Shiki noticed that there was some confusion so he pulled out a scrap of paper from his pocket and a small pen and started drawing what he was talking about, "You pull the trigger here and it fires a bullet," He pointed. He wanted to make sure she was able to understand before he continued.

"So anyways," Shiki said, getting on with his story, "When I went to sleep, Len decided to be mischievous and give me a 'curse'," He chuckled.

"Yeah. It's basically a bad spell that causes misfortune to the victim," Shiki explained, "So Len gave me a special curse while I was asleep. The next morning I woke up...And I was a cat!" He said, "On probably the only day I woke up early, I woke up a black cat!" He smiled a little more from the irony; Len being a black cat and all.

"Really! It was so weird! And then Hisui came in-that's my maid-And noticed me. She's so insensitive for checking to see if I was a male or female, but it's a good thing it was all a dream. But I spent the whole day like that," Shiki said with a laugh.

Shiki laughed and nodded, "Yeah. Things got even weirder that day when Akiha found me. I caught her writing some kind of love letter or something and she went after me yelling 'thief cat' the whole time. Then afterwards Kohaku found me. She's Hisui's twin sister and also a maid. She found me and gave me a bath together with her. I mean honestly! Who gives a cat a bath?" He joked, "But things got better when I went napping in a sunny spot next to the detached building," He winked.

"Yes I suppose she does have a huge imagination, even if that was a hard time for her. She didn't have a master back then, and while she was keeping my mind away from death by putting it in a coma, she was slowly killing herself and she didn't tell me," Shiki said, "Familiars like Len needs mana from their master, or else they will die. She was master-less when that was going on."

"Who said it was painful? I got into that accident because of Len in the first place. And she was returning the favor from when I saved her life. Then we talked and decided that it would be great if she was my familiar, and things went on like that," Shiki said with a nostalgic look.
All he really remembered of the accident was a small black cat and screeching tires...Arcueid screaming something, but by then they were way too late and he was already in the middle of traffic with Len in his arms. He was told after, that he was hit by a truck and his head hit the guardrail pretty hard. Shiki unconsciously rubbed the back of his head.
