Leon was obviously disappointed by the lack of damage his hit did. It seemed like he was trying to... cut a river? Of course! Leon threw the dagger directly at the spawn like an expert and then took his cloak off, setting his sword on the ground. Luckily, there was a rather large rock that was only about 35 pounds, light to Leon, that was the right size. He lifted the rock out of the ground, and placed it in his splayed cloak. He then gathered the edges of his cloak and effectively made a flexible club. "[Blade! Try blunt weapons! A splash does more to water and ice than a slice does!]" he shouted to Blade who was on the other side of the spawn. He hoped desperately that this spawn had no idea how to interpret ibixian. He hefted his cloak-rock over his shoulder and waited for a moment to see if he would be given the order to attack again, or if it would be assumed.

He snarled when the spawn avoided his jaws. This stupid little thing was fast, curse it! Leaping away before it attacked him, he began to circle it, making sure to stay towards where the ground began to melt into snow.
"Make it colder!"
The great beast snorted. Why hadn't she said that in the first place? Raising his head, he let out a long, drawn out howl that seemed to echo through the mountains, even as an icy gale came down upon them like an avalanche. It shattered the heat spells the elves had so carefully brought up, making the temperature of the market grounds easily drop forty degrees in one large spike, and continue to lower as the heat of the ground was lost to the cold air. Making its own judgement call, the summon used the sudden temperature drop to attack, hoping the crash of cold air would slow down the demon-like creature. His fangs once again snapped at one of the spawn's many legs, intent on ripping one of them off this time.

"What the fu..." He bit off the rest of his curse, staring as the rest of the party began its attack.
"How the bloody hell can it move so damn fast..."he muttered.
The command for freezing it was shouted by the Leader, just as the New Guy threw his dagger at the spawn...
...his dagger...at the spawn...HIS DAGGER!
"MY DAGGER! You...you! That! SON OF A"
Rushing forward just as the wolf summon thing began howling and doing...something, he skidded past the spawn, raising his Sock Rock.
"You have something of mine of great importance mister spawn! Sure, you didn't really take it from me, but damn it I want it back."
He swung the sock, missing the spawn as it dodged, using that crazy speed it possessed.
"Oi, running away? GET YOUR a** BACK HERE."
A icy wind filled the area, causing not only himself, but the spawn to shiver to.
"Hey, what gives?"
The wolf thing began to attack, snapping at the spawn's legs while the bloody thing attempted to evade it while dealing with the sudden change in temperature.
"Hey, careful what your biting there! My dagger is in there somewhere! That thing is actually important to me and I would appreciate it if you didn't leave any bite marks on it. Thanks in advance!."
He hung back this time. Like hell he was going to interfere with a giant wolf summons battle with a spawn. He only wished he had popcorn or some treat like that right now...

Mother <******** that was cold! Even though she knew that she had been the one to request the cold, it was more than what she expected. She blinked away small bits of frost from her eyes, looking up to see that it was the summon's doing.
"Silver! Keep control on that damn thing!" Blade had meant make it colder, but she didn't want any ice or frost to get on the ground! That eliminated the damn purpose of keeping the spawn inside of the circle, where it was supposed to be dry. Now the spawn would have an easier time sucking blood back into itself through the ground. Blade hissed, clamping her lips back over her teeth a second later before they grew unbearable cold. She spared Leon a glance, the bottom of her eye twitching. '' Even when it was half-frozen the water spawn still moved fast, and its body was actually solid. Problem was was that it had the ability to liquefy parts of itself. She could guess that this was his first time against the water spawn- then again, this was probably everyone's first time against it. (Save for her and Grenth.) She was beginning to regret not sharing information about it on the trip. The spawn wasn't supposed to show up here, but she was a damn spawn hunter and knew to expect the unexpected.
The spawn itself moved about, using its long legs to skate across the ice like some kind of a professional. Even though Blade knew that it tended to stay away from the cold, to her it looked as if it spent a lot of time ice skating... and.... '' clearing her mind she made a second long prayer before beginning to concentrate. Her shadow seemed to darken for a moment and then, as the summon came closer to the skating spawn, pitch-black hands shot up from the frost bitten ground. Their dark fingers spread out, reaching to grab the spawn's spider-like legs. However, without even seeming to pay attention to the hands the spawn passed strait through them. '' Blade thought to herself before charging herself with more dark magic. '' That was the only thought, or at least feeling, that she had before her skin grew paler and her pupils fully dilated. What seemed to be smoke began to dance on her, her shadow flickering oddly despite the fact that the light was not moving. The hands appeared once again, larger and even darker. They flew out, most of the hands missing thanks to the spawn's fancy foot work and weaving. And then- by the grace of someone Blade did not know- one of the hands managed to snatch onto one of the legs. In the small window of opportunity that announced itself more hands and tentacles grabbed the leg and with a loud, resounding crack, snapped it strait off just as Silver's summon bite down on another leg. Blade's eyes went wide and the sensations of pain that were starting to ripple throughout her body were miraculously ignored.
" Evaporate the leg and blood and- "

