"Grrr," Tanu growled as she fell down several notches to the point where it was like she was back to half way. "Dammit! Just throw that stupid animal off the edge!" the girl shouted in anger as she tried to reach up and snatch Zuka from Kiba's arms. "Give him here! I'll do it!" Tanu yelled, not thinking of the consequences she would receive from Natamo for her actions, but only thinking of getting to the top. That stupid smelly thing was slowing them down and it was pissing her off! The ladder was shaking as Tanu kept trying to snatch Zuka out of Kiba's hand and she started to notice this and stopped immediately. "Aarr!" she sighed in frustration. She hated training exercises like these that tested patience and teamwork! Shin always excelled at these while Kiba and Tanu struggled slightly.

"T-Tanu!" Shin yelled as the impatient hot headed girl began pushing Kiba up to the top of the ladder. As the girl slipped, Shin immediately tried to reach down and grab Kiba by his shirt, so he wouldn't fall all the way to the bottom, but might have a chance to grab onto the ladder with his one free hand before being pulled down by Tanu. "H-Hey! Knock it off," Shin yelled down at her as he climbed back down a section to try and help Kiba with Zuka. "Maybe if we get him latched around your neck or something," Shin suggested as he tried to help move Zuka's long hair arms around Kiba's neck.

Just as Kiba finally managed to get the precariously held and sleeping Zuka back under control he felt goosebumps charge up his spine like so many little samurai and the hair stood erect on the back of his neck as a pack of suddenly alerted dogs. Did he...? Yes! There was definitely something violating his personal space more and more by the moment. He glanced down to see what was the matter and was shocked to see Tanu! Is she really...? the young Raiken began to think to himself, but no sooner had he begun to ponder as to why precisely the strong Kun Kumo was so grosly encroaching upon his personal bubble then he really felt violated as he felt her rather firmly grab hold of it as she tried to keep herself from falling back down the ladder. With his shock of Tanu's lack of shyness, the fact that his pants were now pulled far enough down so as to expose his bright yellow under wear and the ladder now shaking violently culminating together Kiba lost his one handed grip of the ladder and fell back down to the same rung Tanu was back on, though out of her arms' reach. Too busy pulling his pants back up to respond to the crimson haired Kun Kumo, Kiba simply told Shin "Thank you!" as the Nara helped him to reposition the now awoken Zuka around Kiba's neck. With a great sigh the dark eyed Raiken stared at the last remaining rung before them all. So close and yet so far... After eyeing the task before them Kiba's gaze drifted upon Tanu with a rather puzzled expression. Thinking he would try to avoid a repeat of the rather awkward episode that had just occurred Kiba climbed directly beside Tanu, and hoisted himself a little above her offering her his hand. "Come on Tanu, I'll help you up."

Shin sighed heavily at the spectacle that Tanu had caused and was glad that Kiba was keeping it under control and not holding a grudge towards Tanu's crude behavior. Then again, Kiba really wasn't the kind of guy to get hot headed over small things like exposed underwear. Shin was truly shocked when Kiba offered to help Tanu up, but smiled at the delightful surprise. With Zuka in place, Tanu set in a position to where her hot headed eagerness couldn't ruin anything, Shin was sure they'd make it to the top now. "I'll move ahead," Shin said as Kiba and Tanu worked together after Shin had gotten Zuka in a good spot around Kiba's neck. He was sure they'd all make it to the top now and there would be no scene to bring them back down! This was the teamwork they had and it was quite a unique form.

Shaking her head back and forth, Hanabira sadly said no to Karite's question. Where had Orika been? The Yamanaka was slightly concerned, but the farm girl was very strong, so she tried not to worry too much. "Maybe... some of the animals at the farm are giving her troubles?" the girl suggested with a small smile at Karite. Hanabira was glad that their next training wasn't as dangerous as the last. Despite being trained as a shinobi, Hanabira had never spent a night outside of a home. Karite used the whip in which he had been tied up with to secure a tree. With a nod of her head, Hanabira picked up the slack of the whip behind Karite. She wasn't very strong, but she knew Karite was. If the little extra bit of weight and strength were able to help him pull down and tie the trees to create a shelter, then she would do her best to help. As the tree began to tilt, Hanabira stopped pulling hard and waited for Karite to instruct her on what to do next. She really was useless when it came to outdoor things...
Tying Down Trees [No Roll.] Now that you can listen to each other well, you can work together and tie down a tree - what for? To make a lean-to! Natamo crossed her arms and grinned. "See there pussycat? You made Yezzy fall asleep. Not hard when you focus, huh?" Natamo laughed and picked up the floppy eared rabbit gently, cradling it as she took it back to her hammock and laid it inside. Kore would be a little more active for this next training, and she didn't want Yezzy hurt. She might have to check Zuka for injuries, but the sloth hadn't fallen yet, so there wasn't any immediate danger. Except Kiba's shirt would reek of sloth...but that wasn't a huuuuuge deal. Natamo scratched Kore's head and praised him softly, a few simple words that wouldn't be understood - they were in her own sort of clicking language, one she used with animals. A rough translation would be 'control suits you, mighty one', but really, there was no translation to it. Slapping his belly lightly, Natamo dusted off her hands and nodded her head. "Alright Kore, go find Hana and Karite some dinner. Off with you now," she said, turning and expecting him to go.
Kore: +1 Charisma, +5 Exp.
Kore: Find Dinner! Go to the Bamboo Forest and bring back a deer. Follow the hunting instructions found on the first page of the Tategami Grounds. Bring it back to the Lagoon, or the rest of your squad goes hungry.

