New love slot~ ;D

( Story shall be up at our earliest convience! =D )
Here we go~ Sorry for the wait!
Valentines’ Day…Keira sighed happily, pawing at the bright orange flower in front of her. Flowers reminded her of simpler times when she could gallop through the flowers all day long with him at her side. Him…Citrus. Keira giggled, suddenly feeling very giddy. Oh, that boy! He was her first best friend and now he was her first and only love.
It was the flowers that started it all, right? She had met him here all that time ago. It was…unbelievable what time caused.
“Oh, Dear Dandylion! I hope the Queen Bee will behave today~”
The lioness cooed, teasing at their childhood imaginings. Queen Bee and Pokey the cricket, was it? Hmm~
Oh well! It didn’t matter now!
Keira smiled and brushed her tail feathers and flakes along the flowers that surrounded her. The feelings of peace and affection that they spread to her were breathtaking. Maybe that’s why she loved it here, and maybe that’s why she fell in love with him…here, among the flowers.
“Nene~ Love is good!”
Pulling herself to her feet, Keira took one last look at her precious flowers before bounding away. Today was Valentines’ Day, and she was in for quite the surprise. It would be yet another miracle she would have to thank her flowery friends for later.
He could still remember the beginning. The first time he'd managed to piece together a flowery crown for her to wear. It wasn't the first time he'd done it. But it was the first time anyone'd looked so happy to get it. She was the first one that had gone along with him so freely, playing into his imaginings without hesitation, only playing off it with her own. To this day, he'd never met anybody like her.
Citrus was older now. But he'd never understood why that had to change anything. Why give up laughter? Why give up stories of magic and adventure? There was no rule about growing up that meant you still couldn't still have fun. To see that reflected in his best friend, the one who wore a smile just as bright and youthful as his own, that sealed his feelings for good. Their bodies had grown and changed so much since that first day. The world had changed around them. Keira had raised cubs of her own, even. But they, themselves, hadn't changed at all. Their spirits were still light and free as they'd ever been, and they were still the first to stop and take in the beauty of the flowers around them.
For Valentine's Day, another crown of flowers would await her. The most gorgeous flowers he could find. The only thing more beautiful was his precious princess herself, if you asked him. If only he knew the secret she held inside of her, he might've known something just as beautiful awaited him. But there was no telling a secret she didn't yet know she had.
