“Oh, I’ve never been to the states, it sounds like you have had it rough. I hope this can be a haven for you.” Marie smiled politely before the Lucy craziness began. She jumped out of her chair in surprise and immediately checked under where her butt had been for “Lucy” whatever it was. She flung in head around a little panicky, though having no idea what the heck she was looking for. She blushed at her silliness when a cat strode in. “Oh,” she sighed, relieved that Mal’s distress had vanished as the cat and then his things appeared.
Marie looked to the cat as Mal placed his suitcase under the bed and sat back down.
“Lucy,” he said, motioning to the animal.
“Awwww… May I pet her?” Marie asked, smiling and admiring the kitty.

Aya waited for what seemed like eternity. Finally, he grunted at her and began walking. She sighed with relief as he walked past her. She leaned over a bit to open her hand and throw what was left out before a couple of small weights suddenly attached to her legs. She looked down and froze. About four geckos had clinged onto her shins. She began to kick frantically. "I'm sorry I'm sorry Gomenasai Gomenasai" she whispered, even using her father's commonly used word. After doing this frantic dance of panic, the geckos finally flew off. Aya turned and began to walk away. Hearing small, rustles, she turned around slowly. They were following her. Her eyes widened. Just throw it out now... She leaned to the side to throw the (hopefully) slightly rotten carcass, when Bane began speaking in her direction. She halted and looked forward, blinking. She knew she would get lost without guidance. Taking one glance at her closed hand, she emitted a frustrated groan and ran towards Arkell and Bane's direction.

Mal laughed and held up his hands. "Don't ask me," he said, looking to Lucy. Lucy turned to look at him then blinked and seemed to roll her eyes. She turned her neck towards the wall as though opening an invitation to be petted. She seemed to give off an air as though she was saying, "All right, if you must," but the cat said nothing, as usual. Mal had always had a special relationship with the cat. He seemed to understand her better than anyone. Maybe it was because he had rescued her, but maybe it was a latent power that he hadn't truly discovered. Laughing inwardly at the latter option, Mal disregarded it. There was no possible way he could be any freakier. He was skinless from head to toe. The muscles were tougher close to the outside as though making up for the skinlessness and he had never gotten sick while in his vulnerable state. He could grow bones spontaneously from anywhere on his body and he could retract them. Add talking to cats to the top of that list and he would go insane. But having the seeming ability to understand his pet was fairly useful. It provided him with a friend and it made him more understanding of her needs. She could get what she wanted faster. He could have a companion. The relationship worked both ways. He smiled at Lucy as she allowed herself to be petted. Scratching her behind the ear, he looked to Marie. "Go ahead," he told her.

(( Your welcome? O_O; *hugs back* ))
Arkell gave a little giggle as Bane trotted along beside her, and continued to wait for Aya. She heard her frantic whispered sorries and raised an eyebrow confused. She was going to drop something when Bane called to her, and she looked back with alarm. Arkell simply disregarded it and stuffed her hands into her pockets. When Aya finally joined them she started walking again, a little spring in her step. "So, Aya, what are your 'super' powers?" she said with a little grin.
Sergey stood up and brushed himself off his cheeks erupting into a furious blush as he tried to play off the fall. "It vas not a problem...I don't mind ef you set up next to me, you just startled me es all." He gave a little cough as he hopped back up onto his bed. He watched with a little smile as she twirled some of her hair around her finger, like she had earlier when they first talked and he forced himself to look away, feigning disinterest. When she brought up classes he let out a little groan, as they were to start tomorrow and he was not looking forward to his science class. He had never been good with science, hated anything to with that. The fact that he was some sort of freak of science and nature also just made him hate the subject more. When Mal panicked over something named 'Lucy', Sergey made no reaction and merely scanned the room not seeing anything. That was until the cat walked into the room. As soon as he set eyes on the furry creature his scowl returned full force and he set a glare upon the cat who would be sharing the room as well. Sergey was a bird, naturally he did not like cats. Thankfully he was of the giant 'bird' variety and so did not have much to worry about over the furball, still...he didn't like cats.

Marie sat of the corner of the bed on the other side of the cat and massaged behind her ears. She usually had a thing there for animals. Because of many sore muscles and whatnot for being a dancer, she had knowing hands for massages, and gently rubbed Lucy awhile in special spots on each side of the cats head using only her thumb and middle finger. After awhile she stopped, in case the cat didn’t like it, not wanting to push it into annoyance and scratch her.
Sergey seemed a bit displeased with the cat, but he still seemed a bit flustered from earlier. She thought it best to leave then. “Well, I haven’t eaten all day, unlike you two, so I will be making my way to the cafeteria.” Marie got up, putting the chair away Sergey had pulled out earlier and went towards the door. “I shall see you two later.”
She disappeared and then popped back, “Oh! Should I bring something back for Lucy? Some milk or anything?”

((Idea for how to get her sick....Hm...that seems demented doesn't it?))
Aya slowed when she got to Bane, almost tripping over him, but quickly catching her step. She took a look behind her and blew out a deep breath. The geckos had stopped following her. She once again, went back to searching. Her nerves were high strung, meaning that there was no way the dead gecko hadn't decayed slightly. She looked up as she was being asked a question. She swallowed and smiled nervously. This is what she was afraid of. "Uhum...well...I can..." she glanced a thick twig and picked it up. In a matter of seconds, it began to blacken, causing Aya to breathe in sharply. She was decaying things much faster, her power feeding off of her stress. She glanced up to see if Arkell had seen what was happening to the branch.

