Marie slipped on her boots easily enough. Within a minute she was ready to head out her window. However, she couldn't help but smirk at his accent. It was quite charming, actually. "You'll get annoyed if you follow me, remember. I can't run as fast as you..." She reminded with a small smile, trying not to laugh at his prior statement. Without a second to spare, she unlatched her window and let it swing open before perching in the windowsill. A moment later she was swinging from a sturdy branch on a tree nearby. Marie was headed to this patch of forest south of the city. When she got in the mood, she usually hunted there and found plenty. Usually it was just deer, or the like, but occasionally she found a bear or a mountain lion. Of course, while she ran, her heart-rate increased, but only slightly. She didn't have to put much effort into her running, but, she still couldn't run as fast as a vampire.

Bradley grinned at her instruction, as she hadn't given him enough time to verbalize a response. He paused for a second to watch her fluidity through the window, before diving through it headfirst, taking the ninja-roll approach, instead of her graceful tree decent. He hit the ground and shoulder rolled; not because he had to in order to avoid breaking his ankles, but because stunts like that were fun for him. He rolled back onto his feet and ran after Marie, easily passing her in a fluid burst of speed. He circled back around, jogging lazily by her side while she ran; feigning a yawn as he did. He grinned again, happy to be out of a house and back out into the world he knew so well. His senses were on red alert as they ran, but he was determined to let her take the first kill... Unless she took too long. "Ladies first." He teased, his words unaltered by his pace.

Marie rolled her eyes at Bradley as he looped around her. She already knew he could outrun her, no need to show off. However, he did get a small laugh out of her. Faint enough for him to hear, but not loud enough to scare away any animals. When he pretended to yawn at her, she lightly shoved at his shoulder. Not funny...well, not completely funny. After a few moments she caught a scent she'd been searching for. A herd of deer were nearby, and she was glad that he had stated 'ladies first', even if it was just teasingly. Marie stalked around the small clearing they had gathered in, her mind shutting out Bradley's presence to a degree. She easily spotted the largest of the herd. A fourteen point buck. Once her mind had locked in on the deer's heartbeat, that was it. She lunged from her hiding place and snagged him in seconds, taking the grown deer down easily.

Bradley watched her, her movements almost aweing him; almost, of course, being the opperative part of the phrase. He did have to give props to her, though; she did knock out a fourteen point buck without breaking a nail. He stopped a little whiles off, his body rigid and eyes closed. He wasn't hoping for a deer; they bored him. He was looking for something more... 'dangerous'. He inhaled deeply, seeing the world through his blood-lusting nose, and his eyes darted back and forth under granite eyelids. Soon enough, he found what he was looking for. Not his first pick by a longshot, (his first pick being human), he found a mountain lion about seventy yards away. The instant his eyes flew open, he was on the move, and in a blur had sunk his pearly whites into the pulsing neck of the animal. He drank it dry, before standing back up, and slowly walking in Marie's direction, his eyes now sufficiently more golden. "Done?" He asked, with a satisfied look on his face. He could spend all day in the forest, which he had before, but he was unsure of where she stood.

Marie had finished the buck, but was still a bit hungry. Of course, her moves had scared off the rest of the deer. If she really wanted to, she could gut the deer she drained and bring the meat back home. At least the beast wouldn't go to waste. As she thought a moment, a familiar scent crossed her path for the second time in two days. Her eyes grew narrow. "Father..." She uttered in a low growl. Seconds later he was behind her, holding her still. "Go away..." She stated menacingly.
Alexander chuckled at his daughter. As if she could do anything to him. "Oh, I will...I just want to try something first..." He stated. That other vampire's scent still clung around his daughter, which meant he was hanging around. Alex was actually surprised he hadn't killed Marie yet. So, to make things a bit more difficult, he had been waiting for an opportunity like this. The other vampire had gone off to search for other prey, and Marie was left alone. However, Alex manipulated the wind to keep his scent from the both of them as long as he could. Marie could smell him, yes, but the other one shouldn't be able to. However, that meant he could smell the other vampire quite well. And, he was returning, leaving Alex with a small time frame. Perfect. He took his nail and cut down Marie's neck, enough so that she couldn't possibly heal before 'he' came back. With that, he let her go and he ran off. Maybe she'd be dead soon, and it would be nice if it was by that boy's doing.
Marie felt a sharp pain in her neck seconds before she had been let go. She brought her hand up and felt the sticky liquid that was escaping from her. Crap. She was bleeding. Plus, she had been cut deeply, so, it wasn't healing up anytime soon. Not good. She was sure Bradley would be making his way back there some time soon. Plus, her naturally fast heartbeat made the blood flow from her faster. Not good, especially since she could now hear his voice. Marie turned from him, hoping he wouldn't catch the scent of her blood. "Umm...Yeah..." She said softly, doing as her father had done and she made the air keep her scent from him, blowing towards her instead of towards him.

Bradley felt the wind change direction, but thought nothing of it, as the wind was under its own power, or so he thought. His eyes wandered the canopy and the sky above, not paying attention to Marie who was still a while off. "Uhm, yeah? What kind of ans-" He started, before his words were cut off suddenly. It was in that moment that he smelt the delicious human blood in the air. It was faint, but oh, how good it tasted... how it burned his throat with such vigor. But who could be bleeding out here? He thought, before it hit him. Marie was. He still hadn't stopped walking robotically towards her, and as he came closer and closer it was obvious that his entire body was quaking against his urges just to kill her. Do it, his brain seethed, let her tainted blood feed your thirst. He stopped several feet away, shaking and tense, his eyes on her bloody neck. "How did that happen." He said as quickly as was possible, to refrain from breathing. His words were not a question, but a demand. 'Just kill her, goddammit, no one will miss her. She's just a filthy mudblood. Kill her. Kill her. Kill her.'

