Kat and The Doctor nodded and got on. Kat attached the belt to her waist. She promised herself before that she would save Sumer but now she had to make sure she did it no matter what.

Bone took off, taking kat and the doctor with him into the air. "I think Sumer might not have realized his full potential as a descendant of a hydra, he's been trying to augment his body with cybernetics.. We could use that against him, but it would only be a matter of time before he did discover that power, and then perhaps overpowered even me.. So, anybody got any solutions for turning him back? I'll tell you one thing, mint is like catnip to dragons, and there's a whole field of it just past sumer's cave. If we could find a way to isolate and concentrate it, that might work to get him under control.."

on the other side of the forest, desmond ran across the two suspended men and chuckled. "You guys need some help?"

"that would be much appreciated." said Adam as he sat on his branch.

"Ok you go get the mint and bring it back here. We can then use it as a pretend peace offering. From there we can get information and try to reach the Sumer inside of that thing."

Bone shook his head. "If you send me to get the mint... I probably won't come back.. and there is one problem with that.. You came to me because you wanted to know how sumer's thinking? He doesn't want peace or peace offerings.. He wants to see the world that hated him burn. BUT if we could weaponize the mint, it might stun him or even send him into.. happyland. Here's my best plan.. we could go in under the pretense of bringing a peace offering, then get him with the mint."


Desmond nodded. "I know where your ship is. I can take you there." he began to lead the way through the trees.

Bone nodded and backflipped off the cliff. As he landed in the cave, beams of energy surrounded him. "Lasers. Seriously, sumer?"
"The name's Lucifer, now.." sumer stepped out of the shadows and bone cringed.
"Dude... you get UGLY when you get mad." Bone laughed. "So.. what brought you over to my way of thinking?"
Sumer/Lucifer grinned. "Death of a person who cared."
Bone chuckled. "Wish I could've seen the look on your face.."
Lucifer laughed. "Yeah, it was something you would have enjoyed. Then, I was abandoned by some jerks to be tortured by robots.. When I realized that I was always going to be totally alone, so the rest of the world might as well not exist, right?"
Bone nodded. "Anyway, there's a few idiots upstairs who wanna try and make a peace offering... They're up by the old mint farm."
Lucifer's eyes became rimmed with blue.. "You know I swore never to go there again except for a little mint now and then."
Bone saw an opportunity. "Why? Is it because of the fact that is where your brother tried to kill you?? You don't want to remember RICHARD!!"
Tears began to form in lucifer's eyes, and a hint of silver began to show beneath his scales, under the rust.
Bone knew: he had found the weak point and he was going to push it until it broke! "Your noble brother. OUR noble brother, I should say. You loved him, you admired him, even when you surpassed him by miles! DO you remember that? He was the one who taught you to make a sword, sumer. I remember that. He showed you how to use it, and taught you everything he knew.. And then you went to fight dragons. You wanted to make him proud as much as you wanted to make Dad proud.. Didn't it feel good when Richard smiled and patted you on the back? 'good job, sumer.'... You lived for those words. and you heard them every time you brought back a dragon's dead carcass, remember?"
Sumer/Lucifer didn't answer. He was lost in a sea of memories. More silver mixed with the rust, and the holes in his diseased-looking wings were beginning to close up.
"All until you changed. All until you fought the hydra... Then the whole world stopped and turned around.. and your own brother tried to murder you.. He thought you were a demon after that curse set in.. He didn't even recognize you, did he? his own brother, lost to him. But... in the long run, you were the stronger better fighter. Your sword had been sanctified by the blood of a hundred dragons. It snapped his blade. Rather than lose to you, a demon... He hurled himself off of the very cliff we are standing in now.. you live above your brother's grave."
Sumer was silently crying now, and he was looking more like his old self.. with patches of rust. "Stop, bone.. Stop. No more memories, please..."
"Why, we haven't even gotten through Claire yet!" Bone was cocky now. "The girl who thought you were extoic, then changed her opinion to 'freak!' The girl who left you for your best friend! You don't want to remember that little story?" a wave of heat blasted though the room, and the patches of rust began to grow again.

"Not only was she my only girlfriend, she was the only person outside of this forest who seemed to care about me. Now she left me in the twinkling of an eye! Well, bone, you almost had me, but now you got me angry instead of sad.. and that was a mistake, because I'm walking a razor edge between sanity and sadistic glee... don't nudge me!"

Bone began to feel a icy stab of panic shoot through him. "Okay... my cue to leave!" he ran out of the laser prison, the beams reflecting off of his scales. "I bought time, Doctor... hope you're ready!" were his thoughts as the now monstrous lucifer chased him through the air, straight up the cliff face.

Adam and Jim stared at the pieces that once was there ship. no one ells was there.
"i think they went to go fight summer." Adam said, braking the short few seconds of silence.
"then we should probably be at his cave then." Jim said.
