Xuchilbarra was still sitting in the grass besides Hugo but when he saw Pyrate exit the house he stood up rather quickly, the movement oddly fluid for a being so big. He looked down at Hugo, grabbing one of his arms and "helping" him up by simply tugging him to his feet. Seemed like the polite thing to do. He left the Great Knife in the grass where it lay for now, figuring it would be safe there for a bit.
He watched Hermione, cautious of approaching them despite his desperate need to be near Pyrate. He rumbled a low throaty sound like an elephant might make, staring. She had power, yes, but nothing dark, nothing that would help her to control him. Her smell was strong, too much perfume like she wanted to cover something up, at least that was how Barra read it.

Hermione hesitated mid-step as the shed came into view, chocolate eyes widening as Hugo’s companion rose to its feet, the length of its helmet casting a shadow across the grass. She had studied into dark magics in research of her patients’ past, but all the snapshots of unique inferi and soul-holding zombies did not prepare her for seeing something so - so whatever it was. Her vocabulary spluttered mentally.
“Oh,” she whispered, a noise like she’d pricked her finger on something. Her fingers twitched in Pyrate’s grasp.

Panic crackled across Hugo’s skin before the boy gathered his wits and willed himself to relax, settling lightly on his sandal-clad feet as Barra set him down. Air left his lungs in a sharp exhale from his nose, a flush of pink coloring the length of his neck as he swallowed. Holy s**t, he was going to need a night light again after today.
“Thanks, man,” he said lightly, and gave a nervous laugh when he saw his mother.

Xuchilbarra made his way across the lawn, squinting beneath his helm to better see. The grating was basically invisible at this point, just blurry annoying lines that always were across his vision, only becoming noticed again when he really wanted to see. Somehow he really didn't like Hermione holding Pyrate's hand. There was an energy in the touch that made him consider many awful things. Despite how clean she looked, the strong scent of flowers emanating around her, to Barra she seemed dirty and unworthy to be touching Pyrate at all.
He approached them and stopped a few feet away, holding his arm outstretched for Pyrate to take his hand. Sounds of tearing flesh and cracking bones filled his head.

*Lets Hermione's hand go after giving it a reassuring squeeze before taking Barra's, stepping over cautiously so as not to trip on any tufts of grass as he moved.*
*Murmurs to Barra as he stands beside him* Relax.
*He could since the odd crackle of protectiveness and possibly jealousy, and urged it away. Hermione to him was far cleaner than he himself could be. He hoped to explain better how much she and her family meant to him when he and Barra had a moment alone. He wanted to make certain it was clear that they were on a similar level as far as his life went because of everything he'd gone through with them.*

A frown crossed Hermione’s features, her expression uncertain as she glanced between Pyrate and his companion. “Well… where do we start, in finding his brother, I mean?”

*Appears just outside the house, running up the yard to get inside, nearly forgetting to shut the front door as she goes up the stairs in sets of two*
Pyrate! Pyrate, we need to leave now! We know where he is!
