Blossom Ridell

PostPosted: Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:35 pm

Blossom felt a relaxed breath leaving her lips as the soft magic of Fortify encased her, whisking all of her injury away. Her left eye opened as the burn faded, leaving behind only a red mark centered near her now-singed eyebrow that would fade with rest and time. She looked at Domanova with a mixture of sadness and anger; he had hurt their friends, he had to pay, but... it seemed bad, somehow, to kill someone like this.

"I leave my fate in your hands now. Make your final move."

Blossom was never good at fighting people if she spoke to them first.

"...I'm sorry, Domanova the Brilliant," Blossom murmured. She closed her eyes, lifted Vezra's blade... and plunged it down into Domanova's chest as a single tear fell.

Isadora dodged the first arrow as she charged forward. The second arrow nearly made a graze to her right shoulder as she weaved to the left. However, the third was about to pierce her. She quickly held up her shield as the arrow struck, sending its electric through.

Although she didn't feeling the pain, she felt the stinging of the electric running through her arm. It nearly sent the goosebumps up. However, it was better than being pierced. Who knew what would happened if it did?

Once the current of the electric had disappeared, Isadora rode passed Melethia. She didn't know what was going on between her and the Sniper. However, she refused to kill a member of her guild. Killing an ally was worse than killing an enemy.

When she came across where her spear landed, Isadora picked it up and went back to join the battle.

That was it.

At first, he only knew he'd been stabbed by the sword protruding from his chest. Ha...how interesting. Even at his death, he was looking at the world scientifically...

The wound began to throb. His heart must've been pumping out of control--of course it was, he thought, tasting the blood in his mouth, it's been punctured through. He trembled slightly.

One searing flash of pain widened his blue eyes, already beginning to glaze over as his body started to shut down. Blood slowed in its vessels. Organs began to stop working. The pain got worse and worse and finally brought him to his knees. This was it...

His sight blurred to nothingness.

It was like he'd returned the womb at that moment: the pain was dulling, and everything was growing warm, so warm. All he wanted at this point was to sleep, as if he really was one of the unborn. To curl up in a little ball.

And then--he could barely make it out, hearing only its tone and melody. The voice he'd longed to hear for so long was calling out to him, laughing so joyfully. He wanted to join in...to laugh along with him...

"Johnathan...it's...so good to see you again."

He fell silent and his body grew still.

At last...he was home.

Now looking at the situation occuring with Shento and all of them, Ziaram made his final choice. Bringing forth the light brand that he took from the equipment area, he brought it up, aiming it at Shento. "This will hurt, though...these are my allies here. So I have no choice but to fight." Sending the wave of light at Shento, or that was what he wanted. The wae ended up coming back and hitting him. "Oww...ok I won't try that again." Bringing out the elixer, to treat his wounds.

"Me?" he looked in Mika's direction. Oh, so she had her voice back. And she looked upset. Perfectly understandable--he HAD ruined a perfectly good final battle banter moment. But really, he thought Ereshkigal pushed things a bit too far...

Willing together his mental defenses was getting to be a chore, but he still managed. The darkness that is Ereshkigal--ghosts and demons of malice, of regret, of hatred tore at him, rending flesh and leaving bleeding wounds behind. Rhys' white robes had turned to red.

...Of course, many of them had merely tapped on his mental shields. He still had energy left.

...And Madriana. Umm. ...She didn't seem AS evil as in the past, but it was clear she'd help Mika first and foremost. Well. He'd take the two of them with THIS.

"Thousand petals, blowing... swirling, eternally... Antaram," he countered, and the dark petals whirled around the pair. They didn't even have to make two circles, as they were close enough! Rhys made the petals circle around faster and faster. They wanted to escape? They'd have to go through the petals of holy magic... all the thousands of them.

Blossom had seen people die before. Many soldiers had fallen to her blade on Elibe, when they had been fighting for their country. Morphs had died at her hand here in Learania, when she was fighting for her friends. And here, in this place, morphs had died, when she was fighting for her life.

Another tear fell onto Domanova's burned shirt.

