Leon rose up, and notice a rag that had been neatly folded onto his forehead fall onto his covers. Who put that there?

His answer came when he looked in the direction of the doorway, seeing a familiar set of robes... with socks stuck to them as usual. "M-Magnet?" The knight muttered weakly. "Were ya the one that took care of me? I'm sorry, makin' ya work so hard... but Cap'n Dan started it, sayin' I was 'fraid of mercs."

Isadora nodded. "Right. I'm on my way."She gave one last concern look at Ed before departing.

Although it would be faster for the paladin to ride her horse, it would be easier for her to find a light or stave user on foot. She knew that Rhys was back in FEFGA's house, but it would take hours for her to reach there. Besides, that would be too long for Ed to endure the pain.

Her only chances were to find someone in Eyris, somewhere in the festival. But who? She could look for Father Renault, but he didn't seem to be the type to hang around the festival. Serra is maybe somewhere else, doing shopping. The other healers could be somewhere else too.

The only person Isadora could think of that would be a light user or a healer would be Victoria. Victoria would be the type of person who would hang in the festival. But where?

"Victoria!!!" Isadora shouted as she continued running through the crowds. Oh St. Elimine, please watch Ed and make sure she will be recover soon..."

A messenger rushed into Victoria's room, a tiny note in hand. He handed it to her rather hastily... "Lady Bishop, it's for you... A distress call from the outside."

"I see." Victoria looked at it, and was also surprised to be called "Lady" of all things. She wasn't nobility by any standard! Then again, her gifts were rarer than noble blood. Of course she was a Lady. "Arashe, just rest by yourself... I have something to take care of."

Covering up the Ranger, Victoria took her leave of the small healer's establishment she worked in during peacetime. She read the notice. This is the crewmember Isadora. I have an emergency.... come quickly with your Recover staff.

That's all.

It didn't take long for the bishop's brown eyes to recognize the Paladin in question... she was right out there in the crowd. "Lady Isadora... you called?"

Isadora stood a few feet outside the entrance. Behind her were the crowds either passing or standing in front of the booth. Though the merry cheer and laughters were heard to her ears, the thoughts of worry and concern of Ed's condition were plaguing her mind.

The paladin was lucky that she ran into someone who had just went to the arena. After informing Isadora of the battle and helped Victoria carried her friends to the health center, Isadora gave the note and informed the messenger to deliver. She then followed the messenger behind, hoping he would lead her to the Bishop. After all, time was hasting.

When she saw Victoria stepped out and asked, Isadora gave a nod. Her expression were filled with grim and worried. "Yes, I've called you. It's an emergency. Followed me, quickly!"

Isadora then turned and went in a hasty jog, given some time for the Bishop to follow or catch up with her. If she splinted immediately, she feared that Victoria would get lost along the way. The paladin informed Victoria what was going along the way.

"Ed is in pain. I don't know how or what have happened, but it seems that the pain is too much for her to bear. I gave her some elixir to ease her pain, but I don't know how long it will help. Ganon and Ziaram are with Ed, trying to comfort her in the back alley. Hurry, we must make haste! Time will be wasting if we don't help Ed soon!"

"Relax." Victoria told her as she was following her as fast as she could... one hand on the shoulder of Isadora's armor. "If you're nervous and stressed around her, then it's only going to make things worse. I'll help her.. I never said I wouldn't. Just show me where she is."

"You're right that we should not be panic, whether we are in the battle or not." Isadora replied as she tried to weave through the crowds. With so many people at the festival, it would be difficult to move around.

"However, as I said, I don't know how or what had happened to Ed. She was screaming and in pain. There were no wounds or any injuries laid on her.... There was a mark." Isadora remembered as she made a turn on the right, Victoria's hand was still holding onto her shoulder armor. " A symbolic mark I have never seen before. I don't know how Ed got it, but..... That was where she was hurt the most. That mark on her stomach."

Isadora turned her head slightly to see Victoria's face. "Do you think it's magic that's hurting her? If so, maybe you know a counter spell to stop it. We should be near the alley, it isn't far from now."

"Magic. It's a possibility. The runes in the tomes activate any spells, and they're carved in staves. A symbol might be a rune... a spell." Victoria explained some of her knowledge of the way magic worked through what she learned in the various abbeys she traveled to. Bishops were well-versed in magic. "Let me see it first, then I'll decide what to do."

