I was at this kid's house (and I hate him, but my sister was dating him at the time), and he was playing Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge in his CD player. My sis broke up with the guy, and I'm an MCR fan. That's about it.
They became my all-time favorite band, and I've never looked back!

a friend of mine made me watch Helena and it was love at first sight. heart
A little while later I forgot about them, until I stumbled upon them once again on the internet, where I downloaded a few of their songs and got really into them. Then I found Revenge at Target (on sale--score!) and Bullets at Borders, completely fell in love, and the rest is history. heart

My music-knowledged friend brought their Revenge to another of my friend's house practically every time we went over there. I seriously knew "Prison" better than "Helena"...we didn't have FUSE, and I wasn't, and still am not, a huge MTV fan. Don't sue me, but I still have to burn Bullets... *hides* So, yeah, I'm not an uberobsessed fan, but just plain old obsessed wouldn't be an overstatement.

I was at my friends house when "Helena" came on t.v..I was like "What the hell is that?" But then I heard it again and the song got stuck in my head to the point of me listening to it over 40 times in a row.My obsession with the song lead to me buying the cd and lead to me falling in luv with Gerard Way..*drools*

Through my best mate who kept going on about them and how much she loved Gerard. ((Note: this is before they where officially a well known band in New Zealand - which is where I live)) So I decided to check them out to find out that what she was saying is true. Gerard is hot and My Chemical Romance is one hell of a good band... okay I lie... They're more then good. They're EXCELLENT! blaugh

hahaha, my mom actually got me started on MCR. She read an article on them in Rolling Stone, and she was like, "hey, you might like these guys. They like Teen Titans, too!" and I was like, OMG!, so I looked them up, and I saw their I'm Not Okay video (the one in the High School setting) and I was smitten! heart

My friend told me about them. Then she showed me the video to I'm Not Okay (I promise). I downloaded their songs and started listening to them.