She wanted to run. She could see not thick, curly brown hair, but black, a face with the same blue-grey eyes, the same blood coming out of his lips... Blossom's eyes blurred. To walk away now, to deny him a listener to his final words would be an insult. She had to stay.

She wanted to run.

Blossom kept Vezra in Domanova's chest, taking in a breath as he spoke, so quiet and pained, strained with the blood coming up his throat... "Johnathan... it's... so good to see you again."

Blossom very slowly drew the blade out of Domanova the Brilliant. She stared at his blood on her blade. She stared down at the blood that bloomed across his body from the wound in his chest. She had inflicted that wound.

She set down Vezra, took a step away from Domanova, and heaved.

She rubbed her mouth clean a minute later, picking Vezra back up after using the grass to clean the blade. She held it in both hands as she made her way back down the hill towards Aidan in the others. She lifted her chin to meet his gaze.

"...He's dead."

Ed followed Shento's agile movement with her eyes, but he seemed even quicker than that. Already he was missing from her vision and she could only glance around in bewilderment, and she gripped her sword in frustration, glaring at Melethia, sweat down the back of her neck. She stood in that momentary confusion until she heard:

"Thirty percent output....!"

Ed whipped around at that. Now, things didn't slow down for Ed, so this happened quite abruptly. A surge of pain in her abdomen and she was staggering back, tripping over the corpse of a morph and falling flat to the ground, panting, holding the arrow in her abdomen with her wounded arm, trying to keep her hold on Aegis unbreakable. She definitely angered the wrong man.

Ed shakily yanked the arrow out with a grunt and reached for an elixir in the pouch hanging from her waist. But by then, it would probably be too late.

Ol' Mel be incineratin' me now, aye... Sorry, Papa, sorry brothers, sorry comrades...

As she applied the elixir, she glumly expected a finishing blow.

Fa rested enough. Now it was time for her to take action. She swooped down and shot more light balls of energy towards the morphs. She stomped on a couple of morphs faces as she landed. A morph stood 10 feet away and let a random arrow loose. Fa jumped back up again and the arrow pierced her wings together and entered her back. "Waaaaaaaaaaaahhh!" Fa cried as both her wings were stuck together and she had been hit by an Arrow of all things. "Someone!!!! Heellllp!!!" Fa yelled as she could barely crawl anywhere.

Oh, the gall of this child! At least his kids had the ability to take responsibility for their actions. She says she has nothing to do with Teifi's death! The man's muscles tensed, more in anger than worry about Amelia's skills. She ran at him.

"Girl, take some responsibility!" He prepared to swing the axe as she advanced on him with a swing, but then the feint! Kyros did little more than flinch at her movements, a jerking movement sending the naginata scraping against the lower parts of his armor. Turning around to face the girl, Kyros swung the Dullahan in a sweeping manner, in such a way to not only cut the girl, but to push her away should she live through the attack.

"See, because you spurned Teifi, she went to find you, I assume, which lead to her death." He composed himself, returning to a combat stance. "So it is your fault, foolish brat. And don't blame her actions on the influence of another. She was entirely normal, and you killed her instead of just saying no!"

"...Blossom..."

He'd been the one to plan this attack, the one to set the gears spinning, the man behind the curtain.

But for once, he didn't know what to say.

Aidan simply placed a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder and squeezed it gently.

Mika looked surprised... He had Antaram.. Where did he get it?!
She backed up against Madriana. "DAMN! Damn you Rhys! What is this? How did you get that spellbook?!"

She looked at Madriana. "MOVE!" She screamed to her.

She ducked her head and began to try to run through the petals. She screamed. It was too much, and she tripped and fell to the ground, still in the middle of the petals. She threw her hands over her head. Light magic... Damn it! Why did Rhys have to be a light user?!

Madriana looked around. "RHYS! NO! Please!! She doesn't know what she's doing!" she screamed. "I am good!" She said weakly, as she got a little dizzy... "These petals... They hurt!" She said.

She knelt down and covered her head, copying Mika.