Mal shrugged at the notion of food for Lucy. "I think she's fine." Looking back to Sergey, Mal caught his death glare. "Oh," he said. "Is she bothering you." At this, Lucy looked at Sergey and stared him right in the eye with an unamused look upon her face. "She doesn't have to stay in here," Mal continued. Lucy darted a look to Mal as though she understood what he was thinking, then returned to licking herself.

oOMyMelodyOo Candice stepped back from Matthew with a slight jolt from surprise. "It's fine people seem to over look me, I am looking for my team members as well, do you know any of these people?" She asked him removing a slip of paper with all the names listed on it. "If you could tell me it would be a great help." Candice's hair flipped in the wind and the sun glred into her eyes making her squint slightly as she stood. Candice was starting to become more distressed only a little less than an hour than she'd have to go or somehow explain the situation.
He gave a kind smile at her mention of not being noticed. When she pulled out a list with his name on it, Matthew was surprised. What luck! So she must be either Aki or Candice. He looked up from the list and cheerfully responded, "That I do. In fact, I'm Matthew Parker. My roommate, whom I have yet to meet, is Huilliame. Are you Aki or Candice?" His words came out all at once. Jumbled together, his teammate didn't have a chance to speak until he finished. He grew a litle self-concious about his nervous speech, but quickly banished that feeling from his mind. ((I'm so sorry for the delay. Work has been killing me.))

[not a problem that happens to me too.] Candice looked at the list. "Yes I am Candice, it's a pleasure meeting you Matthew. Candice bowed than put her list away. "So now we just need Aki and Hulliame." She felt sick, why was she being so polite to a stranger? She decided to act like her regular self instead of being a push over, she didn't want to make a bad impression. "Than our whole team is together, I wonder how they group teams? is it by ability? name? race? or gender? or a combination?" Candice thought for a moment. "I know, what's your ability?" she asked.

(( a little gruesome sure, since we're the ones who are guna have to get you to the infirmary, but it would work, and your running out of time *pout* ))
Arkell had continued to walk, so she hadn't observed the stick start rotting. She was counting on Aya to explain what it was she could do. She stopped and turned to look at Aya since she had stopped talking have bumbling a little bit and thats when she saw the rotted stick in her hand. She raised an eyebrow at her and cocked her head to the side in confusion. "Why'd you pick up a rotted stick?"
Sergey smiled a little as Marie got up to leave, giving a small wave while she was at the door. "I vill see you later then, ya?" He said his smile going a little lop sided as one side went up farther than the other. He didn't really want her to leave, but she did have to eat, and he had already eaten. Though he did not really want to think about that...when Mal spoke he looked over at him and then down at the cat. "No, et is alright. I am just not beg cat fan. Birds and cats do not get along so vell...But I vould not vant to keck her out of the room."

Tess had been watching Aya, even as he walked with Arkell, and he stopped walking when he saw what was happening to the stick. He backed up a bit, bumping slightly into Arkell when she stopped walking. "She... She made the stick rot." and then realization of what he was doing made him grunt and step forward. "Can you.. do that with anything?" he asked nervously. He was still kind of in between her and Arkell, with obviously no intent to change it.

“Okay then,” Marie said, “Adios, mis amigos!” [Trans: Goodbye, my friends!]
Marie walked back down the hall, closing her room door back up. Perhaps my roommate is in the café? She thought, continuing barefoot down the hall and out dormitory C’s doors. She swept gracefully through the open area of ground to the large cafeteria and auditorium combo building, admiring its dome shape… as well as the other buildings shaped the same way.
She walked through the cafeteria doors, not really sure what she was hungry for. Getting in line, she ended up with a chicken sandwich and fries, before scanning the room to see Terra and some other guy. Marie saw this as perhaps being her entire team and sat herself with them. “Hello, I’m Marie,” she said to the unknown young man, but looking to Terra and waving when saying the “hello” segment.

Seeing Arkell's head still facing forward, Aya turned her hand downward to drop the stick. She paused as Arkell asked her another question. Looking up meekly, she opened her mouth to speak until Bane voiced her thoughts. She whipped her head in his direction, swallowing nervously. The branch broke in half and fell to the ground, breaking into several rotten pieces. Hearing Bane's question, she took a deep breath and began to speak. "O-Only to living things.Or things that have once been a-alive, like fallen l-leaves and branches....or dead lizards..."she stuttered out, lowering her voice and grimacing at the last part. She kept her eyes on the ground again, though it was starting to make her dizzy. She shook her head and blinked until finally just averting her stare upward at Arkell. Her head felt a little better as she did sp, though she could tell her equilibrium was still a bit off.

Matthew bowed slightly in return and replied, "Yeah, Aki will probably be harder to locate, because I'll be meeting Huilliame some time tonight." When she expressed her curiosity concering team member assignments, Matthew responded, "I'm just as curious. name and race don't seem to have anything to do with our team at least. We are evenly split by gender, though." He as also pondering the pattern and reasoning, if any existed, when Candice spoke once more. Matthew was expecting such a question, though he still took a moment before answering, "My power is called Local Gravity Manipulation. With it, I can alter the gravity influencing any given object, including myself and others. What's yours?"

Candice smiled when he spoke of Aki. "I suppose you're right about that." She listened to Matthew's ability. "Wow that's an interesting power, I would trade that for mine." Candice paused and blushed red with embarrassment. "My power isn't that special, you don't want to know it." She said nervously. "It's kind of embarrassing." She laughed.
