"you- you don't seem fine." she said. she looked away hurriedly. "ah- I'm sorry, I'm prying. you probably don't want me here." she bit her lip and stared at the floor, waiting for him to confirm her worries.

"uh, well, you don't need to be alone anymore." she said. "you can make friends and have a good time with them and all that stuff. like- i don't know where i'd be if i hadn't made friends at The Glade- actually i probably don't want to know. I'd probably end up like my brother or worse. probably worse now that i think about it. but yeah, friends are really great, and you know thay got your back and all that good stuff and i should stop talking now because i'm talking a lot and thats not a good sign. i don't know why i'm talking so much and so fast because i usually only do that when i'm nervous but i don't think i'm nervous so i'm kinda confused right now and yeah.... shutting up." she pursed her lips and looked around the room sheepishly.

"Umm... i don't know. I didn't think i was nervous but i guess i am. yeah i'm definitely nervous for some reason even though there isn't any reason to be nervous. well i suppose since my brother kinda wants me dead that might be a reason to be nervous but he isn't here and i think i'm pretty safe her at least for the moment so i have no idea...." she said rapidly.

Amaranta took a quick breath in but was too surprised by Dante that she stopped breathing altogether after that. she stared at him surprised as her face slowly turned blue.

Amaranta tore her eyes away and forced herself to breathe. she gasped for air and a natural color soon returned to her face.
