Laughing as Raisa jumped into the deep snow, it took Ivan a bit longer to get on his feet. Shaking his fur, he looked up at 'catch' and dove at the snowball. He tried to be careful, but the ball crumbled in his jaws, covering his muzzle and melting on his teeth. He shook his head with a start. "Cold!" He jumped at Raisa intending to push her back into the snow pile.

Raisa let out a sound somewhere between a giggle and a yelp when Ivan caught the snowball in his mouth, crushing it. She jumped back, surprised when he jumped at her and she fell over backwards into the snow pile. With her paws in the air, she kicked them in the air trying to get herself back into a standing position but wasn't succeeding.

Missing Raisa, Ivan slipped head first into the pile. Buried halfway in, he pushed with his back legs needing a few good pushes before he popped out. He sat to shake the snow out of his ears and nose. Laughing when he noticed Raisa Ivan trotted over. "You seem to be in a bit of a predicament." He said, pawing at her tail.

(*bows* Sorry for the last response...)
Raisa flicked her tail at Ivan when he pawed at it.
"I think I'm stuck." She said, still kicking her paws in the air. She lifted her head high enough to see a glimpse of Ivan and she yipped at him. With her wings folded beneath her, she was pretty helpless. "I think my back is frozen."
She wiggled about again and managed to sit up somewhat but still could get onto her paws.

After pawing at Raisa's tail for a moment longer, Ivan walked to her side and dug at the snow. "Okay, I'll get you out." He soon dug his way behind her. Bracing his legs he gently pushed Raisa up and out of her hole. He moved with her and kept pushing. "Can you get out yet?" He wanted to push her all the way, but didn't want her falling onto her face.

Raisa felt herself being pushed out of the snow and she fell forward and onto her paws gracefully. She turned to Ivan and trotted towards him, rubbing her cold nose against his affectionately.
"Thank you my brave knight." She whispered before moving away. Fluttering her wings to get the snow off of them, she groaned slightly.
"Aww, my wings are wet. I won't be able to fly with them like this."

Ivan nearly gasped at how cold Raisa's nose was. "It was my pleasure Flutterby." He said with a loving smirk, which was slightly tilted in worry. When she groaned about her wings his frown deepened. He quickly walked over to inspect her. "Are you too cold? Maybe we should go inside and let you dry up. I don't want you to get sick or hurt your wings..."

Flutterby? She thought over the name to herself and then smiled shyly at him, pawing at the snow.
"Flutterby?" She repeated. "I like that..."
She looked to him and then shook her head.
"No, I'm not that cold and I'm fine. My wings will dry in no time and it won't hurt at all. It just takes a little bit. Trust me, it'll be alright."
Raisa jumped in the air, not assisted with her wings, and didn't go as high before but she still enjoyed doing it. She jumped around Ivan and then began to jump away from him over the snow mounds.

Ivan sighed with relief. "Good. Just let me know if you get too cold." He then smirked. "I like it too, Flutterby." Laughing as Raisa jumped around and away, he ran after her. He wasn't jumping, just running beside her around the snow piles. Sometimes even through them.

Raisa was touched that Ivan cared so much by his simple concern whether she was cold or not. Closing her eyes and enjoying the simple feel of the cold against her fur, she began to slow down to a steady walk; jumping every now and then.
"Don't worry about it." She paused in her jumping and looked at Ivan intently. "But now I want to make up a cute nickname for you. I'm not sure what it should be though..."
Raisa began to hop again beside Ivan like a rabbit and she nipped at his ear.

Slowing to keep pace with Raisa, Ivan took the opportunity to watch her walk. The wind ruffling her fur, nose in the air, eyes closed, he could see her enjoying it. He stopped abruptly when she turned and told him her idea. "A nickname for me?" His brow furrowed in concentration. What kind of name would Raisa come up with?! With a slightly defensive look he shrugged. "If you must. It's only fair." The look quickly vanished when nipped at him. He turned to face her and pawed at her, laughing. "As much jumping as you do, maybe I should call you Flutterbunny instead of Flutterby."

"Well the only nickname that is coming to mind for you is Vinny and hm... you remind me of a really beautiful gemstone that I once saw in the woods but I don't quite remember the name of it so, I guess I'm going to have to think about it for a little awhile about your nickname."
Raisa pawed back at Ivan and giggled uncontrollably, shaking her head at him. Digging up a small pile of snow, she hit at it to throw it at Ivan. "Flutterbunny? Strangely, I kind of like that."

"I look like a gemstone? Interesting." Ivan dodged out of the flying snow, smiling as she giggled. "I think I'll stick with Flutterby. Heck, I might call you both sometimes." He was tossing a snowball at Raisa when suddenly a memory that had long ago been shoved away popped up and Ivan froze in place, a bitter scowl covering his face. He turned away to kick angrily at a pile of snow. "Not Vinny." He growled, wincing at his tone. "I'm not upset with you," He quickly explained, still facing the now demolished snow pile. "Just... not Vinny."

Raisa laughed and took a bite at the snowball Ivan tossed at her and she turned to look at him, catching his scowl on his face and watched as he kicked at a pile of snow. She stared at him for a moment and watched him. She was surprised by his show of anger as she hardly saw him like that at all. Laying her ears flat against her head as she thought she did something wrong, she let out a soft whimper to show she was sorry for whatever she may have done but he surprised her yet again when he apologized. She opened her mouth to question him but couldn't quite find her voice for a moment. She wasn't someone who liked to pry but obviously her mate was upset over something. Getting over being frightened and surprised by him, she took a few small steps towards him. Clearing her throat, she tried again.
"I won't call you Vinny... not if it upsets you love." Raisa said lightly, nodding her head slowly.

Turning his head, Ivan gave Raisa an apologetic and appreciative smile. He rubbed his head against hers and kept it there, sighing heavily. "I didn't mean to snap at you." He said quietly. "What happened was long ago, and is unimportant now." He burried his face in the fur of her neck, embarassed for letting himself get emotional around her. With another deep sigh he pulled back, giving her another small smile like his last one.