"Falconer, don't worry, I'll get your knife back. Don't worry so much!" Leon yelled as he caught the view from Blade. It was surprising, and was even more shocked that she didn't fall or even show signs of pain. "s**t" he mumbled to himself as he sprinted forward, swinging his rock-cloak with considerable speed. He skidded downward on the ice expertly as he finally swung at another of the spawn's legs, hoping that the removal of the other one would slow it down. If this connected, the leg would probably be ripped off. At this time, Leon was incredibly glad that he wasn't affected by cold almost at all, though he could feel the sudden drop in temperature. As he reached the blood spill he slammed his arm with the root into the ground which then attached itself to the ice instead of him. Within a second it had absorbed all of the water and was stretching into the spawn's severed leg. In that second, Leon grew another root on his arm. His own energy levels were shrinking in order to keep these things alive in this cold, but it was worth it. If it saved these people and got rid of a spawn, then it was worth it.

Doina had done her best in the battle. Blade had directed her in casting protection and enhancement spells. She tried her hand at the protection spells, most of them on the spell casters that hung in the back. She didn’t know how much her spells would slow down the others and since they were at the front lines she knew that their speed was needed. She casted a protection spell on the kid, Falconer, though, she would reflect later on, it wouldn’t do very much if he ran right up to the monster and was attacked.
There wasn’t much of an effect on the spawn and Blade gave the order to Seraphis make it colder and told her to enhance his powers. Doina was set to do that when Silver’s summon went ahead and drove the temperature down, rapidly. Her body shivered and she felt the power of her spells dropping a bit in his discomfort. She focused on channeling energy into spells and tried to ignore the cold, even though she could feel herself shiver from the cold.
But it seemed that they were finally getting a break, as Blade’s and Silver’s summon’s attack broke one leg and injured another of the spawn’s legs. The monster had let out a cry and its blood splattered around it as its legs lay away from it, twitching.
Blade yelled for them to attack and Doina pulled back most of the power she used in protection spells to use it for her next spell. Blade advised them not to use fire spells on the Water Spawn itself, but with on its limbs that were cut off, it might be okay.
‘I really hope so.’ the elf thought before summoning her strongest fire spell.
The flame burned blue in her hand and she kept it in her palm, channeling her energy to make it grow. Once it was a good size she shoot it over towards the broken leg. She first surrounded it in her flame, making sure to enclose all the blood that pooled out of it. She then finally directed her fire to set the limb a flame.

Silver couldn't help wincing when Blade yelled at her. "I'm sorry..." she whispered weakly, "I can't really control it once I've summoned it..." The after effect of summoning this creature was going to be bad, she could tell. She was already beginning to tire, which wasn't a good sign. Please, hurry... she thought desperately.
He had been here too long. His fili was not strong enough to withstand him staying much longer. Yanking hard on the leg in his mouth to hopefully rip the gap open further and deeper wound this spawn, he released it long enough to adjust his position to leap on the creature's back, spreading his fangs to sink them into the back of its neck and immobilize it...he hoped. This monster was harder to defeat than anything he had ever faced.

Seraphis had been about to follow Blade's orders when Silver's summon saved him the trouble. He shivered violently, but breathed a small sigh of relief at that. It would take a lot of his energy to maintain an effect like that. He continued with his chosen strategy, trying to keep the Water Spawn as cold as possible. Everyone else was doing their part. Everything seemed to be going as well as he had expected, however, it just didn't seem to be enough... He heard Silver's weak whisper and glanced back at her momentarily. Worry crossed his features as he noticed that the maintenance of the summon was obviously taking a steep toll on her. He needed to find a way to end this quickly. He turned back to the action and saw that the spawn was being held... That was it! The spawn's main advantage over them was its mobility! If he could immobilize it... He knew just the spell. The Stone Cage. If Blade's tendrils and Silver's summon could hold it until he could finish his spell, he could trap it (or, at least, skewer it). He began the hand gestures, raising his energy once again.
"Ignok Malaran Water Spawn!" Seraphis shouted, hand extending toward the Water Spawn. Seraphis watched in anticipation as the ground around the spawn shook and the sharp stone spires began to shoot up on all sides of the spawn.
((Did I get it?! 4laugh ))

