Gaunt nods and he smiles softly. He also notices the clock and coudln't help but to feel a little amazed - even if he already knew what was going on. It was hard to believe, but now he saw it in action. He shakes his head slowly and smiles softly at Serenity, following her out of the room with Prince in tow. He went ahead and let Ian run free - the Surprise was familiar with this place, so as far as he knew, it was okay for him to run around this place.

Serenity led the group through a series of hallways and rooms, at long last reaching the door to outside. Then it was a series of walkways and paths away from the mansion and towards the southeastern part of the compound, past houses and other buildings, until at last they reached the house that belonged to Serenity's parents.
She was nervous about introducing Gaunt, but at the same time she was also eager. She wanted her parents to know what was going on in her life.
She turned to Gaunt and the others. "Ready?" she asked them softly.

Gaunt and Prince's eyes were all over the place. This was a new place, of course. They wanted to see what this place had to offer. How was it decorated? What was it decorated with? Was the room comfortable and inviting relaxation, or encouraging action? Even when they were outside, they were looking around to get a feel of the land. He blinks when they stop, and he looks up at the house that they're waiting in front of. "Sure, I'm ready." He gives her a reassuring smile.

Serenity smiled in the growing darkness and knocked on the door briefly before opening it and stepping inside.
"Mama? Papa?" she called out softly, knowing that they would hear her.
The walls of the house were all hand painted (by Serenity and her aunt Trisha) and each room had a different theme of flowers.
"In the twins' room," a soft female voice called back from down a hall.
Serenity smiled and squeezed Gaunt's hand tightly. "This way," she murmured, leading him down the hall.

He nodded when he heard the voice and was lead in by Serenity. He still looked around and admired the house, appreciating the themes in each room, at least the rooms that he could see. It took a lot of work and planning to get the house to look this way - for sure.

Elnara was not alone, in the room with her lounging in a different chair was a man far taller than Elnara. Though he was rather average for an elf, he seemed to contrast her in every way, he was pale compared to her dusky skin, hair that could be considered white and had long ears. Not just pointed ears, they were somewhat long, but then again elves of Gaia were just as varied.
He was holding a little baby boy, who was wiggling wanting to be let down. The little boy, sort of looked like him, except he was dark haired and dusky skinned.
Lore... Aldrich Winters (though sometimes it took some time to remember that was his set of family names now), was home early from work. As he had begun to promise, working a bit from home as well so he could spend more time with the family.

Elnara was sitting in a rocking chair near the window, rocking slowly back and forth with a little baby girl in her arms - a little girl who seemed to be on the verge of falling asleep. She looked very much like her mother - the same short pointed ears, the same eyes ... save that her hair was white and her skin pale, very much like her father's.
Serenity led Gaunt and Prince into the room, stopping just inside the doorway and standing there, holding Gaunt's hand and facing her parents.
"Hello, Mama, Papa," she said softly, blushing warmly, her heart racing and her stomach starting to twist into a knot. "I ... have someone I'd like you to meet."
She wondered briefly why her stomach was starting to twist and turn now - she would have expected that to happen a while ago.
Curiosity and surprise were both evident in Elnara's eyes, but she simply smiled softly, careful not to move and startle the little girl in her arms.
Serenity, encouraged by the smile, took a deep breath and murmured softly, "This is Gaunt ... my fiance."
She turned back to Gaunt and squeezed his hand tightly. "Gaunt, my parents, Lore and Elnara Aldrich Winters."

Gaunt's eyes moved over to the two elves who were seated in this room. He noted the differences in the two elves. The difference in skin color, the difference in ear length. They seemed to be clearly of different elvish races to him. And those babies.. he would be lying if he said his heart didn't sink. Seeing the couple like this made him want to be with Serenity even more, made him wish they were compatible enough to have children.
His train of thought was broken when he found himself being introduced. He bows deeply to the two adult elves, remaining in the position for a few seconds before he lifted himself. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lore.." He smiles at the male. "And Elnara." He then smiled at the female. "You've raised a very sweet daughter. I look forward to being able to earn your good graces." He smiles and glances toward Serenity, a loving expression on his face.

