Sayrike: *grins* Heck yes I love waffles! I love it with syrup, or fruit (and whipped cream), or....frozen yogurt.

Chika:
OH MAH GAWD, frozen yogurt+waffle=absolute heaven. With some chopped strawberries or peaches and whipped cream. Yes. *begins to salivate heavily*

Window: I believe that the others did not propose that question out of respect for you, Mizu.

Chika:
Yeah, or 'cuz they only ask the boring things. Please, Mizu, ask anything and everything you'd want to know. Even things like "How is a raven like a writing desk?"

Sayrike: *laughs* Do I recommend any good books or movies or music? Well, in one of the giant paragraphs above, I talk about the sort of music I like, and so of course I'd recommend anything that I mentioned. As for books and movies, I happen to have a lot of knowledge on both. Any particular genre you're interested in?

Chika: In short, I'm a book and movie fanatic. I love books most especially. Be careful, you might open up Pandora's box, which would result in another mini-essay. But come talk books with me anytime. PLEASE. DX I find fewer and fewer people to discuss books with!

Sayrike:
Well, the first book series that comes to mind is His Dark Materials (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass). But you've probably already read that. Have you read the Abhorson series? I rather liked that as well. Like I said (or maybe I didn't say) my favorite author is Ray Bradbury---but for his short stories, not the novels.

Chika: Screw Fahrenheit 451. And, by the way, don't ever watch the movie.

Sayrike: Dandelion Wine was one of my more favored Bradbury novels. But yes, if you can find an anthology of his short stories, give it a good look through. They're often thought-provoking and sometimes haunting, but in a good way. Although, "The Small Assassin" still gives me the creeps a little. I also enjoy Orson Scott Card--again, not for his famous work Ender's Game, but for his other stuff--the Alvin Maker series, Pastwatch, and that sort of thing. Hmmm...Dumas is great, and for the longest time The Count of Monte Cristo was my favorite book, though now I think I should go back and re-read it to make sure it still is at the top of my list. I think I've read Illusions by Richard Bach a hundred times by now. I go to Dean Koontz when I want a getaway paperback novel, and out of his stuff I'd recommend Tick Tock. It starts off a suspense thriller with a creepy-a** monster, but by the end it's turned into a comedy. Hilarity ensues. If you haven't seen the movie, read The Prestige, which actually made me shout out in surprise once during class. And, finally, if you enjoy sci-fi, I definitely recommend The Alien Chronicles series if you can get your hands on it (The Golden One, The Crimson Claw, The Crystal Eye).

Chika: For once, I'm giving the long story short: I love movies too, and I could talk for hours and hours and hours about them. I don't have a favorite, though I avoid chick flicks like the plague. Give me a good gore movie over that any day. I watch anything from old classics to obscure DVDs I find in the library, foreign films, indie movies, you name it. 'Course I've seen more mainstream film than anything, but...oh, and actually I'm taking two film classes right now, so I'll get to see even more stuff. Tell me what you're interested in hearing about, and I'll recommend something. And, before no one asks, my favorite terrible 80s movie is Remo Williams.

How was bacon not mentioned? Well, that's 'cuz I much prefer sausage to bacon. I'll gladly substitute my bacon for more sausage. Mmmmm, sausage...

As for the whole Cloud thing...that's 'cuz I'm the only one who truly understands him. ^_____^

Nick: So, Sayrike. I met you briefly back in Port Royal before being whisked away by that damned Ivalician, so I didn't get a chance to ask before.
Would you accept the Darkness in your heart if you were to have the chance?
What would you be willing to do to save the people you knew and loved?
And most importantly, what summon would you pick out of the 13 Ivalice summons?

Chika: Oooops, totally forgot about this. Sorry! I'll answer it so the next person can have a chance ><

Sayrike: Hmm, would I accept Darkness?

Chika: Wait, you mean I'm not evil enough already?

Sayrike:
Well, if I did, someone would have to convince me. I'm not going to go skipping along and suddenly decide, "Hey, I wanna become a baddie!" But, as you and Chika have already discussed, darkness somehow equals either a lack of self-control or sadism, which is a rather...silly correlation. For me, "darkness" (outside of the Kingdom Hearts world) is just the unknown, onto which people place their negative emotion--fear, anger, hate, etc. But I'm always wondering what's out there, what is it that I don't know? In that sense, yes, I'd explore the darkness. But in the Kingdom Hearts' sense, embracing the darkness means becoming an illogical extreme--you (eventually) come to embody "evil," which is another debate all in itself.

