{@ Y.Soren, we've broken down the door. Time to explore... @Tibarn, Is that so? What was MSF doing then? He said FEFGA couldn't help us.}
"They're... a bunch of letters." Sue curioiusly looked inside of the door she broken down. "I wonder what else could be in here?

[Well, there ARE other doors in Castle Town... other peoples' houses. Maybe it was one of Jin's priests who was attacked. Maybe just some person trying to live his life.]
Tibarn growled low. Did no one have any sense? The more people that go out, the more people who are in danger! They had to be organized!
That said, he was rather the exception to his own rule as he rushed out the door, shoving Fiora back inside as he ran past her, and jumped. His massive wings spread and lifted him over the snow and he shot toward Amelia. He was not about to let her get herself killed because he couldn't watch everyone at once. "Amelia! Get the hell back here!" he yelled, sweeping up beside her and hovering above the snow. His sharp eyes locked onto the mysterious stranger, like they were boring holes through the darkness cast by his hood. "And you either reveal yourself or go find some hole to die in."

". . . Morph." That word. . . he was perhaps the only one left to be described by it, wasn't he? He had outlived the others by quite a long while. . . it had been nearly twenty years since he had been created by Nergal. One hand rose to push back the hood, revealing a face that no longer had so many scars as it once had. Something had changed about Kishuna, now, though it wasn't immediately evident what it was. "I am. . . not an enemy." He looked down at the girl, and tilted his head to the side just a bit. ". . . believe me?"
He looked up at Tibarn and shook his head. ". . . Your assistance is. . . not needed," he told the laguz quietly. "I. . . will ensure her safety for now."
((. . . I'm outside, Miss Victoria.))

[Sorry, I hope it's clear now. The monsters cannot enter Fefga's house. Just because MSF can doesn't mean they can.]

Amelia was still waiting for the cloaked man to speak when she heard the flapping of wings, and then Tibarn was right next to her. She leaped up in surprise, gripping her lance tighter to keep from dropping it. "I-I'm fine! Really! We need people out here to defend on the front lines, too!" she protested loudly to Tibarn. "I'm going to be fine! I mean, I'm not injured, and it's not even that cold..." she started, but trailed off. Of course it was that cold. Already the tips of her fingers were feeling numb.
The best way to die from the cold, people? Venturing out unprepared. Amelia wiggled her fingers absently, first with her left hand and then her right. In her hurry, she hadn't grabbed gloves. Whoops...
As the man spoke again, Amelia's bright green eyes snapped up to him. His cloak's hood was pushed back with a single hand, and she looked at the face in curiosity. "...I believe you," she told him. "But what business... do you have with Father Renault?"

"Soren... I'm reading these." Sue took the scattered pieces of parchment and arranged them together. They weren't numbered, so it took some time before she could get them in the right order. Not to mention they were written in very old english. "Ah... this has to be the language from the time of the Eight Legends. Surely Brammimond would understand... I hope he's not in serious trouble... I hope no one is right now." {@Kishuana: Eeek, sorry! I'll edit in a minute!}

The mage glanced over his shoulder as he sensed a wave of frustration. He noticed Master Sage was merely attending to his own tasks, so the younger Soren fixed his attention upon the contents of the drawer. A small pile of papers had attempted in vain to hide at the back, veiled in shadow and cobwebs.
He reached forward to grab the papers, believing that they were similar to the parchment Sue had discovered. But as soon as his finger brushed the cobweb a zap struck through his hand. The mage yelped, leaping back and banging his hand against the edge of the drawer momentarily. He rubbed his hand and glared at the desk with utter disdain. The touch of fire faded from his fingers, though they still felt burnt.
His eyes explored the room again, and this time he spotted a curious object nestled on the corner of the desk. The younger Soren reached toward a fairly small box that nearly blended into the darkness. He closed his hand around it.

[ neutral Dunno where you're going with the door thing, and I totally missed when you opened it, but I'm changing this around a little, hopefully not too much. o: ]
As the door was removed, and passed the open room wthin, there existed a secret passageway, almost unseen. In all truth, there had been one who had been down there not too long ago, but he sealed the door, as if nobody had been there. The passage leading deep down into the castle was sealed away, by magic. A familiar magic, in fact, for it was the same thing that sealed off the castle from those that Fefga did not wish to be near the dwelling. If people were to listen, they would hear faint singing of a tender sweet little voice coming from deep into the passage.

While curiously searching through the pages, Sue noticed one of the pieces was quite different than the rest. "This is... tome language?" she blinked. She called to the Older of the sages. "O.Soren! Can you read this for me? I'm trying to make heads or tails of this Olde Englishe."

He didn't mean to be so rude, but in his frustration, the boy snatched the papers from her without so much as a thank you. Setting himself to a new task, the boy scanned the scrawl. It was indeed in a language he didn't know, but it certainly looked the part of a spell. Making his way back to the key, pacing really, the sage began to mutter the words aloud. 」
「 With a sharp `Crack!`, the key flew from the bottom of the cubbord, landing beside the sage's feet with the clanking of unreasonably heavy metal. The boy stared at the tiny thing in awe. "The spell...freed that pesky key..." 」 ¡`It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Soon the bells will start. `And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing. ¡`Right within your heart.`¡

The morph smiled quietly. "He is. . . an old friend." his hand moved to the girl's shoulder, and he began to walk. ". . . Inside. You should not. . . be in this cold." He himself was beginning to feel it, though he was not actually human. So this small human girl should not stay out here; on that matter, Tibarn was right.

"Hey, there's something over h — does anyone else hear that?"
The mage quickly moved away from the box, his ears focused on a peculiar voice in the background.

{What do you guys want the key to unlock? A weapon, maybe?}
"Ah, where does it go now?" Sue wondered. She was still having quite a bit of trouble with the parchment, but... it mentioned a few things she made since of.
A great leader. His heroism, but.. then... his sudden and merciless end... and erasure from all but tiny footnotes of history. "Could this... be...?
Sue's thoughts were interrupted by the same thing that Y.Soren heard... a singing voice? Where was it coming from? She remembered that there were legends in FEF castle town of a spirit that watched over the fortress. "Guys... I don't think they want us going any further."
