Gray nodded.
Their landing gear touched the runway twelve minutes later. They emerged into the frigid air, by now wearing huge parkas, gloves, and goggles. Well, Gray had the goggles.
"It's 10 below," he said irritably. "I hate the cold."
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out their mission on a piece of paper. "Report says that some of this substance may have been frozen in the glacier a little north of here. It's under watch of the Canadian government, so we're going to sneak in and take it. Questions?"


The gunshots caused St. Cyrill to flip out for another second, thrashing around and throwing a handful of pebbles towards Richard. Luckily for Richard, they hit the ground before they reached him, digging small ruts in the ground like meteors.
St. Cyrill took a deep breath. "What the hell," he said in a dead voice. "You, McMullard, are going back to England. Period."

Connor shook his head. "No idea. This is hardly the ideal situation in which to study this phenomenon. Tiki, what do you - "
At that point, a bullet ricocheted off of the building across the street and slammed through their window, hitting the old man in the chest just above his right n****e. He cried out and went ********!" Tiki cried, his shirt fading to red. "What the hell!"
He and Connor jumped to help the man, but Tiki's professional eye knew it was fatal. They had about two minutes to get him major medical attention, and that meant fighting their way through the terrorists and making it all the way into the city. It wouldn't work.
Tiki, a sensitive man by all means, did his best to make the man comfortable as Connor grabbed a large pistol from the bed where Tiki had left it and made his way to the door. Connor kept watch as Tiki tried to make the man's passing easier. He murmured something.
Tiki leaned down to listen. "What?" he asked softly. "What is it?"
As he leaned even closer, until his ear was mere inches away from the man's mouth, a strange golden glow in the man's mouth became apparent - to everyone but Tiki. Connor opened his mouth to say something, but at that moment the light grew in intensity to almost blinding levels. Tiki pulled back, his mouth hanging open, as the light shot forward and hit him square in the face.
Kneeling as he was, he was still lifted into the air and turned a complete backflip before hitting the bedside table. His eyes fluttered and he passed out.
"Divine power," the old man croaked as Kurtis shouted, "Tiki!" The old man died.

"What the ******** are you talking about?" Cyrill groaned as he sat up, then forced himself to his feet. "How could I have blown up a tree?"

St. Cyrill groaned. "Oh my God. You've lost it." He walked towards Richard and slapped him, crying out in pain as it jarred his wounds. "Snap out of it!" he shouted.

((Oh, I thought Connor got shot. O_o Which didn’t make sense, since Old Man A was clearly the throwaway character. Anyway.))

Kurtis sprinted over to Tiki and took his pulse.

Anatoly checked Tiki's breathing next.

Kurtis tilted Tiki's head and pressed his tongue down to check for throat blockages that could slide into his airway. He felt silly, considering Tiki's face had just been blasted with light, but it seemed the proper thing to do.

Xander's eyes widened at the display of light, Maybe there's something to this "Divine Power" after all. he thought, though he was still skeptical.
