Elysia moaned again.
"K'van, quit yelling," she mumbled, head pounding. "I dunno what happened. Really."

"What happened when you got to your hotel room last night, Elysia?" Riza asked.

Elysia didn't respond for a minute.
"....I came in and took off my jacket..." she began slowly. "I remember hitting some dude in the face...really hard. He got angry with me and..." she winced. "Everything's blurry after that..." her voice faded as she relaxed, knowing she was okay with Riza and K'van.
"Next thing I know, I wind up here..."

Elysia tried to open her eyes to look at K'van, but her eyelids refused. She gave up and sighed, her face going a little red from K'van's statement.

Riza came to a screeching halt at the office. She threw the doors open.
"Get out, Romeo," she said. "I need your help getting her up to the med bay."

Elysia couldn't move very well. She lay where she was, trying not to drift off. She was thinking long and hard about what K'van had just said. Was he just teasing her? Or was he serious?

When Elysia was in one of the hospital beds, the doctors began to treat her wounds immediately. They figured out she had some bruises on her side, maybe from being kicked? The gash on her head was probably caused by someone hitting her over the head with something, and that led to the bloodstains in her room.
She'd obviously been kidnapped.
And the military was out to see who it was.

Elysia's head was now bandaged pretty well, despite the already healed gash. She had fallen asleep during the doctors' examinations.

Roy was talking to some of the officers sent to find Elysia's kidnapper.
"The kidnapper's identity is still unknown, sir," said one.
"Then make it KNOWN!" Roy snapped. "This won't rest until that person is found and punished!"
"Y-yes, sir!" They all ran off.

Roy had gotten the needed reports when Riza and K'van had returned. Roy was too concerned for his niece to clobber the kid.
"She should be fine," he said. "The medics said she just needs a day of rest, and she'll be out by tomorrow afternoon." He sighed. "I'm assigning you to keep an eye on her, K'van, in case the kidnapper tries to get at her again." He turned and ran off down the hall.

Elysia lay still in the bed, sleeping deeply. The doctors were running a test to make sure her brain wasn't damaged from behind hit so hard. So far, she was all right. Their tests only concluded that she might have a headache for a few days. Her memory might be fuzzy, but she'll remember something from that night eventually.

Elysia shifted and turned her head over as she slept. The only doctor remaining sighed and left his clipboard on the door for one of the nurses to get. He opened the door and saw K'van.
"Are you here to see Mythical?" he asked.

"She'll probably sleep until tomorrow morning," the doctor said. "She had a good whack to the head, so her memory of last night might be a bit fuzzy. She has bruises all over her body, but she should be fine. You can see her if you like. Besides, if you're guarding her, you may as well be in there so nobody gets in through the window, you know?" The doctor shrugged and walked down the hallway.

Elysia turned over again, in response to her dream. It was fuzzy and she heard a deep male voice talk to her.
"Hello, Mythical Alchemist," he said. "Let's go somewhere." She felt something hit her head, and Elysia's eyes flew open, the side of her head throbbing.