Shento landed and walked over and stood in front of the wolf girl. He looked down at her, his eyes both full with fire and yet cold at the same time. His hair blew gracefully behind him, as a breeze picked up some.

However, he didn't raise his bow. He reached into his pack and threw out a light seal upon her. He now had three left. He could have killed her, but this girl seemed to know Katalis well. Perhaps a friend she had met when she arrived to this world. Out of respect of that, she would be allowed to live. However, he wasn't going to let her come back into the fight.

"Stay there. No more fight."

He then took off, knowing exactly where his sniper opponent was. The next thing the green sniper heard was "Discharge." A surge of electricity then followed. The man was knocked out from behind the trees. Shento aimed his bow at the man, slowly charging, ready to release if the man moved. The charge was already passed thirty percent.

Leon got up, now completely composed that the threat to him was gone. Besides, Blossom needed some comfort by the looks of her. The fear of being crushed would never leave him... but he wasn't going to let it rule him. A friend was in need... it was time to meet those needs.

The Watchman placed a hand on her other shoulder, smiling. "'E was sufferin', Blossom. 'E di'nt want this fight as much as we did. This be the only way t' make 'is pain go 'way. Why, I woulda done it for ya had I been sane... sorry I lost m' mind there... but I be scared, ya know? Now ya gotta hold this guilt ya don't deserve... cuz' really, this be 'is wish all 'long. He be peaceful... ya see. 'E was smilin'."

"Peaceful... smiling." Victoria echoed the words. "Yes, and he missed someone he's finally reunited with. May the Saint and Goddess guide him..." she shut her eyes, again praying for another soul in need of guidance.

Amelia had thought she had aimed at an unarmored part of his torso. But no, she heard the distinct noise of the naginata's sharp blade pushing against armor. "Girl, take some responsibility!" She had to stay composed, she couldn't lower her guard. She rose to her feet, moved to swing at Kyros' neck--

He turned faster than she had thought he would. His mighty axe was swinging for her side, and before Amelia could dodge, the weapon dug deep into the flesh of her side, under her ribcage. The yell ripped out of her throat, laced with pain as the force of his blow sent her tumbling a few yards away.

Blood was coming fast out of her side. Amelia panted as she pulled herself onto her feet again, stance wobbling. Too strong... too strong to fight alone...

"See, because you spurned Teifi, she went to find you, I assume, which lead to her death. So it is your fault, foolish brat. And don't blame her actions on the influence of another. She was entirely normal, and you killed her instead of just saying no!"

Amelia shook her head. "I didn't... I didn't want her to die...! She was willing to kill the rest of my family just to hold me hostage...! I wasn't the one that killed her! I didn't... until you said it, I didn't even know she was dead...!" Amelia backed up, dithering back and forth. Run, or attack? Run, or attack?

His arm. His axe arm. Cripple the axe arm. There was less armor there, exposed hands... it could be done.

Amelia gritted her teeth. Would he expect her to run in after being injured? Leaving behind a small trail of blood, Amelia ran at Kyros. Adrenaline, fear, desperation fueled her and sped her feet as she tried to run right underneath his arm, sending a powerful slash at his armpit along the way.

Ledreak Bonqueesha

PostPosted: Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:58 pm

Peering out. Hearing out. "Behold Ledreak Bonqueesha. Strongest lancer you'll ever meet." That's exactly how it was supposed to come out, if Deborah hadn't been so full of herself. "OH b***h. LEDREAK BONQUEESHA'S GONNA SNATCH YOUR ALTITUDE AN' MAKE IT SOME CHEESE, IF YA KNOW WHAT AH MEAN." He grabbed at his blade, on the part just before it. His other tip dug the ground a new hole, and Ledreak yelled "FIRE!" Graver's end became the crooked end of the crowbar, other than that, it remained the same, relatively. It still smoked in all directions, that black haze fumed the air. Raping the oxygen with theoretically darkened smoke.

"No anchovies, Deborah." He walked over to his newly coordinated nemesis and jabbed at her with the crowbar end. His afro, mangled and miss-shaped, still bounced lively in the wind's force.