Marie held her hand tightly over the wound, feeling it grow smaller quite slowly. Yes, she was healing, but it wasn't fast enough. Blood still came from her veins while her body was replacing it. Like a never ending flow. She heard him speak, but was slow to reply. "My father..." she trailed off. Those two words should be explanation enough. She couldn't bring herself to face him. Marie could only guess what was going through his mind at the current moment. None of it could be good. So, she began walking slowly away from him, knowing he could catch up at any moment. Knowing he could kill her at any moment. That was probably the whole purpose of her father's stunt anyways. To get her killed and out of existence. Her clothes were probably soaked with blood by now, and her own too. Ruined, stained, not right, just like her. Why did she have to be both? Why? Life was so much harder on her for that simple reason. "Just...go ahead and kill me if you're going to.." She said softly, unable to bear the quiet between them. "I won't hate you for it...It's not your fault..."

If he had been of sound mind, Bradley's hatred for Marie's father would've boiled in his figurative blood, but he was not of sound mind. He was caught in a war; to kill, or not to kill. Everything in his body told him to kill, to be the predator he was built to be, except for the molecule of human still left in him. Whenever his brain seethed rhetorical questions about who would miss her, the human in him would answer, 'you would.' So caught up in his mind, he could not formulate a proper response to her terrible statement about her death. He quaked under the tensing of his muscles; his teeth clentched tightly together. "I would. I'd hate me for it." He finally answered through clentched teeth and stony jaw, and that was the truth. He knew he couldn't hold off for long, but he hoped he could for just long enough for her to heal, which he figured she was with his limited knowledge of halves.

Marie blushed at his statement. Even though it was said through clenched teeth, she didn't take it the wrong way. She understood why it had to be said that way. Bradley was fighting off the urge to taste her blood. She felt horrible, but there was nothing to be done. Her wound was healing slowly, frustratingly so. "You know...I wonder if you'd be able to change me..." She said in thought as she turned around to face him. She was sure she was quite a sight to be seen. Covered in her own blood, hand securely around her neck. Marie was certain she looked absolutely horrible. "We wouldn't have to worry about this again...but the fact that my blood replenishes itself almost as quickly as I lose it...I don't know if it would ever work..." Wait, maybe that wasn't the best thing to say. She basically just told him that she was like one of those human water fountains, always flowing fresh blood. She only said it because she wanted a solution, Marie hated the fact that he had to restrain himself around her, at least in the bloodlust area.

"Anything's possible with enough venom." Bradley responded without thinking, at the same time inhaling deeply. His mind swam with the scent, and the prospect of a never-ending bloodflow. 'Oh man, just a taste, it won't hurt,' his mind suggested, ' just stop her heart forever.' But he couldn't bring himself to do it. It was love versus instinct, and atleast in that moment, the love, 'wait, love?' was prevailing. "No, I... I didn't mean that... I..." He added, his eyes wide, but teeth now reclentched.

Marie looked at him as he said that. Oh, if he'd just change her she'd never have to worry about hurting him like this again. She knew his throat must be burning with the smell of her blood so close. Plus, he was being so strong to avoid killing her. She bit her lip to try and bite back tears. It wasn't fair. As long as she was half-human her dad would try and pull stunts like this. As long as Bradley was interested in her, her dad would stick around. Maybe it would be best for him if he leaved, best for the both of them. No. Marie shook her head as if to rid her mind of the thought. She didn't want that. "Bradley, he won't stop doing this kind of thing...as long as I'm alive..as long as I'm part human..My father will torment us...You have to think of the possibility of changing me...Things would stop. Yesterday and today are nothing compared to what could happen..." .

"No. I won't do it." Bradley growled in response, the burn growing in his throat. He tried to calm himself, but it was entirely in vain. Oh, how he just wanted her blood and how it killed him at what he'd have to do to get it. "You still have a heart... You're still alive... I will not change that." He growled, his teeth clentched which only added to his tone. Where was her father now? What could he possibly do?

Marie growled in frustration. Did he not understand that if he wanted, her father could make every day like this? It wasn't something she wanted by any means. "Fine...if you won't change me..how about this?" She trailed off, stepping closer to him. A stupid thing to do, yes. "We could try and get you immune to my blood...or at least not want to kill me so badly..." She suggested. The cut was still bleeding, but it was nearly healed up. " By either getting used to the scent or taste..." Now, she was prepared for him to yell at her for even suggesting it, but he had to think about it. Maybe it would be the only way they wouldn't have to worry about this again. .

Bradley's eyes flew wide, the scent burning his throat with a vicious hunger. He involuntarily took a step forward, his eyes focused on the cut with an intensity unique only to predators. He snarled a deep, dangerous snarl, entranced by the blood now much closer than it was before. 'What the hell are you doing?' His human molecule screamed, shaking his entrancement for long enough for him to fly backwards in a blur away. "Do you ******** want to die?" He shrieked. "What the hell are you thinking?"

Marie turned red at his words, embarrassed. "No, I don't want to die, Bradley... I was thinking we could find a way to beat the system...." She explained in a quiet, even tone. She didn't know exactly where he had backtracked to, but she knew he would hear. "Besides, I don't think you could drain me quick enough to kill me..." She stated simply, confidence growing. It amazed her how she was acting at the moment. With a shake of her head, she cleared that thought from her head, any thought about him trying her blood. "I'm going home...." She trailed off, walking past the general area she saw him disappear to so she could head back to her abode and find some human food to eat. .
