Raquel nodded as she picked up their few plates, going to place them into the washer for herself, though kept out the wine for herself and Damian if he wanted, though she wouldn't let him have too much. With all the pain meds he was on, too much wine, if any at all would be bad for him. She had to keep that in mind.
"Lorey'll love that." She nodded as she finished up, going to let the pots and pan she used to soak before putting them away in the washer. When she finished,, she stretched, yawning a little as she leaned against the counter. "I love those things too...its like sleeping on a cloud." She smiled cutely towards him as she took another long sip of wine. It was making her rather sleepy, and it was apparent she had been drinking a bit too much but the way her cheeks were turning a little pink.

Damian craned his neck to see her. The pinkness in her cheeks, the heavy look her eyes had... She was beautiful. Young, with promise, and the hopes and dreams to match.
"You belong in heaven, so of course you shall have a cloud to sleep upon." It was corny, maybe, but he liked saying corny things to her.

She smiled shyly, looking down at the floor a moment, shaking her head. "I dont think I'd like heaven unless you were there..." She admitted, smiling up at him, her eyes glittering like they did when she was happy. "But I dont know if they'd let you in. You're too perfect and might make the other angles jealous..." She gave him a wink s she sauntered over to him,slipping her arms down form behind him to give him a hug. "But thats ok, I'd rather not share you." She smiled as she whispered into his ear, kissing the side of his neck sweetly as she sighed.

All the years at the ball room had guaranteed that transformation from innocent boy to tainted man who knew too much.
"They'd only let me in if you were there to state my case." Damian chuckled a bit, and motioned for her to sit on the couch with him. She looked sleepy from her drinking, like always.

"And they'd let me in? Good lord where have you been?" She smirked, coming over to join him,snuggling right up. "I say...screw those pearly gates....screw hell to. i'm fine right here I am...here with you..." She smiled lightly as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, taking him in so close.
"...I've told you how much I love your smell right?" She chuckled quietly to herself, fighting off sleep in all that comfort.

"A few times," he said with a kiss. "Though, as for those pearly gates... I think a comfortable eternity with you would be lovely. I imagine us lounging in some kind of afterlife, just like this, in perfect contentment. You enamored with the way I smell, and I with everything I see before me."
And with the way he gazed at her, everything he saw was just her.

Raquel smiled so softly, reaching up to touch his face carefully. "...This'll sound funny....but..." She seemed to blush a little, shrugging as she traced out his features. "...Its so...surreal... I mean, its like hard to imagine someone loving me so so much.... its almost unrealistic but then I just...I see you...." Her eyes seemed so soft and so bright as she took him in.

"We're both unrealistic, wouldn't you say?" He knew they'd been over this quite a few times. Both were the social extreme of either wealth or poverty changing right to their own personal extremes. Damian went from selfish, womanizing, power-wielding b*****d to a nurturing, refined gentleman. He still had his tendencies, which Raquel tempered and luckily in some ways mirrored, but everything was working out smoothly. And Raquel, she was street filth raised upon her feet and made to glow once more.
Yes, they were both completely surreal.
"Now all we have to do is live in an unrealistically beautiful place on a serene planet, and enjoy ourselves. This should not be too difficult."

"Not for us at least..." She smirked but kissed him gently. "Nothing seems impossible for us..." She played with a little of his hair as she felt herself growing sleepy, the wine and heavy meal taking its toll on her.

Teagan approached the door with a heart beating like that of a frightened bird. She'd no reason to be nervous, but the guilt of showing up empty-handed was weighing her down.
A few short knocks were given before Teagan took a few steps back and tried to look casual as she waited for someone to answer.
"Except for having a calm life," Damian said, and just as the knocking came upon the door, too. He rolled his eyes.
"Speak of the devil. Wonder who that could be?"

Raquel smiled, kissing him deeply before pushing off the couch. "I'll get it..." She winked, heading towards the door.
She opened it with a smile, finding Teagan there. "Ah- Hello there." She smiled cheerfully, though slightly surprised as she opened the door a bit wider. "Teagan was it?" She asked with a friendly c**k of her head, trying to fight the urge to ask about Nat.

"Yup, that's me!" she said so cheerfully. She found it odd that Raquel, of all people, was the one answering the door of a house that wasn't her own. It wasn't until she was about two steps in the door, though, that a thought hit Teagan.
"Oh gosh, Richard and Lorey are on their honeymoon, aren't they?" she said, more than asked. "I came here to apologize for not baking them the bread they wanted, but here they are, gone from the nest..."
How awkward. Teagan had no real reason to be there after all, and there was Raquel, just standing there as if she wanted to say something but was holding back. Teagan could tell by the way she held herself so carefully.

"Oh, yeah, they left just yesterday before all that rain. I'm sorry you had to come all this way though... would you like something to drink?" She offered, shutting the door behind her, glancing over to Damian.
"And- oh, you remember Damian..." She gestured to her fiancee with a smile, waiting to see if Teagan would accept her offer of a little resting spell so maybe she could talk to her.

Damian... yes, she remembered him all too well. Damian didn't seem to like Nat, and he was someone who Nat didn't want to be compared to. How did Damian measure up to her expectations when alone, or at least only with Raquel around?
"Sure... I'd love to hang around for a bit, get to know you two before y'all head back to your city planet. Druis must be a big stretch from what you're used to, eh?"
Teagan followed Raquel to the kitchen for her drink. Being left alone with Damian, who had only smiled and nodded, was a bit too awkward for her.

"Oh completely! Its so fantastically different here-...We're thinking of eventually settling down here...who knows right now." She smiled trying to pass it off as casual as she went to get her and Teagan some ice cold lemonade. "...You know...how about we go enjoy these outside? I've been wanting to explore Lorey's future flower gardens that I'm sure you'll have some words of wisdom for. I'm also curious about what life here is like..." She made an extra glass and brought it over to Damian.
"And you mister, can rest that leg." She winked, kissing his forehead sweetly as she went over to get the other two glasses, handing one to Teagan. "If that's ok I mean... we can sit in here if you'd like..." she offered as well, though really just wanted to talk to Teagan alone for a moment.
