"Like you care." she muttered.

Thrakshen saw thrall get hit, and his companians fall, even as his comrades cut down the men going for reinforcements. "you there! Stranger! You fight to free these orcs right?" Even as he said it he let his axe cut down the last of the runners. "Even without thoose runners, the fort will come soon, we better make this quick."

The Assassin, as he'd come to be called, had gotten bored and killed the king himself. He was caught in the act, but nobody could match the speed he brought to the table. He'd spent a few days tracking down the last of his marks, and now had an arrow trained on her spine. But, as he let fly, one of the lessers in the guild bumped into him, the arrow flew slightly wide, barely sctratching her arm. He ducked down and slipped away, as the other assassin, who went by the name of Marik, stood, stupified. He smiled, the wound was sure to get infected, and if it was treated well then she would come down with a disease that was rarely incountered in these parts, without treatment it could be deadly, but more likely it would just put a strong/young person in bed for weeks. He slipped away, dissapointed that he didn't get in a kill shot, but happy that it would be easier the next time. The theif was testing his skills too, although it seemed as if the princess resisting made it easier to find him, He still was a hard find. He found himself wishing that the theif was the one he'd been hired to kill, but then dismissed it. "only kill your mark." He said quietly to himself.

Katsuko lost her stroke when the arrow hit her. she gripped her arm and tumbled along the current, the river carried her downstream. she clenched her teeth against the pain. *This never stops does it?* she wondered painfully. water entered her mouth as she struggled to get her feet under her, but she was too far in, and the current was strong.

Katsuko collapsed on the river bank. her arm was bleeding and it burned. burned like fire. her teeth gritted against each other. she screamed out in pain. "Get it off! get it out!" she cried.

Katsuko felt drained from Garrett sucking out her blood even though it wasn't a significant amount. her arm still burned and her face felt hot. her hair plastered to her head from the river-water and the perspiration that also drenched her. Katsuko shuddered, she felt cold and hot at the same time. *Whats happening to me?* she wondered dully.

"Fire- and .... ice." Katsuko kept on shaking. "am i going to die?" she asked shakily.

Katsuko bit her lip. "It burns...." her whole arm and head were sweating profusely but most of the rest of her body had goosebumps and were freezing cold. she shivered and then fainted from the pain.
