*Ran nodded at Mariata and miled slightly* Thanks for the help. *He wiped his hands dry with a small towel and turned to face Arianna* N-No thanks, I think we're done now. *He started walking towards the front door but stopped and turned to look at Arianna* I'm going out for a minute, would you mind coming along?

*Ran bowed to his mother and waved at Mariata as they proceeded out the door and into the cool night*

Dear, don't be out too late. *Kyoko called out after them with a smile, then shook her head as the door closed. She looked up to Mariata and walked over to the nearby fireplace, preparing to start a fire* Come now Mariata, let's enjoy a quiet chat while we have the chance. *She smiled happily to be able to finally talk privately with her friend. Her son was a good boy, but sometimes the girls just needed some time to themselves*

*Meanwhile, Ran walked with Arianna in the cool night. The streets were light with small lamps and also from the lights emitting from the windows* Arianna, I'm sorry if I upset you before. I'm just wondering...why are you being so nice to everyone? I mean... *He paused his speech and kept walking* ...in my case it feels like I have to make up for what I did before. Yet for you...you'd have every reason to hate land humans, but you don't. Why is that? *He looked at her and continued down the street, all the way to the edge of town*

*Ran stopped at the base of the hill and looked to Arianna. She seemed so quiet and fragile, but she had such childhood troubles and was now so optimistic. It set Ran off a bit, but he smiled and nodded his head in agreement* I guess you're right. People should try to find a way to make peace instead of war all the time. Maybe I can learn to do the same. *With that, Ran turned and started up the hill. He pulled out a small light he had in his pocket and began to search the ground for something*

Arianna gave a small smile at Ran. Perhaps he would learn she thought to heself as she too climbed up the hill. She titled her head to the side, wondering what Ran was looking for. A light breeze blew making Arianna shiver only a little. She would let her wings out to warm her but didn't want any of the other land humans in the town to attack her.

*Ran kept looking towards the ground, then looked up to see if Arianna was still with him. He frowned at the sight of her shivering and set the light on the ground. He slid off the jacket he had grabbed before they left the house and drapped it over her shoulders, immediately feeling the cool breeze blow against his skin* There ya go, that should keep you warmer. *He smiled and pick his light back up as he continued to scan the ground. After nearly fifteen minutes of searching, the light reflected off of something in a small puddle of water. Walking over, he reached into the muddy water and pulled out a small necklace* So this was it, huh?

::looks around and sighs. Not one house had a flag on it. Come to think of it. . . looks at the humans closer. These were land humans! She takes off, heading higher into the mountains, in a more east direction this time::

Arianna smiled at Ran for lending her his jacket. yet she felt a little bit guilty for him giving him her, his jacket. She indeed did feel warmer but felt bad that Ran would soon get cold. Arianna helped Ran searched for whatever it was he was looking for while thinking over something. After a while Ran found what he was looking for. Arianna slowly walked over to him and looked at the object he found. Another breeze blew and Arianna thought Ran was cold, she slid off his jacket allowing her wings to come out. She knew she was taking a chance showing her wings but she didn't want Ran to get cold. She stood next to Ran letting her warm wings with soft violet feathers warm them both from the wind.