I think the problem is that, if I were to accept darkness, it wouldn't be a constant internal battle of the good/light side versus the bad/dark side. It'd be more like coming to terms with a new aspect of myself and trying to assimilate it.

Chika: Basically, I don't really enjoy playing characters who are totally good or totally bad, which is why I can't see myself playing a Replica. It's like...there's not enough for me to explore psychologically before I get bored. There's only so many times before I've played out the same old fears and worries and ire in a character like that. Other people probably have more skill than me in that department. ^^;;; I mean, at least in this rp. I've been totally planning out playing the "bad" part in another rp, but again, it'll be a more complicated character than just a one-track mindset/goal.

Sayrike: Long story short? As my adventure's progressed so far, it'd wouldn't be like me to turn to darkness, but as things go on, there's still the possibility that it'd happen. It really all depends on what events happen to us on our journey! ^_^

Now, as for your second question...I'm one of those people who will gladly sacrifice herself for others. If my mother needed a kidney, I'd totally give one of mine up for her. I'd donate bone marrow if someone close to me needed it.

Chika: Although, if I only had one kidney left, things would get a little more complicated...

Sayrike:
But in a situation like the one I'm in right now? Well, as I see it, I suddenly got put upon an amalgamated world. I have no idea where my loved ones could be, but I have faith in them. I trust that, wherever they are, they will persevere and find their own happiness, even if they are dead. I know that they'd want me to be happy as well, so it's the least I can do to find my own place in this new world and live my own life to its fullest. But if someone were to walk up to me and say, "Here's your chance to bring your family back to life and restore the world!" I would feel slightly conflicted...like, there had to be a catch somewhere, and what if the people I brought back weren't the people I knew and loved? I think that, by that point, I'd have changed too much to go back to the world as I knew it. And I'd have to know the state of my family/friends. Death is, like, death, you know? I'd feel wrong undoing something as permanent and natural as that. But, say, if they were suspended in space/time/darkness? Well, then I'd work steadily to release them from it, doing what I could, when I could. I'm not one to rashly jump in, guns blazing, and kill myself in a burst of glory; I figure there's gotta be a smarter way to do things. But if you mean, like, if tainting myself with darkness might get them back, then yeah, I'd do it.

Chika: May I note the above is from the character's point of view. Now, for your last question--when I was first picking out summons, I was going for Zalera (since it's non-elemental). That is, until Kyle explained to me how the Ivalician summons were special, which I still didn't really understand until I began reading the rp. But, now that Cory's Replica has Zalera and I realize that I would probably choose a summon based on his/her motives rather than element, I'd go with Zeromus. Second and third choice would be Exodus and Hashmal.

Wheeee! Me first, me first!

Chika: So, what inspired your certain look? I mean, the hat, the cool eyes, the coat...basically, how'd you come to create such a dashing figure?

Kye: Damn. And here I was thinking I'd make it all the way to the end without being picked. So closeeeeee. Damn you random generator!

...*cough* So, anyway...

@Chika

In all honesty, I just kinda...pick stuff at random. I'd like to say that I have some sort of creative taste that is awesome and win and stuff, but I don't. I just like top hats and such. The coat is one of my favorite items as well, so yeah. And for the eyes...I bought the vampire potion for Halloween and I've just been too lazy to go buy the human potion again XD

@Anthony

Of course not! It doesn't aggravate me at all...*sharpens hidden blade*

Just ignore the man with the blade. He isn't coming to stab you in the face or anything. Nope. Not at all.

Do you do any writing outside of the guild? Any original stories? A journal?

What got you into role playing, and how long have you been doing it? Who was your first character?

If you had free reign of whatever summon you wanted, and whatever weapon you wanted, what would you choose?

Kye: Hmm. I usually only do small stuff outside of the guild really. A friend and I are collaborating on a Pokemon fanfic, involving us getting sucked into the world of Pokemon and our adventures thus far. I write and he draws. It's been going pretty well. Meh, journals are not so much. I've tried, but I just can't get into it.

Well, I first started role playing when I got onto Gaia and started joining forums, but depending on what you consider role playing, I've been jumping into the roles of bounty hunters fighting with Samus Aran and various Power Rangers and working with Link since I was really young. My best friend, Danny, and I would play in the yard for hours like that.

My first character on Gaia was when I joined a FMA rp. It wasn't all that terrible when I look back on it, but I definitely wasn't fabulous. My character was an alchemist who went by the alias Silverstrike Alchemist. Manipulated silver like it was a water. It was a fun character, but I've never found a reason to revive him.

