On cue.
When presented with a frontal assault that covers any escape from the side, the only option (assuming you wish to avoid a hit) is to go in reverse. This is basic strategy, known to most anyone who picks up a weapon. However, a mere backstep wasn't enough for a gunner- he'd need as much space as possible. The jump, while based entirely on chance, was... perfect.
Ajora never once stopped moving. Using the precise momentum of his horizontal swing and his dash forward, Ajora twisted his body into the Spiral Vortex the moment James left the ground, his entire body blurring forward, under the shortly-thereafter-fired Helix, in a horizontal tornado of blades glowing white-- fast approaching James inevitable landing point. While Lancet had been wasted, his blades were still enhanced with the elemental properties, making the physical damage Light elemental.

'Not good... walked right into it,' James mentally beat himself as he fell right into the path of Ajora's cutting vortex. Light burned and seared into his clothes yet again, causing the corsair to wince in pain as he was cut up by the blades of light. He had managed to throw his arms up to prevent the blades from cutting into anything major. However, he was pushed back a good ways from the force. When the attack subsided he came to a halt before he fell to one knee. 'I refuse to go down... like this. Fenrir give me your power!''You can have it! Beat him James!' the Lunar wolf yelled within his head. As the corsair rose to his feet a symbol resembling a full moon appeared at his feet. Lines branched off from the symbol and shifted to form the Summon circle before it began to spin rapidly and fell back in around the corsair, obscuring him from view with light. As the light dispersed James stood before Ajora in a new costume. His Hexagun floated beside him briefly before he grabbed it and tossed it into the air, dismissing it in a flash of light. The Lunar Energy now more fully surrounded James as he activated the Lunatic Pandora. "I hope you're ready for this Ajora! I am going to show you what Fenrir and I can really do!" James yelled, his voice carrying a distinct growl to it as his eyes narrowed at Ajora through the wolf mask. James would then immediately charge forward, his claws glowing with energy as he unleashed the Savage Charge coming at Ajora three times from different directions with each attack. After James was knocked backward by his vortex, Ajora brought himself to a stop, kneeling down casually as if to rest his legs with his swallow-spear out to his side. He propped his chin up by his elbow, which he had leaning on one knee, and simply watched James go through the process.
Ooo, shiny.
James spoke, his voice resounding with the gruffness of Fenrir, and Ajora merely grinned, giving no verbal response. Nothing to say, after all. Merely waiting for James to even attempt movement. And when he did finally move, Ajora was genuinely surprised at his speed. Not that it was quite fast enough to cover the distance in time, but still surprising.
At the first sign of movement, Ajora sprung upward like a blur, leaping dozens of meters into the air within a short moment. His swallow was left behind on the ground, remaining there uselessly as he soared ever-upward. His hands, both free, were held out to his side in a 'rocker' symbol (thumbs out); by the peak of his jump, he'd summoned 6 Starlights, 3 per hand, each at the tip of a finger or thumb. The spheres began to orbit his body on his descent, leaving his hands free to re-summon his spear.
Gripping the handle with both hands, Ajora suddenly began to descend at a rapid pace (faster than a normal fall), and one Starlight fused itself to the spear as he blurred quickly back down to the ground. He was attempting to slam down into James' current location with his spear, and on contact (with James or, more likely, the ground), a small shockwave of Light energy would be released, knocking back anything too close.
James would, of course, have had time to react between the time of his ascent and descent, but with his velocity, it wasn't a great deal of time.

James' charge had stopped as soon as he realized that Ajora was no longer in range for the attack. The corsair's attention turned up to the sky, the only place Ajora could escape to and sure enough he could see the starlights forming and spinning around the replica as he began to descend and fast... way too fast. The avatar of Fenrir pushed off of the ground and back away, not wasting the extra energy with a flip this time, arms raised to block from any of the shockwave that might still hit. James knew that he had to avoid contact with Ajora's light based attacks whenever possible.
As soon as he landed, the corsair charged forward yet again, his lips curled up in a snarl as he closed the distance. He brought his clawed hands up and then swiped them again three times. The Wolf Fang Fist claws erupted from his fingertips and flew at the Bloody Executioner.

