OOC: Eh, it happens; I'm not usually on too late on Wednesdays, anyway. Actually, I'm not on late most days.

BIC: No? It would hardly be an altercation; only about three seconds. Still, as you choose.

*Mildly disappointed, 'Bait takes back his sword, then notices her interest.* Um ... did I mention I'd travelled a lot? Actually, my teacher made this. I just helped out a bit.

*Carefully, he pops the seal, holding it for her inspection with only about two inches of the actual edge visible.* Folded steel, over a hundred times, and tempered with the Damascus process. Every step of the construction engulfed in prayer and devotion. Blessed and sanctified, it is a holy item ... and though I do not use it lightly, neither do I leave it behind casually.

*He tilts the edge towards himself, giving her a slightly better view, before closing it again and restoring it to his hip.* Anyway, I was asking you to choke me ... because I was curious if you were interested in any formal training. But ... you're not, and that's okay.

OOC: hmm....so you saying right now is an exception? well yay for exceptions if it is (=^.^=)

BIC: Sere looks from him to the sword as he talks. When he pops the seal she leans over the table to inspect her tail flicking back an forth in excitement, ears honed forward, eyes wide trying to take it in. "the craftsmanship is very nice. You have a beautiful blade 'Bait."

She was slightly dismayed that he sheathed it so quickly, she could have stared at it for hours. As he spoke after the blade was gone she sat back down and gave him her attention. At hearing she wasn't interested her fur puffed in resentment. "I have had formal training before. Just because I didn't want to choke you randomly here does not mean a thing. Besides what useful training would I get from choking a stranger at request? It sounds rediculous!"

OOC: hmm....so you saying right now is an exception? well yay for exceptions if it is (=^.^=)
OOC: That is, and this is.

BIC: *'Bait puts up his hands defensively.* Whoa, whoa ... easy, there, Mozilla. I meant no offense. The way you spoke about sparring ... well, you say you've had none, but it's borderline impossible to get any formal training without sparring at some point. But if your teacher found a way ... great, more power to the both of you.

*For the first time, his accent -- odd and untraceable, but not unpleasant -- is obvious.* It's no disrespect to you; in fact, I'd be curious to see how it works. But I shouldn't pressure you, and I apologize for that.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 09, 2010 8:15 pm

OOC: neaw?

BIC: Sere tilts her head to the side again in confusion. "What's a Mozilla? And you do have a point. Let me explain a little..."

She sighs trying to choose her words carefully, "I have sparred before with a....teacher...and he taught me everything I know now. To be more precise, I have not sparred with a complete stranger in such a way to learn or grow more powerful. Instead I have fought til the death, and obviously I have not lost."

Her ears perked at the accent which caught her attention. She raised an eyebrow and some fang showed through a long fox grin; then she spoke. "It seems I make your more curious by the moment, do i? I assure you, you can't pressure me in to anything so no apology is needed."

OOC: Yeah, Mozilla Firefox. Take a look. Isn't she cute?

And I have been waiting to whip these out. twisted

BIC: *For whatever reason, 'Bait is ... slightly less amused than Sere.* Sparring ... is not a death-duel. And obviously, I have pressured you ... at the very least, I've put you on the defensive. That's what I meant.

*He brings his accent back under control; Sere can still hear it, in traces, but it's almost unnoticeable.* Looks like I'm doing nothing more than an excellent job of getting you ticked, doesn't it? I'm thinkin' I should shut up and straighten up these chairs, leave you to the tattered remains of your dinner.

ooc: *tilts head* awe thats creative, how cute (=^.^=) *tilts head in other direction with a questionmark face* what have u been waiting to 'whip out'?

BIC: Her smile faded at his response "well i would agree. And when I have truly sparred it was not a death duel. However since my teacher is no longer I have never truly sparred with anyone. On occassion I have coerced people into what they thought was sparring and I have gladly killed them." She shruged as she cooly explained "Someone is more willing to fight if they think it will be harmless..." She snickers to herself, "Idiots. But they had what was coming to them so it really wasn't so bad."

She sat back and continued looking at him as she spoke, noticing his nice accent was gone "Again I assure you there is no pressure and I'm definatly not on the defensive." She pauses and looks mildly confused, "You also have not ticked me off and I am done with my dinner."

She stands "I will help you straighten up the chairs though. I'm suprised Ontaros has not come out to find it." She uprighted a chair as she continued. "What makes you think you have upset or pressured me?"

OOC: No Blazing Saddles jokes; I was referrin' to the pictures. As soon as I saw your char was going to be kitsune, I decided upon her new nickname of Mozilla.

BIC: *'Bait moves to lift a table back into position. The table's not light, and it's obvious that he's not exceptionally strong ... but the table is restored to its position almost silently, with a minimum of scuffle.* Oh, I'm not sure. Maybe it was the way your fur ruffled, several times, when you raised your voice -- or maybe it was the way you raised your voice, occasionally showing more fang than is friendly. Or maybe it's just my imagination, and that's your people's way of flirting or something ... but I rather doubt it.

