"Noooo~" Devendra whined, though he rolled to the side and curled about the hybrid despite the protest, still set on attempting to find comfort. To say waking the princeling was a trial was sort of a huge understatement. "Sleeep~" he whined further, still yet clinging to the lovely soft warmth his hybrid provided. They'd been getting along so well before the drop-n'-thunk, mrfle.

There'd been a couple nice points inbetween, though. And cuddling - he liked that. Sometimes a lot more than anything else about other people - that you could be close and delicate without being all squishy and other things.

It was, however, a little much for Thierry. To see Devendra in that which he perceived to be the unicorn's element - somnambulant, clingy boorishness (neglecting to mention the attractive points, such as attentiveness, charm, sheer looks--argh! the insufferable man!) - and attached to this little idiot of a hybrid, falling right for them--no, he just--he couldn't--

"Get up!" the cat snapped, 'nudging' Devendra's head indelicately with his slippered food.

......Ow.

Devendra's skull thunked resoundingly on the (albeit carpeted) floor and, unsurprisingly, he moaned in a most piteously offended manner. "There's a really big dust bunny tryin' to kill me," he muttered incoherently, to the point where it sounded a little more like "mrmrmrmrmrmmmrrr" but anyway... >>

He nevertheless remained delightfully oblivious to the presence of anyone but Zakai about whom he remained quite draped.

Nnf... Nooooooo - he didn't want Devendra to win. The hybrid found himself pouting at the fact that Dev had simply wrapped around him and struggled to find comfort. For some strange reason, Zakai felt all... warm and kind of fuzzy on the inside to have Dev wrapped around him.

But... NO. No, no, no, no, no-- hey! That was a good idea. Why didn't he think of kicking the unicorn? Unaffective, but still. What a way to relieve some anger. Though, it seemed that the feline had more of a problem with Zakai than he did with Dev - at least, that was how Zakai had taken it.

Frowning, he sighed dramatically and allowed the unicorn access to find comfort, wrapping one arm loosely around him while stroking his hair with his free hand, fingers running loosely through the soft, golden strands.

It wasn't that Dev was just attractive... No, that wasn't just it. He was more than attractive... Gorgeous, beautiful, stunning... Nearly perfect, except for he was ten times more stubborn than Zakai himself, and always seemed to win, which if it were anyone else, would be completely unacceptable for the little hybrid. But... nnnf... He would let Dev get his way, with another one of those 'just this once' lies to himself.

The unicorn's chest rose softly with a long intake of breath as he held the hybrid just a little bit closer, stretching muscles though remaining entwined in that comfortable and comforting fashion, shoulders and back arching slightly before that breath escaped in a long issue of contentment, disregarding completely that a foot once scorned was more than liable to kick again. But if he could ignore that for just a while more he could continue to be completely enveloped and distracted by just how nice and easy this all could be, this morning without waking. Or whatever time it actually was.

Because he wasn't looking, not with real eyes just the mind's - and he liked the way this fell out. For however much he wanted sleep (and he was going to get sleep, so there) it was... the easing into waking by rolling about in a tangle that was... meh... still too far in the sleep time to really define it - if he ever got around to it again at all so whatever.

And damn but he did like the feel of fingers through his hair more than just a little. It was the sort of sensation that had him melt - and when Devendra melted he draped and draped as he was he draped more. Yeah. This was nice. Completely disinclined to move.

Dignity saved Thierry (and Devendra) from further beatings - more kicks would be silly - however satisfying - and more than a little uncouth. Under that consideration the cat stalked out of the room only to return moments later with a bucket of cold water, which he rather unconscientiously dumped directly over the two cuddling morons making a mess of themselves on the floor.

"Devendra~" he sang with a vicious tone cutting into the sing-song, "You and your little growth have better things to do." A heavy pause and a sniff that lacked all signs of remorse. "Dion's been looking for you." The name spoken with not a little hesitation, for all the ferociousness woven in. Dion was not something to be taken lightly, regardless of his stature.

Lending no explanation to the condemnation Thierry exited, tail lashing unconsciously. Oh he was going to find a way to make the princeling pay.

Yes. Well... that had certainly brought Zakai back to reality, as if instead of cold water a bucket of the real world had been dumped onto him. Instantly, the hybrid gave a shiver and sat up, still wrapped up in what had once been something blissful.

Yes. Reality. Aleksandir. Raecelyn. Home. Those things and people rushed back into his mind, and he lightly gave Dev a push, before untangling himself once more to stand, clothes dripping and wet hair sticking to his face.

How unpleasant he found reality to be at this moment. If only... then again, no. He musn't get attatched (unadmittedly he was), or things could get... complicated. Too complicated than Zakai cared for.

The hybrid was a teenager. Barely older than fifteen, he hadn't been sixteen for all that long at all. Nearly a week, at most. Shivering, he rubbed his arms through his now nearly transparent shirt, damp tail sweeping across his legs to dry and warm them, though that proved very unsuccessful.

Frowning, he glanced down towards Dev, before lightly walking around him and towards the door. Glancing around, to see if he had left anything (merely an excuse to stay longer?), the hybrid continued frowning. "Goodbye, Devendra." He said gently, but loud enough to be heard as he began walking towards the door once more.

What? No! He didn't--no!

Devendra made a face and a prolonged noise of protestation - though how exactly one could protest with so temporally impermanent an event as a bucket of water now dropped he wasn't going to bother thinking about - probably because he couldn't fathom such a mental feat. But he persisted to protest nevertheless - because not only had the advent of the bucket destroyed his warmth it'd also taken away that nice soft thing that'd been his hybrid--no, this just wouldn't do.

Sleepily yet the princeling rose to seated position as one of the living dead, though perhaps less jerkily than your typical B-rated zombie flick. It took him a long moment to register the syllables that had dropped from Zakai's lips - oh, pretty lips... the way they glistened with water and - hey what? No! No leaving! Why would he do that? He couldn't do that! "You can't do that!" the unicorn insisted from his personal plot of floor, looking absolutely distraught in all his dampened glory. What a face for drama this one had...

"I--you've--you can't just leave... I don't want you to!" The bad part about it was that for all the words bore the semblance of commands and control, their delivery was so emphatically emotional that all arrogance was driven straight out and replaced by a yearning plea - despite how much of the words really were motivated by that self-possession.
