As soon as the master left the room, Shan hurried out and towards his own. If he was going to wake up at that time, he might as well go to sleep early so he wouldn't feel tired. It only seemed to make sense that way.
Nezu definitely wasn't in the room, because there were no human sounds or mouse squeaks. That meant Shan was alone at the moment. Suddenly feeling tired, he walked over to his bed and lay on it, not bothering to close his door. No one would be interested in peeking in anyway.

Kanda then came out of the bathroom and looked around. He saw that Shan left then sighed. HE laid on the bed then looked up at the cieling. He sisn't know how long he did this for but the next moment he was asleep and out.
At 5 o' clock, Kanda woked up and yawned. He got out of bed, grabbed a pair of black pants then headed to the dojo. When he reached, he changed then waited for Shan to show up.

At five in the morning, Shan woke up and immediately went to the dojo. His master was probably already there, since he seemed like a punctual man. It wasn't like it bothered Shan, but he was still nervous.
There was no one in the halls, which meant he and the master were the only ones of the household awake. That was good news, because he wasn't sure what would happen if someone else had been awake and thus could possibly witness their meeting.

KAnda sat on the floor as he watched the garden outside the window. It was something to do as he waited for Shan. When he finally heard the boy, he turned around and looked at him. "Morning." He said as he began to take off his shirt, since he didn't like training with it and placed it on the floor.
"You ready?" He asked as he cracked his neck lightly and waited for the boy to answer.

As soon as Shan reached the dojo and returned the master's greeting, he had to look behind him to make sure no one was following. He was still paranoid about any fellow slaves who would spy on them to keep the rumor alive. It would be surprising if there was no such person.
At hearing the master's question, Shan nodded. "Yeah, I think so," he replied, a little eager to begin.

"alright then." Kanda said as he stood in front of the boy then examined him. "Have you ever fought in your life before?" He asked as he felt Shan's forearm as he looked for some muscle...which he didn't find..

"Um... no," Shan said. "I've never fought with anyone. Usually people just want to pick fights with me." He looked away nervously as he saw the master stare at him. The man was probably looking for any evidence of a past fight, which won't be there.

"I see..Wellwe're going to have to start from scratch. He stated as he sighed. Where should he start? Maybe with stretching? That would be a good start.
"Lets try with stretching first." He stated as he laid on the floor. "Know any?" He asked as he sat cross-legged.

"Um... Not really," Shan replied. He had attempted a few stretches at one point, but he got a cramp almost immediately after. How pathetic he was, but at least he tried, right? Wrong.
Hopefully Shan's effort wouldn't annoy the master. The last thing he wanted was for the man to have a bad day.

'Stay calm...stay calm...' Kanda said in his head, trying not to yell at Shan. I mean comeon? Honestly? Not even stretching? That was like the basic thing ever. But what could you do.
"Okay then... Lets start with the legs. We'll be butterflies." He said as he uncrossed his legs and put his feet together. "Get into this position."

Without hesitation, Shan copied the position. For a moment he was afraid that there would be a sudden cramp, but so far nothing was happening. He didn't really understand the butterfly position, though, but he didn't complain.
It was obvious that the master was annoyed, and Shan grew very worried. What if eventually he snaps and yells? That wouldn't be a good thing, that was for sure.

"Alright. Now I want you to try and push your knees to the ground as far as you can. That stretches the leg muscles." He said as he gave a demonstration, his knees almost touching the floor. "Like that."

Shan nodded and attempted to push his knees to the ground as the master did, but there wasn't much change between the original position and beyond that. His leg muscles were already hurting and he was worried that a cramp would follow. Cramps in the legs were usually the worst for him.

Kanda looked at his legs then sighed, seeing the partial movement and sighed again. "Alright..Lets try bending to the right leg." He said as he placed his right leg forward and then put his left leg in a triangle position. Then he started to lean forward and stretched his lower body easily.

Once again nodding, Shan attempted to do the same thing. Hesitantly, he managed to copy the master's position, but only more than halfway. At least it wasn't as bad as before.
Still, Shan couldn't help but think his master was still annoyed. It was most likely frustrating for him to be teaching a slave who only knew how to cook and do chores when he could have done slept in. It seems that his efforts just weren't enough to please the man.
