Ashierra shook her head. "Alek, you can't just walk in!" She scolded, peeking into the door. She flinched when a hand reached at Alek from the darkness, a spark of fire crawling up her back. That female had come from no where! Once she realized no trouble was impending, the fire vanished. The sarcasm she used with Alek vanished as well when she addressed the owner of the shop. She tucked her burned hand further away when the female added 'something else.' "Well, cuts, yes, at least." She held up her blade nicked hand. "And also, he has a bit of memory loss from a bump to the head."

Alek turned over an oddly shaped candle in his hands. It was rather odd really...familiar though. Who had a candle like this? A healer surely, but which one?
Really, it would be helpful if I hadn't gotten beaten up all the time back then. Though Alek with faint humor as he gave up trying to match faces and places.
"Be careful with that~" The old cattaur snatched back the candle and placed it on a shelf as she started shuffling through bottles. "Cuts, cuts...hmm." With a cackle of victory she pulled out a small vile and handed it over to Alek. "Help your friend by applying that gently. Hopefully you can do that without damaging anything."
"Unfortunately I can't help in the mental cases." She stared at Alek intently, "This one especially." For some reason Alek picked up a silent word that went along with that just for him, 'Idiot.'
Alek huffed before turning over the vile, "This it then, grandma?" Simple enough if all he had to do was rub the ointment on.

Ashierra waited near the door still, not wanting to go too far in. Something about this place was creepy. Probably all the smoke and mystery and magic in the air. Her ears flattened slightly when the female said she couldn't help Alek, then frowned when Alek didn't seem to care much. Didn't he want his memory back? She bit her lip slightly before clearing her throat. "Alek, I need to ask her something, um, personal. Would you wait outside?"

Alek turned with his ears lowered. Personal? Wait outside? What was he a little kit? "Alright." He sighed and dropped the vile that he had been playing with back into the basket.
With slow steps the cattaur moved around Ashierra and outside. "Make it quick?"
The older cattaur scowled at him, "It'll be as quick as we allow." She motioned to Ashierra, "Come on inside, child."
Alek frowned at the sudden gentleness of the herbalist towards Ashierra, 'I don't really like you either, grandma.'

Ashierra gave Alek a small appreciative smile, though couldn't help to snicker at the elder's retort. "I'll try to keep it quick." She said softly, giving in to the urge to reassure Alek's kitten face. She shut the door when he was through, walking up to the healer. "I was hoping you could help me with this too." She said softly, glancing back at the door before unwrapping her hand and showing it to the other female. "It's a burn... from some kind of magic."

"Maybe." Alek grinned at Ashierra, "I do know that the smell is oddly familiar." He knocked once more and finally just pushed the door open himself. Rows of shelves and hanging herbs decorated the place along with floating candles that flickered their lights lazily over the room.
"Is there anyone here?" He frowned as he searched the room for signs of life, "Hello?"
An old hand clutched at his shoulder, "Yes?" The male cattaur jumped in surprise making the older cattaur laugh. "Startled ya did I? Well, good." The herbalist laughed lightly as she moved into the light. Her pelt was a faint gray lined with white stripes that matched her tied back hair.
Pale green eyes gleamed though showing plenty of life. "What can I do for you?" Those eyes started on Alek and paused before moving to Ashierra. "Some cuts maybe alongside something else that be troublin' ye?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ashierra shook her head. They better be quick. Thought Alek grumpily as he leaned against a tree. Nearby the bubbling of the cauldron distracted Alek as he started wondering exactly what could be cooking
"That magic!" The older cattaur hissed, "Indeed, a dirty type that t'is!" Her hands and gaze brushed like a soft breeze as they inspected the burn. A clicking sound came from her mouth as she shook her head slowly.
"T'is nasty." She frowned, "I can give ya an ointment and some advice about it, child, but-" A small pause of defeat, "I'm not true healer, just an herbalist. Sadly enough my magic went to the ways of plants and visions. Though I could soothe the pain a tad." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dirty magic? Ashierra looked warily at her hand. She had known it was different but... What did she mean by dirty? Her wonderings were shaken when the female admitted to not being able to heal it. The defeat was not only in the elder's voice, but also the young firecat's eyes. "What do you mean dirty? How- how long will the ointment take to heal it?" She asked, desperation tainting her voice. How long could she hide it from Alek? He had seemed upset about a few scratches... what would he do about this? Especially when he heard the source of it.