*Or, maybe 'Bait has a death wish. Then again, he is holding a chair; if she rushes at him, he has an easy barrier that ought to stall her for a second or two.*
PostPosted: Thu Jun 10, 2010 10:02 am

OOC: neaw? I've never seen Blazing Saddles...*shrugs* my character has always been a kitsune (remember Lady Kitsune?)lol, just changed the acct an gave it to my boyfriend now husband, lol. I've always prefered it over my elvish Seremela anywayz. And if you'd like to call her Mozilla then thats totally up to you (=^.^=)

BIC: Sere almost drops another chair mid lift as she starts snickering at his assumptions. "Oh goodness" She looked at him, green eyes twinkling "I have yet to ruffle my fur in anger or distaste. My voice, if it did raise, would have been out of excitment if anything. When I'm angry it is more of a low growl then excited yip." She turns away to upright the chair she was holding and continues looking away from him. "I have yet to smile, but with fangs like these one can't help to show them when one grins...And for a kitsune..well....my advice would be never trust a grinning kitsune."

She turns back to him feeling accomplised "as for myself, well I'm grinning because I'm being mischievous, malicious, or flirting. So don't doubt so much." She tilts her head to the side and grins, her eyes still twinkling, "and don't worry. For one I wouldn't be stupid enough to attack you with furniture in you hands. For two I do not feel like attacking you. In fact, for a human, I rather...like you...your entertaining and interesting..."

ooc: for what it's worth i just finally realized what you mend 'bait. sorry (=>.<=) multitasking was kickin my bum as usual. sorry to seem so stupid. The pictures were adorable, i loved them (=^.^=) I still dont get the blazing saddles jokes because i really havn't seen the movie but regardless. *shrugs*

OOC: I do seem to recall that char, but I only found these pics within the past couple of years.

BIC: *"Never trust a grinning kitsune ... " actually, he didn't really need to hear that. He already knows (or suspects) a bit about her, probably more than she'd like him to. But there's no point in telling her that.* Why, ye're grinnin' right naow! The odds're two to three against me. And with ye bein' somewhat open with yer praise, I'm inclined to think the odds're actually worse!

*Okay, there's no mistaking that accent. There's no defining it, either ... though for some, the phrase "Scottish Jew" might come to mind. It fades with his laughter as he moves to an upturned couch, flipping it back gently.* Ach, I'd love to know who or what did this. I was thinking it might have been Tryan, but ... he doesn't strike me as the destructive type. And furniture's just moved, not actually damaged. Strange.

OOC: No biggie; I usually appear stupid. Saves me the effort of trying to be smart. xp

Micro-spoiler on the movie; when the new sheriff rides into town (to find himself greeted by a celebration-parade-turning-lynch-mob), his first words (when he tries to read from the Governor's letter making him sheriff) are " 'Scuse me while I whip this out.") Most memorable line in the movie, for no good reason. You can probably find it on DailyWav.

By his pauses she could tell he was a thinker which was intriguing. In her experience most humans acted out of impulse...She felt like she didn't need to explain herself so much now which was a breath of fresh air. She snickered with him letting him take her grining how he wanted. It was so fun playing with humans.

"Tell me a little of the Tryan character. I've never met them but they sound...Interesting....and you've mentioned them quite a few times now..." She sits in an chair comfortably ready for an interesting story as she digests.

Tryan is ... well, yeah, "character" describes it fairly well.

*He scoops up some debris from the tables and starts putting it back where it belongs.* He looks like ... well, it's hard to say, but picture a human being with fur, a beak, monkey-like paws, a perpetual cat-like crouch, a shamanic-style staff, and a severe distrust for anything that walks upright. He also seems to be in constant pain, and I'm convinced he's more intelligent than he lets on ... but it's hard to say, since he doesn't speak, and acts like he doesn't understand us. There's darkness in him, but I'm not convinced that it's all his; I think he was ...

*Well, that's going a bit too far, so 'Bait veers away from that line of thought.* I'm hoping to see him again; I have something that might help us communicate. But ... and this is one of the oddest things about the SpellJammer ... it's amazing how many people are up here, and yet how few we can find when we're actually looking for them. You've mentioned it yourself, talking about Ontaros.

Sere looks up at the ceiling tryingt to visualize something so misfit. Catching his intentions and his steering away from it, she wanted to ask but knew she'd be pressuring so she shrugged it off. "Well i'll get the point more when I see this Tryan again...and yes there are not many people that I've seen up here but Ontaros seems to believe there are plenty..." She shrugs, "It's fine with me because the training room will seem to be open more often then, and so will the open fields."

She settles into the chair more comfortably and looks at the still standing blonde haired human. "So...who else have you met here?"