For the first time since Celebor, Lore didn't know whether or not to be surprised. On one sense, he should be very much surprised. After all it was Serenity, she was the shyest of all the children, as such he wouldn't have expected her to suddenly introduce a fiance. On the other hand... he of all people should be use to how quickly Seconds once they found that person just for them pair up and marry.
At least this time they had some warning.
Though... he had to smile at the look on Gaunt's face. Whether or not it was unexpected, at least it was someone who loved her. That was all that really mattered.
"And it is good to meet you," Lore replied softly watching the young couple, "As unexpected as it is..." he chuckled at that.

Elnara's eyes sparkled softly as she watched Gaunt and Serenity. Unlike Lore, she had already begun to get used to how quickly her children were growing up and finding families of their own - and after two children had quite literally vanished and suddenly reappeared with families, she was just glad that for once she was getting the chance to meet the significant other before Serenity left them entirely.
She smiled at Lore's comment, and added, "Unexpected but not unwelcome."
It was clear indeed how much Gaunt loved their daughter, and she had no trouble with letting her go to such a man.
"But it seems you haven't introduced all of your visitors," she smiled at Serenity, peering past her at the boy that was behind them all.
Serenity blushed and ushered Prince ahead of her and Gaunt while Ian glared at her from her arms, and she felt her stomach twisting again.
"This is Prince," she introduced him, letting go of Gaunt's hand and putting her hand instead on Prince's shoulder. "He's Gaunt's so-" Suddenly she choked on her breath, but she simply coughed a bit and finished sheepishly, "Gaunt's son."

Gaunt blushed as well. He softly placed a hand on Prince's shoulder as well, feeling bad for being so caught up in meeting the rest of Serenity's family that he forgot to introduce Prince. Prince's glare was equally hard, if not a little more, though it was directed at Gaunt. He then did his best to conceal the hard look and put on a pleasant one, bowing before the two quickly. "Pleased to meetcha!"
Gaunt spoke softly still. "Yes, he's my son. I've only had him for a few weeks and he's already gotten this big." He smiles and he shakes his head slowly. He then looks up and he takes a breath. "I hope it won't be a burden to you. But, if I can get him enrolled in the school, I was hoping you woudln't mind letting Prince stay with Serenity and Ian. It would be much easier for him here than trying to attend it from where I am."

It was as if the wheels in Lore's head was turning, he had come up with two conclusions he hadn't realized before. First was that Gaunt had adopted Prince (actually that one should have been a given, but he hadn't thought about it) and two, Gaunt was most likely not a Second.
The comment about how Prince grew sort of gave it away.
School... school....
"You're a student then?" Lore inquired.
It would make sense, Gaunt's 'age' would suggest if Lore was right about Gaunt being a 'natural' child meant he was attending a college or university of some sort. They tended to have stricter rules and it was also hard to explain to them why someone like Gaunt already had a child.
Not to mention the bills.
He heard enough complaints about bills from students in the library.

Elnara laughed softly at Prince's greeting. She couldn't help it - he was just so cute! He reminded her of Celebor, when he had been so young ... that had been a long time ago, and she missed those days now that he was grown.
Serenity was glad to let the conversation run now between Gaunt and her parents. Her head was starting to hurt, and her spine to tingle ... and she had a feeling she knew why. She gently set Ian down on the floor next to Prince, then stayed kneeling, eyes closed to help with the dizziness she knew would be coming. What timing ...

Gaunt smiles softly and he tilts his head, curious. "And who are the two you have with you? Newborns?" He was curious. He then looks at Lore and he smiles softly. "Mmhmm. I'm a student. I'm a senior, actually. Though I'm graduating a little late. I'm 27, and most seniors are between 22 and 24. And I want to make sure that I'm able to care for Serenity, and Prince, and Ian, and anyone else we choose to adopt.. since.."
The sentence didn't really need to be finished. He blinks when he looks over his shoulder to smile at Serenity, and finds her down on a knee. He blinks and kneels down next to her, placing a concerned hand on her back and slowly rubbing it. "Honey, are you alright? Do you need me to get anything?"

Sometimes, Lore thought that growths had uncannyily good timing. This would be one of those times. He rose from his seat, carefully putting Garrick down, because with his movements he would probably fall out of Lore's arms. Before making his way to Serenity, he justh oped Garrick wouldn't play too hard if he decided he wanted to have fun with Ian, he was bigger than Ian after all.
He placed a hand her shoulder, "Do you need your ache cream?"
Knowing how for some reason Serenity seemed to get the worse in growths.