On impact, Ajora lifted his head to look at his opponent- only to see him already charging forward. On reflex, one of his five remaining Starlights was absorbed into his being as he brought his swallow spear up to guard, using his reflexes to catch each blow. However, the strength behind them was enough to shove him back with each blow and do a bit of damage.
The immediate disadvantage was that James was still within striking range.
The issue was, this was not Ajora's disadvantage. After all, he was unhindered by pain.
Using the excess Light energy near the end of James' combo-attack, Ajora released a powerful stream of golden-white flame from his mouth, covering a large cone-area in front of him- hopefully including James, since he'd just been attacking him at that moment. While any fire that burned on James would vanish after the damage was done, the rest that missed would burn steadily in that cone for the next 3 turns, threatening to catch him in holy flame yet again.

James' last attack was unleashed while still running. So he managed to go into a dash to dodge most of the flames at the last available second. However, he still caught a part of the flame and the heat, the light magic yet again scorching heat. The corsair as always was thankful for his high threshold for pain. As soon as the damage was done, the flames disappeared. Giving no reason to pat off the flames. He had Ajora in close range now, he wasn't about to let the replica get away yet again.
Charging more energy into his claws. The Lunar Avatar dashed forward his clawed hands brought out to his sides as he closed the distance. When he got close enough his clawed hands would attempt to grasp in the Ruthless Vice One reached low to try and crush a leg, the other tried to reach up grab hold of Ajora's swallow or to crush his arm.

Ajora felt the breeze to his side as he watched James dash past him in order to dodge the fire. His first reaction was to twist himself and hop backward in order to give himself some space- by hopping into the flames. He did this while absorbing a third Starlight- this one causing the Seraphic Heart symbol to glow brightly on his back.
[ Faith induced ; MS is now 20 (19.5, round up due to the .5) ; Since he's using Light, though, 18 ]
By the time he reached the edge of the flames, though, James had Dashed forward once again, trying (in a peculiar maneuver) to both disarm him and grab at his leg. While the feral gunner was able to grip his leg (thus stopping him from entering the flames), Ajora let him easily take the swallow, smirking- an odd violet glint in his eyes.
As James gripped tightly at his leg, Ajora absorbed all three remaining Starlights in a single instant- and for a brief moment, his body radiated scorching light. However, even if James attempted to let go, Ajora reached forward and gripped at the arm that held his spear-
-- and in that moment, his entire body exploded with Light energy: Catastrophe. Even if James had tried to Dash away, Ajora would have gone with him via contact, so there was no avoiding the mass eruption of magic energy.
A functioning leg, sacrificed for a grand detonation.

