Right now, the idea I have for my Jedi Dancer is that, she puts on shows and uses subtle Force Persuasion to convince people in areas where they're thinking of taking up arms against a faction to not do so, trying to maintain peace on a low-tier level compared to being a big diplomat talking with leaders, etc.

The dancer part is just what she officially is, because she's mostly an entertainer, but her being a Jedi means she's using what she does to further the ideals for peace, etc. She goes around, puts on shows for people gathering in crowds, then convinces those crowds to advocate peaceful resolutions to whatever they'd otherwise take hostile action over, etc.

Manipulation?

*Explosion throws him accross the street, through swinging doors and into the corner booth of another bar*
Hey barkeep! Corellian Rum and keep 'em coming!

*sighes and shakes her head, walks out*
But seriously, who's going to be my master? Can it please be Obi-wan?

I don't see Kenobi teaching another apprentice, not after the near disaster Anakin became.

Hmmm... I see. But wouldn't Obi want to try it again?

In another decade perhaps. Then again its not really up to him, but up to Yoda and the Council.
Ultimately, the decision lies with Rodyn. If he's ok with Obi-wan teaching you, then theres not much the rest of us can say on it.

If you're apprentice nearly cause the entire galaxy to be enslaved, would you doubt your own abilities? A little bit, I think.

It seems strange to me, personally. Having an established character as a master, I mean. I recommend looking for a player character master. One reason keeping established characters out of the picture, and the other giving you a way to become immersed in how things work around the guild. If DA is willing, she could take you in. Of course, I do not want to force anything.

Not manipulation so much as just letting them understand why taking up arms will only make it worse, all in one whack. She's not gonna go try to tell a trooper to not fight the enemy, unless she specifically goes on some kinda diplomacy mission and that would ruin peace talks or something.

What she'll do is just convince people to just improve their situations with peace rather than aggrivate them with force, etc. Example, she finds out that in one cantina, several people gather to talk about how bad their government is and why they should fight it. She'll end up dancing at that cantina for a while and subtlely using the Force to get into their heads to convince them that fighting the government that's already strained will only lead to anarchy by letting them " just happen to realize " the dangers of what their actions could potentially bring.

The idea is she's trying to get people to avoid fighting and instead, focus on rebuilding, but trying to be " invisible " most of the time by doing so while seemingly being just a random dancer.

If DA doesn't want to, I can always dust off Nebuchanezzar out. If you really want her to get jedi PC trained.

According the roleplay, it HAS been a decade since Anakin.

And it's not like Obi's own training was at fault. You could just as much blame Anakin's advanced age, headstrong attitude, the promise he made to Qui-Gonn, resentment about Qui-Gonn's death, manipulation by Palpatine, or any number of other reasons.