Free reign over a summon? Any gravity summon. Probably start with Atomos, then go to Diablos. Zeromus would be the choice for the Ivalician summons. I didn't know about Atomos at the time of the deletion of the original thread, otherwise I would probably have switched to Atomos. I love the concept of gravity control and I can think of infinitely more abilities and spells for gravity than earth. As for weapon, my favorite is definitely the scythe. I thought about using it for HA, but I decided to challenge myself with using the katars, which I've never used before.

All in all, I like the setup I have now, but I tend to find myself thinking of gravity skills when I'm attempting to think of earth-related spells. XD

Jacob: Sire, how do you particularly enjoy styling your hair. If you could have a riding mount, what would it be? What's your favorite medium of art. Favorite brand of toothpaste? Is tomato a fruit or a veggie? What's 'taters? Favorite instrument? MAC OR PC? COKE OR PEPSI? Do you think potions are just Mountain Dew Distortion in a bottle?

Kye: Styling my hair takes much too long. I just run a comb through it and be done with it. As for riding mount...I have no idea in all honesty. Music is my favorite medium of art and I listen to it often. Odd question, but AquaFresh is my favorite brand. And tomato is a fruit, although I tend to forget that. Hopefullly, 'taters' equals tater tots. I loveeeee tater tots. Favorite instrument is the violin or the cello. I love the sounds that they can produce. PC is my choice between the two, as I've never really gotten good at using a Mac. I have no personal opinion on Coke or Pepsi. I'm not a fan of pop at all, so I really hope they aren't just Mountain Dew Distortion in a bottle, as I would have to let myself deal with injuries.

QD: A genie comes along and says he'll grant you whatever you desire, but it has to fit in a bucket. A regular-sized bucket (that is, about 12L). What do you wish for?

User ImageBobbi: If a train was coming in at 100mph from Honolulu, Hawaii and another had just wrecked off the coast of Mississippi, taking into account the price of fish in New York and the approximate weight of your appendix, what is the square root of a piece of pie? DO YOU LIKE WAFFLES?! How old are sea turtles? Do you feel lucky? Do ya, punk? Dude, where's my car? Why so serious? What the hell is on Joey's head? If you could physically mould yourself into the perfect cosplay (shape your body, face, hair, EVERYTHING), who would you cosplay as? What is your favorite genre of music? Your favorite genre of literature? Your favorite movie genre? Your favorite song/band? Your favorite movie? Your favorite book/author? Why am I asking so many questions? Is there such a thing as a bandersnatch? What about the Jabberwocky? What was Lewis Carol on when he wrote "Alice in Wonderland?" Where can I find the other unicorns? I can has cheeseburger? Kye: The square root of a piece of pie can only be found by wearing the magical maid outfit of higher mathematics. As I have no desire to crossdress again, I'm gonna guess 72.5. I ADORE WAFFLES! Fairly old beings, let's go with 1/9th of Methuselah's age. I never feel lucky. Except when I do =w= Sorry, I got hungry and your car was the closest thing. Why so silly? ...Hair...?

Hmm, no clue really. I've always entertained the idea of doing the Millennium Earl from D-Gray Man, but I don't have to do that much for that cosplay. Favorite genre of music...anything but rap and hip hop. I don't really have a favorite genre, but the one I listen to the most is alternative and rock, so yeah. Either science fiction or fiction in general. Depends on the author and if I like their work as well. Favorite band is Within Temptation and the favorite song by them is probably...Our Farewell off of their Mother Earth album. I don't really have a favorite movie, so yeah. I guess Alice in Wonderland will do for now. Favorite author is tough too. All around, I like D.J. MacHale for his Pendragon series, although I've been meaning to pick up Morpheus Road too....Still, I do have other favorites, depending on the genre. For action thriller books, it's definitely James Rollins. I also like Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games series.

And you ask questions because you have an insatiable hunger for knowledge. Hopefully. Otherwise, no idea. I really hope not. Both of them scare me. I mean, sure, I could tame them, but it would take so much work to not get killed. From what I've heard of the story, he wasn't on anything. Lewis Carol was a pen-name for Reverend Charles Dodgson, a professor of mathematics. He wrote it to point out that complex math was stupid as all hell and imaginary numbers don't make sense. Have you looked in Candy Mountain? No. Eat your salad first.

BECAUSE YOU ASK THEM.
