And without another word the two were gone. Trace supposed he'd join them in a bit since they did still need a guitarist. Well, as long as Gab was okay with the whole thing. He walked into Kimi's room and scavenged for a shirt and jeans that he kept on the top shelf in her closet just in case he ever needed a change of clothes.
Tess took a few minutes to get herself together, going over the lyrics in her head. It had been a few months since the last song she wrote, and very rarely did she ever share them with anyone. With her luck, she'd probably end up having to sing it for the whole band. Kimi was the only one she wanted to hear it, or at least the first one to. That way she'd know if it was utter crap or if it had potential.
She hummed along to the tune, exiting her room. "Where'd Gab go?" She asked Trace, who now sat on the arm of the couch.
"No clue, but he might be down practicing with Kimi." He shrugged. "I might be joining up with you guys in a bit."
"Oh, okay," she smiled, "see you later then.." She softly closed the door behind her and slowly walked to the room. Once there she stepped inside she was hit sound waves, nearly knocking her backwards. "Hey," she tried to say over the music.

Gab didn't hear a thing, he was to wrapped up in his own beat. He slammed his drum sticks into the white well worn drums and his foot thumped the bass. His eyes where closed most of the time and his coat had already come off along with the first four buttons on his shirt.
Kim watched as Tess entered the practice room and tried to talk above the sound, she stopped and got off her stool, moving over to touch Gab's shoulder getting him to stop and look up.
"Ready to hit us with you're song?"
Kim asked and grabbed the mic handing it to her, Kimi winked and sat back down her bass in her hands.
Max smiled when she heard a knock at the door she rushed over and opened it to see Parker.
"Hey there!"
She laughed and wrapped a scarf around her neck. Her ukulele case was strapped to her back and under her arm she carried her xylophone. they where both very important to her style.

Tess could feel her hands already shaking as soon as she was handed the mic. She looked from Kimi, to Gab and back again, feeling her nerves try to get the best of her. Shhhh, you'll do fine. They'll love it. She slipped out a folded piece of paper out of her pocket, unfolding it. "Um...I guess you guys can join in whenever or we could write the music for it later." Glancing over the paper once more before putting it onto the stool beside her, Tess turned so she was facing away from them. Breath."My hands are searching for you / My arms are outstretched towards you / I feel you on my fingertips / My tongue dances behind my lips for you/ This fire rising through my being / Burning I'm not used to seeing you / I'm alive, I'm alive..."

Gab joined in with a slow dead beat, he listened closely and matched Tess's pacing. She was the boss now. His eyes where glued on her and he was sure this song was golden.
Kimi tossed in a few quiet riffs but was mostly listening as well, it was a very clever little song and she liked the wording. Even if it was a little down she wouldn't judge it on that. Tess had a gift for lyrics and Kim respected that.

"I can feel you all around me / Thickening the air I'm breathing / Holding on to what I'm feeling / Savoring this heart that's healed...." As the last word dimmed into silence, Tess turned to look back at Kimi and Gab to see what they thought.
"Hey, ready?" He grinned seeing she had her ukulele and xylophone. "Really think we'll be using those today?" Teasing her about her odd taste in instruments. "Anyway," he closed the door behind Max," I called the girl who I was telling you about and she said she could stop by today."

"I always use them and good, I can't wait to meet her."
She grinned up at Parker and stepped out of her dorm, closing the door behind her. She looked back at him then made a b-line for the elevator. She was there first and got to push the button. Lucky girl.
Kimi stopped playing seconds after Tess stopped singing. She looked up at the girl her face bright.
"That's great, it's golden. Have you written it down anywhere yet?"
She took out a moleskin notebook from her back pocket and a pen from her breast pocket and began scribbling down the lyrics. In about a minute she had them all down as well as a few musical Q's.
Gab didn't say anything but he had a little smirk on his face, this song would work our for them, it would get them up there and he wanted more than anything to be up there.

Myria grabbed her bag and dumped her makeup, phone, a hairbrush and her Zen inside. She locked her door and practically ran to the practice room in the basement. As she came closer she caught the end of Tess's song, through the door, then entered into the room. "Hey everyone," she smiled, "What was that magical sound I just heard calling from this room?" She asked them jokingly, waving to them all.

