Phantom sighed and turned to Mim. "I'm sorry. It just isn't fair how things have turned. I hate it, I hate it so much."

" A hired artist." Rave countered lightly, standing from the window and studying the glass quizically. " A woman Murony hired me to secure the windows of this place and a castle against magicks. if you have any you prefer.. fire, scrying, death magic, ect.. then tell me and i will infuse wards against such things into the glass." she stretched and, oddly enough, it became clear that besides for talking.. she made no noise at all, not even a heart beat or body heat could be detected. a small charm, pulseing magic, rested on her key chain in the shape of a hawk. it was how she had gotten so close so quietly. it was clear that, dispite talking to them, she had turned away to give them their privacy.

" Joint-contractors actually." pushing her hair back she continued to study the window.. seeming to consider what would work in the frame. in truth she didnt care if they accepted her work, it would be no money out of her pocket if they refused. " Viktik 'Dove', and Ashley Robins. one of them is a coe-worker with a Kara woman."

Followed closely behind Phantom, of course, was Mimicry. She hadn't seen Phantom's room in ages. Hadn't seen her own until she'd gone in there for her jacket. "You've gotta stop blaming yourself. Stop looking towards the past when there's the potential for a greater future. You don't need a man to make you happy, you make yourself happy. Hell, what happened downstairs...you fixed my blade yourself. And you were smiling." Nudging her playfully, she said, "I totally saw some fang."

"It doesn't matter, you're venting." Mim sighed. "You shouldn't just vent though. That'll get you nowhere. Talk to Dana, visit Cole and Kara. You know Gregory and her love having your company. Forget Fury killing me, that's my own problem. Although, I'm sorry, mated or not, I'm not letting him get away with ripping my heart out. Just...make things better for yourself instead of waiting, you know?"

just as the dust drifted over the window something black flashed in the foilage, a tiny figure glad in rabbit fur ziping along the edge of the yard.. with sprawling black hair and vivid purple/blue eyes. the little girl made a yipping sound as a large wolf came after her, death magic heavy in the air as the animated wolves stalked the child. at first she just froze, watching her family in confusion until a red wolf lept at her. with a yelp she was up, racing across open feild as her not-right-family chased after her.

When wiggles and yowls got her nowhere the cub started to shimmer, replaced by a girl a heart beat later. without waiting, the heaten sank her teeth into Phantom's hand.. growling between her warning yips.

below the wolves slamed into the barrior, put in place by Rave's windows. they howled, scratched.. and finally turned to slink back into the woods.
