair them up. 'why don't I take the hint and ask her out already...' he thought. 'I like her don't I? Of course! I'm just...to embarrassed....'

"If I only knew," Arielle replied with a small shrug of her shoulders, "But whatever it is, it sure smells good."
"How bout I go help your grandparents," Maria said as she started to get up before being pulled back down by Arielle.
"I think they'll be fine," Arielle said, giving her friend a look of "I know what you're trying to do right now", "Trust me. If they needed help, they'd let us know."
Maria nodded and sighed in defeat.

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick leaned back in his chair, feeling useless. He wanted to help, but taking Arielle's previous comment to Maria in to consideration he held his peace. "hm?" Kedrick blinked in surprise when his phone buzzed in his pocket. "hello?" he asked, holding the phone to his ear. "hey Kedrick! It's Dimitri!." Kedrick tossed the girls a long-suffering look. "Hey bud, I figured it was you, did you loose your keys again?" Kedrick herd Dimitri snort on the other end. "No! nothing that scatter-brained Kedrick, I forgot what time the dance starts." Kedrick winced. "oh," He said, and glanced behind Arielle at the clock on the wall. "It starts in about an hour, kay?" he asked. "yep, got it." Dimitri replied, and was about to hang up when Kedrick interrupted him. "so, what held you up?" he asked. "we had figured on having dinner together," He heard a sharp intake of breath. "nothing." Dimitri replied curtly, then hung up. Kedrick frowned at the phone, that wasn't like Dimitri. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, but a niggle of concern still remained for his friend.

Arielle Shore
Arielle and Maria stopped what they were doing and looked at Kedrick who had gotten a phone call. Arielle had a feeling that it was from Dimitri since Kedrick told the person about the time left for the dance. When he finished, the two girls looked at him, wondering what the call was. Before they could even ask, Arielle's grandfather came in with the drinks and her grandmother came in with the plates of food.
"Thanks Grandma!" Maria said happily as she took a whiff of her food.
Arielle only smiled and thanked her grandparents quietly.
"I hope you like the meal, Kedrick," Arielle's grandmother said as she sat the dish in front of him, "It's something simple, but I hope you like it."
"It's grandma's famous "crack-n-cheese"," Arielle said with a grin as she motioned to the macaroni and cheese, "It's so good."
((Meh...))

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick swallowed, trying to forced down the hard lump of concern in his stomach. He diverted his mind to the food trying to forget about Dimitri for the moment. He leaned down, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, he exhaled slowly with a look of bliss on his face. "This smells wonderful!" he breathed, opening his eyes and picking up his fork. Kedrick glanced briefly up at Arielle with a small smile, then turned to Mr. and Mrs. Fields. "this looks great! thanks for having me over Mr. and Mrs. Fields." He said with a grateful smile.

"Why anytime dear," Arielle's grandmother said with a smile, "I feel like we've already said this, but we just love having company over. Especially Arielle and her friends."
"It saves me from being with just this one woman," Arielle's grandfather replied jokingly as he kissed his wife on the cheek.
Arielle took a bite of her food and smiled contently. She still honestly believed that her grandparents' cooking was better than hers. She would have to remember to get the recipe to make this for dinner one night.
"But you still love her," Maria said with a smile.
"Of course I do," Arielle's grandfather said with a smile as he wrapped on of his arm's around his wife's shoulders, "There has never been a woman greater than my wife."
"That's so sweet," Arielle said quietly with a smile.

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick smiled softly at the heart-felt moment, momentarily forgetting the heavenly meal in front of him. He glanced up at Arielle again and voiced her thoughts exactly. "you know," He said thoughtfully. "you really ought to get the recipe and make it at home sometime." Kedrick smiled at her, He thought that Arielle absolutely had the potential to be as good a cook as her grandmother, he never would doubt that. Kedrick picked of a fork full of the macaroni and cheese and chewed it thoughtfully, savoring the taste of it.

Arielle looked at Kedrick and only shrugged, "Well, I was thinking that. But I'm not really sure anymore."
"Well don't be shy," Arielle grandmother said as she sat herself down at the table, "You know I'm always willing to let you have some recipes if you really wanted them. Besides, you know our cooking is always the best."
Arielle smiled shyly and felt her cheeks warm, continuing to eat the meal in front of her.
