When you're in Color Guard you try to spin everything: A binder, a broom, a water bottle, etc.

You know you're a band nerd when everything you say has something to do with band. Or when you go onto marching simulator websites and can recreate your show perfectly.

-When you hug and congratulate another band friend whentey get in step with you and your friend who si always ins tep with you, even when she tripes.
Confusion fix: Me and tw other band kids have 7th period together. Its off campus so its a bit of a walk, sow e always walk together. Me and the flute player are always in step, even if we trip, etc. Well, the percussion girl is almost neve rin step with us. The other day,w e were heading to that class and she was in step with us. She tripped on the upraised sidewalk, and still stayed ins tep. We started congratulating her, laughing and officially accepted her to the group.
-When you and a friend want to be drum major and realized that you would make a good pair because you are always together.
-Youc ans tya in tempo with a friend even when the tempo changes.

You know you are a band nerd when your band teacher hangs out at your lunch table, or orders pizza for the jazz band during class.

You know you're a band nerd when...
...your life's ambitions revolve around an instrument (or several) ...you're a pit player and accidentally lift the back end of a grocery cart instead of steering it (Who has one locked wheel on their mallet instruments? Show of hands!) ...you wear your marching shoes to a choir concert because they qualify as "black, closed-toe shoes"

When your more excited about getting to play first part than passing a difficult class !
^Happened to me, I'm usually second, and I was soooo happy to find out that I get to play first flute in John William's Fantasy of Flight, i was happier than when i found out I got a B in my french class that i thought I failed.

-When you have more then 5 instruments in your house at a time (Me: 3 clarinets, an alto sax and a trumpet, + an empty clarient case)
-When you have five isntruemtns and are thinking of upgrading to 6 (My friend suggested i relearn trombone, and he has one i might be able to borrow)
-You consider relearning an instrument you sucked at for 3 reasons: 1) its available 2) to try to actually not suck and 3) You like the person who would elt you borrow it
-You consider learnign an instrument because one of the band guys you have a crush on was suggested when you said you needed soemone to teach you
-You make a knotted friendship bracelet with music note, one mthat says band geek, and one that says your instrument on it
-In only a week, you can teach yourself an instrument to a point where you can stand up some of th people who play it at your school(Me: Trumpet. Although that isnt hard...our trumpets suck)
-You have a goal of learning every instrument before you graduated (Me: 5 more! Horn, bassoon, tuba, baritone, and guard)
-When looking at which isntruments you need to learn, you include guard and percussion

you know you're whole FAMILY are band geeks when... ~your dad (or mom i suppose) is the freaking band booster president ~your dad (or mom) is in charge of the entire show your band hosts (winter or marching) ~your mom (or dad) is in charge of the entire Gift, Art, and Wine Auction (a major fundraiser...) ~at said auction, your dad (or mom) buys a lamp made out of a french horn (that a guy in town made because he makes an instrument lamp every year) and NO ONE IN YOUR FAMILY HAS EVER PLAYED A FRENCH HORN ~usually, you find it pointless to even bother turning in the papers your BD sends home looking for volunteers for such-and-such an event because you mom/dad is basically in charge of the freaking thing.... (yes all those have happened to me...*sigh* one of my parents has been on virtually every committee...wtf)

You know you're a marching band geek when you start to absentmindedly count your steps in your head....
"walk 2 3 4 5 6 7 8.... turn 2 3 4..."