Tess smiled back at Kimi and Gab, "Yeah, it's on this paper," she held it up, but she was already jotting them down. Once she heard Myria's voice Tess walked over and gave her a quick embrace. Her face still flushed from singing, "Hey!" She smiled, " I didn't know you were gonna come by." It'd been a few days since she'd last saw Myria, and was beginning to go through withdraw from the absence.
"True," Parker agreed, laughing at her slightly as she rushed to the elevator. He'd almost forgot this place had one since he'd been taking the stairs for the past few weeks, pushing a good ten pounds off him. Sure, he was already thin to begin with but his muscles did need a bit of toning.

When Mai arrived Kimi smiled at the girl but stayed where she was. Tess would greet her enough for all of them.
"Tess's new song, the one I told you about. It's going to put us on the map."
Kimi didn't actually think they would take off anytime soon but she wanted to keep her band mate's spirits up when she could.
Max arived at the practice room before
Parker and threw open the door not bothering to look or knock before she did so... There was already a band playing. She blushed and took a step back into the doorway.
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't think that anyone..."

Myria hugged Tess back, "It's brilliant!" She grinned, before turning to see the newcomers: "Uh.. Hi," she said, unsure of what to do. They had all been here first, but she always felt bad about being there when someone else wanted to use the room. She looked to the others to say something.

Parker glanced inside the room, recognizing a few of them from the previous night. Softly, he took Max's shoulder and moved her aside. "Sorry," he chuckled. "We didn't think anyone else use this room." He went to close the door...
Demetri pushed past the guy who was in the way of entrance to the practice room. "Oops," he muttered, looking back the the tall guy. "Didn't see you there." He took Tess by the wrist and pulled her over with him, away from the door. Standing beside Gab's set, Dem plugged his bass into the amp and leaned it against the wall. "We need to talk," he spoke softly, so no one else could hear him. I'm sorry about last night. I was an a**."
Tess tripped over herself but caught her balance as she was brought to the corner of the room. She yanked her wrist from Demmy's grip, and spat at him, "I'm not in the mood to talk, that sound familiar to you?" She clenched her teeth and walked towards Gab, standing beside him until the guy and girl left.

Max leaned against the wall outside of the practice room and sighed she looked up at Parker and made a face.
"Now what? where can we practice?"
She asked and glanced at the closed door three feet away.
Gab watched as Tess and Demm fought about something... he wasn't sure what but when the girl came to stand next to him he looked up at her confused.
"What's the problem?"
He asked Gab didn't know why they where upset at all he was totally clueless.
Kimi gave a wave of her hand to Parker before he left letting him know that she didn't hold it against him for walking in on them then she looked over at The fight that was brewing, there wasn't much she could do right them, these feelings needed to come out sooner or later.

"No clue. We'd get another strike if we practiced in the dorms. Maybe we could wait till they're done?" Parker patted Max on the head, smiling down at her. "Maybe there's another empty room somewhere around here?" He looked down the hall to see if there were any other rooms that didn't have a 'Do No Enter' sign.
"It's nothing, he's just..." Tess glanced at Gab. "Nevermind," she shook her head, not really wanting to talk about it. She pulled up a chair beside him and waited for Kimi to finish writing so they could continue practicing. She thought about asking Myria if she needed up setting up, but she hadn't the clue how to do it.

Gab got a text and stood up to take the phone out of his pocket. It was from one of his lady friends she was inviting him out for a day on the town, her husband was out of town. He replied that he would be there as soon as he could make it and stuck his sticks in between his waistband and belt.
"I've got some work to do, see you guys tomorrow."
He walked towards the door and straightened his shirt.
Kimi looked up, done just as Gab was about to walk out. She nodded once.
"See ya."
she had not problems with his choice of work, but wished he be a little safer about it sometimes.
Max walked with Parker from door to door until they found one that was unlocked it was like the other practice room but the walls had older sound proofing on them and there was only two amps and a mic. She chuckled it was perfect for them. The girl put down her instruments and turned on the mic, testing it. It worked better than she had expected.
"Great!" She sighed into the device.

Myria watched the fight in confused silence. What the hell's going on around here? She asked herself before setting up her keyboard carefully. "If you sing again, I'll play a baseline on this," she smiled. "We can manage without Gab for a bit." She wanted to give Tess another hug, although she didn't know what was wrong. Myria tested a few chords on the keyboard, it was working perfectly. "Let's play!" She laughed lightly.
