Suddenly reality hit Mason and she was pulled out of her trance. She couldn't be taken out of dance. It would ruin her career, her life! She shook her head faced forward. She didn't know what to do. She stoood up and started pacing a couple steps, oblivious to Arnold for a split second, then turned to him. "Help me," she whispered simply.

Derrik made it all the way back to his car, still debating with himself. He really did think too much. Well, he was here; he might as well take in his belongings. Derrik emptied the car, glad for the bit of mindless activity. He did not want to keep thinking about Nathan yet doing nothing. But eventually, rather soon actually, he was out of boxes and still had no where to put them. He started looking around the house for anyone that wasn't going to bolt from him and might just tell him where he was bunking.

Annora's jaw dropped. She knew that Nate was gay. But Derrik? She didn't know that. "Nate! Thats good! Thats really good! Whats the problem?" She asked him. "Do you want me to come home? John and I are just sitting in traffic.." She said ready to tell John to turn the car around.

Arnold looked up at her and stood up. "Help you...? Well, ummmm." He thought about it for a second and asked her a question. "How much do you eat everyday? There lies, well, I think most of your problem." He looked at her sadly. How could she do this to herself...? He remembered highschool, where she had always been the happy-go-lucky person in their group. At least until her parents got a divorce. He had left right after that. Arne accidentaly asked his question out loud. "What happened to her?" Suddenly he covered his mouth, he had not meant to say something as rude as that.

Nathan sighed. "No, I don't want you to come home." Nathan stopped crying and started looking around the room for nothing in paticular. He was a total reck. "Its just...I don't know. I freaked. I thought about mom and all the kids that ritaculed me senior year after I moved. They beat the s**t out of me, Anna! I got bashed once before, too." Nathan said. He pushed the hair that was in his face to the side. "The doctors told me that if I got hit in any other direction, or angle, I would have been either a vegetable or died." Nathan sighed. "Don't come home, Annie. I don't want to ruin your day. And that would just draw unwanted attention to me. Just go and have fun with John." Nathan started to lighten up a bit, but only a bit. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine." Nathan said.

"How much do I eat? As much as I can without throwing up." She shrugged, but then remembered the events earlier in the day. "Most of the time." Mason listened to Arnold's words and her heart sunk. "What... what happened to me?" She asked in an accusatory voice. Mason looked at him, realizing that what he said was not meant to be heard. "Is this what everyone is thinking of me? What happened to me?" She rubbed her temple vigorously.
"My parents had the greatest relationship two famous people could ever have, and all of a sudden they decide to end it, right as I'm out the door of their house? They stayed together because of me! I made my parents' lives miserable. I MADE them live with each other. They probably wanted to split up AGES ago, but they had to stay together for poor, innocent little Casey!" Mason spat at the use of her first name, and began pacing again, breathing heavily.

Annora looked at John. "I'm coming home Nate. You are my brother. Besides. We aren't getting to the mall anytime soon. I'll be home soon. I love you." She shut her phone and told John to turn the car around. After John nodded, he turned around and drove home.
Within a few minutes, John and Annora were home. Walking in together, John went into their room and laid on the bed falling asleep quickly. Annora however walked right into Nate's room and caught him in a huge hug holding him there against her. "Nate... I know what mom did to you ... and I know what those kids did to you... But Derrik wouldn't do that to you... you know that..." She pulled back and looked at him. "How can you tell me not to worry about my brother?" She laughed a little. "I'm pregnant remember. I worry about a wrinkle in a shirt." She smiled and kissed his cheek. "I can talk to Derrik..." She bit her lip. "If you want me too..." She sighed and looked down. "Sorry.... Being over protective..." She moved away from him.

Arnold stared in horror at Mason as she talked about puking. "Mason! You do need a doctor..." He almost glared at her, but decided agains it. He walked over and stopped her from pacing. "Mason, I didn't mean it... It's just that you used to be so happy, and..." He didn't want to say perfect, that would make it seem like she had degraded. So he changed the subject. "And you know that I was there for you when you parents started fighting. Just like I'll be here for you now." He sighed and watched her, waiting for a reaaction.

Nathan hugged Annora back. "No its fine. I know he wouldn't do that to me, but what if other people do? And what if they kill me for it. Or worse they kill Derrik. I couldn't handle that, Annie! You know that!" Nathan began to sob again, this time into Annora's shoulder. He couldn't comprehend the fact that people wouldn't do that, since the majority of the football team rejected him even though he was star running back. He was even beaten by half of the football players that were the closest people to him there. They weren't friends, but they were aquantences. And they were good, nice ones at that. Nathan just sobbed, though.

Hot tears began to build up in Mason's eyes. "Alcohol would affect someone's appitite, wouldn't it?" she asked half-heartedly. "Please don't be mad at me. I almost didn't know what else to do. I'm not exactly good at opening up, that is, except when I'm buzzed."

Derrik continued his lost wandering through the ridiculously huge house. Finally, he thought he heard voices and moved toward them. Then his steps slowed as he recognized the voices of both Ana... and Nathan. His heart thumped hard in his chest as though it wanted out. Derrik could not make out the words the two were saying and he was only half sure he wanted to know. He raised his hand to knock but paused hesitantly. What could he even say to Nathan with Ana there? Well, that entirely depended on if he'd told her, didn't it? Derrik forced himself to knock before he could wander off and get lost again.

Annora wrapped her arms around Nathan and rocked him back and forth. "Shh Nathan.... No one is going to hurt you.... You need to take a chance Nate! Come on." She smiled and lifted his head up. "How cool would that be for the baby to have two uncles? AND I would get another brother AND." She smiled and touched his heart. "You would have someone to love." She smiled and kissed his forehead. "Come on. Those people who hurt you, they don't matter anymore. All that matters is you and Derrik." She giggled. "And me of course. Kidding." She nudged him gently. "Come on... Lets go see Derrik.. I won't leave you. I'll go with you." She kissed his forehead. "We can do what ever you want to do."

Annora looked up at the knock and hold up a finger to Nate. "I'll get that for you." She stood up and walked to the door. Opening it a little she saw Derrik. "Derrik!" She said loud enough for Nate to hear who it was. "Um... Hold on." She turned to Nate wondering if he wanted her to let him in.

Nathan stopped crying and laughed at Annora's joke. "Thanks, Annie." Nathan said. He heard a knock at his door and looked at Annora as she got up and opened the door. When she turned around for his approval, Nathan smiled and nodded.

He looked at her, stunned. "Ma- Mason..." He stammered. It was alcohol... "Mason, I don't know what else to do..." He got up and walked into the house, not looking to see if she was following. Slowly walking up to his room, he walked inside, looking through his many belongings. Finally finding the small phone, he looked down the list of numbers that the doctor had given him. Slecting one, he began to dial it into the phone. Not noticing that the computer screen was still running, open to anyone who chanced to read the e-mail. "I'm sorry, but you do need a doctor." He said, just in case she had followed him.

Annora smiled and opened the door and let Derrik in. She stood there awkwardly. "Um... Should I go?" She asked softly.Annora stood by the door ready to leave. But she wouldn't go far... She wanted to be there for Nate. She always would be.