Ed rolled her head back and forth. She wasn't sure whether to be awake or to be asleep, but she held close to the hgi-val, finding comfort in her friend's scaly presence.

That's...right. 'e were a queer stranger, 'e was. Liked 'im, ah did. Wanted ta be like Ganon 'ere. An' that's why...I took up...tha'...thing.

She was starting to forget words too! That wasn't a good sign.

Then she felt a staff on her shoulder...and tilted her head up. She squinted at the figure's face... That was weird. Wasn't this face from, like, months ago? Really weird. Maybe she was seeing things.

But she recognized it. Even though her head wasn't clear about what it meant, Ed managed a numb nod.

"Uh-huh," she mumbled.

Mika shook her head slightly. She was growing bored watching this. This wasn't helping her. She wondered where Loki's "Old friends" had wandered off to anyway. Pretending to be friendly wasn't going to make her any happier or make things any better. She decided she wasn't even going to try. It was time to go find the heroes. She decided to head off in the direction of FEFGA's mansion.

Victoria twitched when the the darkness passed by her, but when she found out it wasn't going in her direction, she sighed in relief. She forgot where it went for the moment, and looked down at the wolf her Recover staff's aura blanketed. "Are you okay?" she asked her.

Then it hit her. She remembered that direction where the darkness was heading. "Fefga's manner! What's it doing there? I should tell someone... but I can't leave. Wait, I know... the Watch! They should be able to fight off a mere Ancient user."

"Lady Isadora... we should signal the Watch to go into Fefga's manor, I felt something suspicious." Victoria stated.

Huh? Where was the face going? Not even a good bye?

Ed supposed she really did imagine the face then. She groaned and stuffed her face against Ganon until Victoria arrived.

"Are you okay?"

Ed looked up and blinked wearily at the woman. This one was also blurry and also familiar, yet somehow different from the one who'd come by earlier. She squinted at the Recover staff and tilted her head, but she soon became vaguely aware that her muscles were relaxing.

"Uh-huh," she mumbled again.

((...... Isadora had never met the Watch before nor how to contact with them. sweatdrop ))

The paladin sensed something disturbing passed by. It was somewhat familiar...... yet it felt different. She couldn't figure out why it felt familiar or where it came from. However, whatever it was, it had passed.

Looking down at Ed, she noticed that the girl was still in the same condition. There were no sign of improvement nor any critical pain. Just the same state as she was before.

As Isadora watched Victoria healed Ed with the Recover staff, she let out a sigh of relief to see that the pain was gone from Ed. It was a relief to know that Ed was going to be fine.... But why was Ed in pain in the first place?

Suddenly, she heard Victoria addressing her. Curious and doubt came over her mind. "Suspicious at Fefga's manor? Are you sure? How?"

"I think I can awnser that for her. These strange feelings, and I am sure I'm not the only one who has felt thenm, as well as this strange state Ed went into. These I would gues are not normal. Plus, would we be able to trust whatever was by here? Those are the suspicions."

{Wrong account again. D: Idon'tcare. :V And Isa, from what I understand... the Watch is like a police force, and there's messengers everywhere... especially during a Festival.}

"I sense other magic users very well." Victoria told her. "This was one of the Ancient ones... or rather, their descendant. What you'd call a "druid." Anyways... we have to send another of the messengers floating around here... those knights of the Watch can take care of one Ancient user."

((I'm not saying that I don't know who are the Watch. I'm saying that Isadora had never met the Watch because she was away during the Easter Event. And since she's never met them, she doesn't know how to contact them.))

Isadora bit her lips. She wasn't sure what made Victoria think that the druid was heading to FEFGA's manor. However, she knew that both she and Victoria felt some disturbing presence passed by. In addition, Victoria could sensed it was a magic user since magic could easily be sensed to another. The paladin couldn't be able to decipher the presence so easily as Victoria did. But if it put the Bishop unease, then it was part of her job as a knight to see what could be.

"Alright," Isadora spoke. "If it's to put you in ease, I'll go to FEFGA's manor and check it out. In the meantime, I want you to stay with Ganon and make sure that Ed is recovering. If it's bother you about me going alone, you can contact the Watch since I have not met them nor know how to contact them. I'll be back as soon as I can."

Isadora turned around and disappeared into the crowd. After few turns from the town, the paladin was on the edge of the town where she placed her horse in at the stable. Saddled up her horse, Isadora rode off to FEFGA's manor.