Tanu turned her head to the side and let out a loud "HRRCHFF!" snort as Kiba extended his hand to her. To see Shin baby the animal now around Kiba's neck and to have Kiba, her arch enemy, hold his hand out for her to take, Tanu felt rather disgusted by the whole scene! "Whatever," the girl said with attitude as she took Kiba's hand and pulled herself up to where the boys were. Now that they were at the top, Tanu only imagined what Natamo wanted them to do. "Are we going to build a stupid next for the stinky thing?" Tanu asked sarcastically to her teammates as she hung onto the ring of the ladder limply and looked down... They were up pretty high and it made Tanu's stomach churn. She wasn't nervous or anything! But she had never been up this high and it was exhilirating.

Karite smiled as Hana-chan began to pull down the tree. As he began to get closer to the base of the tree he took the whip and tied it around the tree. As he grabbed the rope a twain he looked up at Hana-chan. Smiling he raised a sweaty arm to her. "Would you mind tying the leaves together? I am going to try and tie down these trees. I wouldn't want Natomo skinning me for her whip." Karite smiled as he tossed the rope over top the trees and began to pull tightly. It seemed easier to make a tent then to do this.

Kore shot up quickly as the woman said something about hunting. She had praised him on his work, although painful and unenjoyable. As he stood he roared in a playful manner. Hopping around the lion looked at Karite. The boy wasn't coming along on this hunt, but Kore would not let him down. Turning, the lion sped off into the village heading towards the bamboo forest to pull down a big buck.

Hanabira nodded her silent yes as she picked up the rope. Tie the leaves together... When she first heard that, she thought of thread through every single leaf, so that they would be tied together tightly and there would be no holes in the tent. "Anno..." Hanabira started, but then quieted herself as she realized that was just silly and time consuming. "Tie down the branches?" she asked, clarifying what Karite had asked of her before she actually did it. Her first assumption was plain silly and probably not right. Her second assumption seemed pretty reasonable, but she had never done this before, so she wanted to make sure by Karite since he was quite the outdoorsman living in tents a good part of his life since he became a Tategami. Where did Karite live before then? Hanabira wondered, but she did not ask...

As Karite threw the rope around the two trees he turned his head to Hanabaria wiping a few strands of his lime green hair away. "Sorry about that. Just time the branches together. Make sure there not to bunched up. If it rains you might catch a cold." As Karite smiled and looked back at his rope he pulled tightly, letting the veins in his arms burst out. As he tried to tie his knot he wanted to make sure it was tight enough to the point these to trees wouldn't separate. Now that the rope was tight, the only real problem was he skipped the knots portion of the academy. He had no real skill with ropes aside from cutting himself free from them. What kind of knot did those damn pirates use to tie down their cargo? If he could remember he could make sure this thing wouldn't move.

Natamo stretched and looked up at the sky. Hm...
"Alright you three, good job. Get down from there - and give me Zuka, Raiken, you're going to give the poor baby a heart attack." Natamo would wait for the sloth, but she kept on with her words. "You three need to get to the village, there's some sort'a ceremony there you should be attending. Go on now, git'," she said at them casually, waiting for her sloth with open arms. She was listening to Hanabira and Karite, and was pleased that they were working moderately well together. She wouldn't have to assist just yet, so she let them work. Better them together than them with her hovering over them.

"Ok, Sensei!" Shin called down once he heard Natamo say they were all good to go. Climbing down slowly and more cautiously than one should, Shinobu made his way to the bottom and jumped down the last few feet. "Thanks for the lesson, Natamo-sensei," Shin said very respectively as he bowed towards his teacher. "I'm gonna get cleaned up quick! Meet you guys at the village," Shin said with a bright smile as the boy went sprinting back to his new apartment. His cousin was suppose to be arriving today or tomorrow, so he wanted to check and see if he was there yet!

"Hai," Hanabira said softly, understand what Karite wanted from her. She took the rope and thought for a second as to how to do this. As her mind worked, she thought of a very good idea. Karite said not to bunch them up, other they might catch cold. Setting down the rope, Hanabira began to weave the branches in and out between one another like one would do with a basket or blanket. She hadn't done much crafting since Mai passed away, but she had helped with a few sewing and knitting projects the woman had done. Especially projects where Tenmoki Aya was concerned! Hanabira still felt terrible that she hadn't gone with Aya as a squad leader, but she knew the kunoichi understood what Hanabira desired out of becoming a genin. Once Hanabira was finished weaving the branches, she tied them down to create a very breeze free ceiling and wall. Once she was done, she noticed Karite staring at the rope. "Anno," Hanabira started as she walked over to Karite. "I think I know a few good knots," she said, taking part of the rope and showing Karite a way to loop the knots around so that they would hold. Hanabira had traveled on the fisherman's boat a few times, so she had studied the knots they did to tied down their sales.

Karite was glad that Hana knew something about knots. As they finished up the knots together he smiled his signature smile at the girl as he flopped back onto his back. As he laid there smiling the boy looked around. It was almost time for the ceremony and Orika still wasn't around. "Natamo-sempai. We finished the lean-to." Karite said as he rolled over onto his stomach. Putting his arms under his head he looked around just in time to catch Kore. The lion had come back empty handed and that meant he was going hungry. "Kore, looks like another catch got away from you. Dont worry buddy, we will get it." Karite knew Kore was always hard on himself trying to live up to Baki's legacy. So as far as their partnership went it was laid back. Kore and Karite were misfits and screw ups and as far as it mattered to Karite, they were the best shinobi on the island.

Kore came into the lagoon head hung low and tail as still as ice. As he came into the group he locked eyes with Karite. His golden eyes were filled with confusion and disappointment. As he circled around the group he laid down next to Karite. As he huffed the lion closed his eyes. He thought of telling the boy about Orika, but it was time the thief handled his love interest on his own. The lion was to tired to care right now.
