Cheria smiled. "Thank you, Jake..." Cheria held his hand close to her cheek, and as tiredness came over her, she smiled and dozed when a wave of weakening contractions came and so did the doctor and her staff.

The doctors gathered around her as they all prepared for the birth of their first child. Jake held her hand and watched them as they also helped her prepare as well.

Cheria tried to bite back a scream when a fresh wave of painful contractions hit. She bolted up right, and then sank back down. The contractions came closer and closer together, and she tried to be brave and not cry out, but it was hard. "Jack, it's hard, the pain, everything!" Cheria gasped as she felt movement, and her water broke, dripping down her legs and some of the liquid got on her tail. "Will you stay right here with me, Jack, while I'm giving birth, or are you going to be some where else?" Cheria looked at her husbands face, her eyes searching, and then her back arched.

"Don't worry I'll be here through it all..gnnrggh." he replied wincing a little at her clawed grip. Yet he held her hand with a reasureing grip. "We made a promise to go through this pregnancy all the way to the end together remember? You were one month along when we made that promise!"
Jack did feel a bit useless, yet comforting was all he could do now. "Don't give up Cheria! I'm right here!" he called to her as her back arched.

Cheria nodded, she remembered all right. She heard the doctor telling her to push, so she did. She kept that up for at least 12 hours, and at last she heard a wail that made her smile. Gasping with a new wave of contractions, Cheria looked, puzzled at Jack. "I only thought you said that I was having only 1 baby, but I'm actually having twins?" Cheria noticed that the contractions were not as long, or as painful, and she struggled up into a sitting position to see what was the problem. Her newborn son was still wailing, and the other doctors were standing about, wondering at the new complacions. "Jack, what's wrong?"

"I don't know, maybe they're both ready. Cheria, just try to focus on what you have to do right now!" He replied, happy to see his first son being born. He was a bit afraid for the other one though. I just hope our second child comes out the same. I really don't want to see Cheria in anymore pain than she is now. I know we talked about the whole stillborn but I just hope it doesn't happen.... he thought a bit worried.
Hugging her gently, he kissed the top of her head. "Just relax for now honey! I'm right here ok?" he said ready if another wave of contractions hit.

Cheria nodded, and then settled back into a comfortable position for her. Another 12 hours passed, and Cheria gave birth to their second son, only, she didnt hear a pircing wail. Sitting up, she saw her tiny son, blinking up at her. Cheria picked him up, and cuddled him, when it hit her. "Jack, this one is a breech..." Cheria wiped off the blood, and cuddled him, holding him close to her body. "So prefect, Jack, so prefect!" The baby finally started a thin wail, his ears and tail licking to life a couple minutes later.

He smiled. Letting out a relieved sigh he looked at his son she was holding. "I'm so proud of you honey. You're such a trooper. They're both perfect. We haven't thought of names yet have we?" he said proudly looking at his children.

"No we havent. I'm thinking Israel for our second son, and Caleb for our first. Is that ok?" The doctors took Irsael away from his mother to cut the cord and handned him back to Cheria. Israel wailed his thin wail and Cheria put him on her chest. Soon, the sound of suckling was heard. Caleb woke up and whimpered in his father's arms. He was clean, but he was hungry!

He chuckled handing Caleb to Cheria. "I think he's hungry too! Those are fine names. Cheria would you like something to eat? you've been in labor for a while. I can go pick something up if you can stomach something. If not then I'll let you rest." he replied kissing her cheek She had given him two beautiful children, so now it was his turn to help her out.

"Ya know, I am quite hungry. Thank you, Jack." Cheria held Caleb to her chest and he started to suckle too. Israel stopped suckling, his eyes closed in contentment. Caleb continued to nurse, unaware of anything going around him. Once he was done, Caleb let go and sighed. Cheria gently picked him up and put him next to her body, so he could stay warm. Israel wailed, his arms flailing everywhere. "Shhh, Israel! Mama has you!"Cheria cuddled Israel, trying to calm him down before Jack came back.

He came back as fast as he could. "I wasn't sure what to get you, but this is what the lunch special was in the hotel today." he said holding out a tray of food. "I'll feed you so you just relax." (just make up your favorite food. lol I'm not really sure what kind of food women can eat after they've given birth either. ^^; )
