Aw, that's sweet of him. I want one of those skirts now!!!! I tried it on, it looks really good with my complex shirt so now I'm saving up for one before they go up in prize.

Why would they go up in price? They're store items. In fact, I broke down and bought one today. ^o^ I was trying to save up for the impending Beta, but...the forbidden skirt, it called to me sweatdrop

Wow, the "big twist" of The Village was neither big, nor twisting.
I find myself underwhelmed.

I haven't bothered watching any of M. Night Shyamalan's movies other than The Sixth Sense. From what I hear, the rest of them are all full of cheap alien plot twists and loud-noise-that-makes-you-jump attempts at being frightening instead of actual good writing.

They definitely rely too much on cheap twists, yeah. I kind of liked Unbreakable, actually. But even there, the twist was obvious. I had The sixth sense spoiled for me before I saw it, so it's hard for me to say how obvious that was, though... I still liked it, though.
But this one? No. It tried to be too many things at once and like I said, the plot twist just wasn't twisting at all. Sometimes, the camera angles and the sound made me think that something cool would happen, but no such luck.
Also, why was the bad guy from Gladiator so angsty? And why was the female lead played by Macauley Culkin in drag? domokun

To update, I picked up "The Best of Lovecraft" yesterday for $15. It had all the shorts on the list except 'At the Mountains of Madness', 'Dagon', and 'The Lurking Fear'. Thanks again, DV.

Excellent. ^_^ Enjoy. Also, I completely forgot: There's a movie-"version" of Dagon as well. Version is in quotes because it's more of a version of Shadow over Innsmouth. It's pretty bad, but there are some interesting details in it and if you can rent it (cheaply!), then you might want to do so. Just don't expect anything too good. xp

It was new on the shelves when I was working there a year and a half ago...and I never saw it go out once. xp

Deep Vermillion Wow, the "big twist" of The Village was neither big, nor twisting. I find myself underwhelmed. Besides, you knew the creature was fake all along. I mean they said they made up the rabid pocupines, but that another monster "might be there". If the monster had been real it would have looked different.

There are about 10 books with one prequel. Each averages about 830-900 pgs and it is absolutly fantastic! I would try to give a summary but there is so much... I would not know where to begin.

Wasn't too interested, myself.
