Terry nodded. "Yeah, you fell over a cliff. But when I tried to grab you, the branch broke. Then this guy catches you." The way he addressed Hataki meant he was still wary of him.

Kenshin blinked. "Thank you Hataki." He hugged him again.
Hataki smiled and hugged him back. "You have grown some much since i saw you last. How have you been?" He asked.

Terry leaned against the cave wall, listening to them talk. This guy...I don't know why, but he bugs me!

"How did you get out the fire that killed everyone else?" He asked looking st Hataki.
Hataki sighed. "I was not in the fire. I started it." He held onto Kenshin. "They were planning on killing you. I could not let that happen."
Kenshin looked at him with tears in his eyes. "Mom would never do that." He tried to pull away.

Terry stood back up as he heard the nature of the conversaiton. "Hey, what are you trying to say here?"

Hataki sighed and let Kenshin go and watched him run out the cave crying. "They were going to kill him and his mother. His mother was already dead by the time i lite the fire. I pulled Kenshin out in time." He sighed and looked at him. "His father was the one who told they to sacrifice kenshin and his mother to the more powerful daemons for protection. I would not let that happen." He sighed and looked at Terry. "Can you blame me?"

"No, I can't blame you for what you did. But I wouldn't have told him something so startling so suddenly either." Terry said, then ran after KEnshin.

Kenshin stood in the water up to his waist as he cried. He looked back to see Terry and Hataki.
Hataki followed. "I now but I had to tell him the truth." He saw Kenshin in the water and ran over to him. "I am sorry. Your right your mother wouldn't but she was dead they killed her."

Terry scoffed. "You say that, and yet, you're making him cry even more." He shook his head. "Kenshin, if you don't want to hear anymore, let's go home."

He shook his head. "I should have died then." He moved out in the water til it was at his chest." Why did you save me?" He asked Hataki.

Terry felt that somethign was wrong. He stopped talking as he started to look around the area. The woods...it's quiet... He then spotted a shadow in the water. "Gh! KEnshin, look out!" He dove into the water and swam into the shadow's way.

Kenshin pulled Terry out the way and grabbed the daemon. "Touch my mate again." He growled his eyes turning bright red as he got mad. He killed the daemon and threw Terry back on shore as another daemon attacked.

Terry looked at Kenshin as his mate went berserk, killing the demons. Well...that's a confident boost for me. He then heard a whistling noise from far away. What the...? Oh! "Kenshin, heads up!"
The spear soared through the air and impaled itself on one of the daemons.

Kenshin grabbed the spear and finished killing the other daemons. He walked back to shore and collapsed in front of Hataki and Terry.
Hataki sighed and picked him up and carried him back inside. "He used to much power."

Terry scowled as Hataki took Kenshin back into the cave. He keeps doing that and I get madder... "I know he used too much power. He and the spear need to work together move until their wavelengths have synchronized. Not to mention the new powers he and I inherited." He said in a snippish manner. He really did not like Hataki, no matter who he was to Kenshin.
