Starfire smiled, "Thank you. Mr. Cobblepot was kind enough to take me on, and I, too, find this place quite pleasant."

Dundee nodded. "Yep! Breezed in from a 3-day stint in Asbury Park with th' Ringling Boys." he said. Being a drifter and working with the Circus did have some perks.

Kori nodded, "I am relatively new to Gotham myself. I have been here before on visits. After I lost my home in California, I came here to look up a friend. I needed to work, and Mr. Cobblepot was kind enough to hire me. My friend Raven and I just got an appartment."

Dundee nodded. "Sounds mighty nice havin' a home that ain't on wheels . . . or tracks." he said. He may have been a musician on the road, but he had sawdust in his veins. A real Circus man. "What part of California were you at? I knew someone in Los Angles for a while."

"Jump City," Star seemed to have a pained look on her face, "Our building collapsed and I lost most of my friends from that..."
Starfire fell silent.

Starfire picked up the fifty dollar bill and stared at it, "When I get off work, I will take a drink then, if you don't mind."

Dundee smiled. "My pleasure, ma'am. Ain't seen home this side of two years, so I can relate." he said, taking another sip of the mint julep. "Just traveling and makin' music . . . " he said, not bringing up the real reason he was there. His half-brother Arell was in town.

"Thank you, for your understanding. I'll need to check on my tables now. I'll be back, Dundee," Star spoke softly. As she stood, Kori's fingers slid off Dundee's hand.