G Gundam: Kyoudai Kasuru YabouJames felt his right hand wrap around the swallow and his left hand wrap and crush around Ajora's leg. His clawed fingers digging in as deep as he could. His focus so intent on the crushing of his leg. His eyes narrowed though as he noted the purple glint in the Bloody Executioner's eyes. He tried to pull away from Ajora realizing something was wrong when he absorbed the starlights. However, Ajora grabbed onto his arm and before the corsair could hope to do anything to get away, there was a massive explosion of light energy. The only thing the Lunar Gunner could do in time was to focus what little Lunar Energy he had left to project the Lunar Barrier around himself. However, even that would not be enough to stave off the massive blast. "Aaaaahhhh!!!" James yelled out in sheer agony from the blast, the energy burning, like his entire body was encompassed by flames as he flew away from the blast zone. His body landed harshly on the metallic outside of the ship upon which they fought. The wind blowing the fur of the coat, slightly cooling to his body scorched so viciously by the power that he had fought so hard to protect. In a brief flash of energy the hexagun reappeared at his side. 'I must get up... must keep fighting,' he thought, his hand slowly reached to grip his hexagun as he tried to rise to once more. 'Do I have enough in me for one last chance...?'As he rose to his feet, he focused all of his remaining energy, preparing to unleash one final attack. His entire body began to glow with the deep purple energy of Fenrir, the Lunar Wolf. "It's not over yet!" James yelled, the deep growl sounding from his throat as the sky began to darken. Though it had been day, night now descended upon the sky. A full moon appeared, looming from behind an ominous veil of dark clouds. The corsair's body glowed even brighter as the moonlight recharged his lost energy. He slowly staggered toward Ajora, hoping to get as close to the Bloody Executioner as he could. When he had taken the few short steps he could muster he raised his hexagun to the sky. He pulled the trigger and a massive blast of Lunar Energy erupted from the gun, the bloodcurdling sound of a howl resonating across the field as the blast went off. As the blast hit the moon the moon shined brilliantly, so bright that it blinded the corsair forcing him to shut his eyes. From the moon, beams of Lunar Light began to fall, like a torrential rain upon the battlefield hitting everyone and everything in a massive area of effect barrage. When the light subsided, so too did the purple glow around the corsair. The wolf mask and claws were gone, the drive released as he fell to hard to his knees and then his body soon followed, his hexagun clattering on the metal floor. Whether Ajora was finished or not, the Lunar Gunner had passed out.

Ajora stood in the same place as he'd been previously, watching James fly off and try his damnedest to remain standing. The Bloody Executioner couldn't help but smirk, leaning on his good leg with his arms crossed. Oh, good, he was still fighting-- wait, what was he doing?
Oh.
Well, that's fancy.
Ajora watched the shot fly up to the moon after the darkness enveloped them, a genuinely intrigued look on his face as he did so. So he summons a fake moon, and wastes all his precious Lunar energy in a single shot at it...? Had to be a Limit Break.
Ding ding.
The downpour of energy seemed almost to move in slow motion for Ajora- not that he was going any faster, merely that he was sitting there pondering it. For a moment, he glanced around at his surroundings, then back down at his leg, before glancing back up at the Lunar flood.
Hmm. It seems to be an area-of-effect, meaning it's not specifically targeting me. Means I don't have to try and guard all of it, but dodging is simply out of the question. Not that I could with this bum leg- a jump with this might send me so far off my intended trajectory that I'd do more harm than good. Oh, good, he's passed out, guess that means I win. Moving on, this limit thing. I could do my best to block easy enough, but that takes eeeeffooooooort, ugh. If only I could get to the edge and just jump off, that way- oh, hey, it's here.
Ajora spread his legs a few feet apart, taking a stance meant to help him keep his footing. Then, with a grin as he looked up toward the onslaught, he lifted his re-summoned swallow in both hands and began to spin it rapidly. It quickly appeared as nothing more than a blurring discus as he attempted to deflect as much as possible.
As his hands and the center of the swallow were directly above him, none of the blasts struck his face, which helped him keep his concentration. He managed to deflect a good bit of the energy- but, due to the magic being of a higher grade than his actual strength, the deflected blasts were only knocked off course. They still erupted a few feet away from him, hitting his legs and body with the blast radius. They weren't direct hits, but hits all-the-same.
His only saving grace (aside from his high remaining HP to begin with) was that this was an area of effect blast. While he was within the target area of the torrent, most of the attack was wasted on decimating the entire arena, not him specifically- if so, the blasts would be homing, not merely an aimless bombing. So when it all ended, the platform (and most of the Bahamut) looked like rubbish, but the fact remained that he was still standing.
Dispelling his spear as the sun revealed itself once more, Ajora rotated his arms as if to stretch them. He seemed utterly unfazed-- he wasn't, of course, he had taken damage, but he was capable of seeming undamaged even in the gravest of situations. After a few moments, he began to hop on over to James using his only functioning leg. As he finally loomed over the Corsair, he grinned, looking holding a hand out in a familiar shape.
"Boom," he said, pulling back the 'trigger' on his 'gun' as he glanced down. His voice had taken on a peculiar Australian accent. "Headshot."