Blade knew that this was too good to be true- something else had to happen! Never, in all of the experience that she had in fighting spawn, had she seen one take so much damage. Could it be, that...? She ignored her thoughts, focusing her power on the spawn itself. The shadows in the premises twisted and bent, as if trying to rip themselves out into the light. The leg was that had been torn off began to dissolve and move back to its owner, only to be disintegrated by Doina's fire spell. The water spawn screeched, loud enough for Blade's ear drums to vibrate and cause her to go deaf for a few seconds. However, even as the water spawn moved to skid across the ground, stone spikes suddenly shot out from the earthen ground. It was caught, however, Blade knew that that dirt would do little to keep it trapped for more than a few seconds.
'{Alright then.}'
'{Let us?}'
'{Just try not to kill me. I'd appreciate it.}'
Blade stabbed her sword into the ground in front of her and closed her eyes. Claws of ebony crept out from her shadow, nibbling idly at her heels before shivering over her skin and moving up the rest of her body. She tilted her chin upwards just as the black reached her neck, moving past it and over her face. Her skin was now pure black, as if she had born in the far southern plains that laid in the continent just below Pangaea, separated only by the sea. Then the black on her skin shuddered, black magic curling off from her body in a dark, barely shimmering smoke. The dress she was wearing shifted around her, guided about by an invisible breeze. Her eyes, now open and only her pupil showing, locked onto the water spawn. Now her skin was a pure pitch-black, making her look more like some sort of an entity than a human. Her feet floated just barely above the ground, a symbol forming through the frost underneath her. Blade took in a deep breath and then released it, mucky fog shooting out from between her lips. The fog shot over to the water spawn, twisting around before a barely visible form appeared in the middle of the fog. It lifted up what looked like an arm and then slammed it down, the misty aura surrounding it following its movements and smashing into the water spawn. It wasn't enough to kill it, Blade knew that, but it sure as hell would do something... or at least she hoped it would....
Just before the black hand came down on the beast the spawn's legs curled up like a dead spider, beady eyes flickering over to the magical-casting group not too far away. Water appeared out of no where and hurled out like massive whips just as the shadow hand fell upon it, crashing into the surrounding houses and buildings.
"Use everything!" Blade ordered as loudly as she could, her voice echoing unusually. She ducked down just as a wall of water soared above her, droplets stinging at her skin. She moved to get up but stopped, remaining in her crouched position as her eerily empty eyes stared out at what was happening in front of her. Now... it wasn't just a quest to kill the water spawn, they had to do it- Blade didn't know how sturdy that church was. And, unless this town had some sort of extreme protection spells that could fend off the water spawn's current attack that was turning the area around them into rubble... Blade didn't want to see a place so beautiful as this destroyed. She'd seen it too many times. They had to kill it now- for the people that lived here.
{{Hope that keeps ya'll busy....}}

(Oh for ********, I'LL TYPE SOMETHING, since everyone else is so bloody busy! For Pony.)
(The following is written to the tune of Jesse McCartney's Leaving)
All the magic everyone was using normally would have pissed him off. However, this particular situation was different as they were basically going up against the monster equivalent of a...
"Great death bringing apparatus?"
...yeah.
The Leader was getting darker and darker now. He recalled the last time she had done something like this, with all the shadows in the form of tentacles...and other creepy sexual-
No, bad Thief boy, bad!
Fighting down the urge to swear about magic for the 500th time, he focused his potty mouth on other things...
Such as the bitching cold.
It was a water spawn! He had seen water freeze before. Made it a lot harder for him to fish, but still in temperatures like this he was shocked the damn thing didn't just roll over and die.
"But of course, that would be too easy..."
Glancing around, he could see everyone starting to run low on energy. Not surprising, they'd be running around for Gods' knows how long firing summons and spells at it...
Use everything
"Bwah?" he cried, noticing the odd echoing over her voice and they fact that she was darker than...dark stuff. He mentally complained his lack of comparisons just as the water began smashing into everything.
"OH ******** ME-" he shouted angrily, smacking his Sock Rock into the water as he was carried away by it.
"MAGES! EVERY SINGLE BLOODY ******** MAGE IN THE ******** VICINITY! FREEZING SPELLS! NOW! BEFORE THE WATER BREAKS SOMETHING APART FROM MY BONES!" he shouted angrily, being dragged away further and further away.
"Fuuuuuuck..."

It seemed as if, for a moment, that there was the possibility that they all might make it out of the battle alive. The spawn was screaming, although Blade wasn't sure if it was out of irritation or out of pain, as Silver's summon's teeth sank into its neck. She took in a deep breath, trying to focus her energy in the case of another possible attack. And then... a scream.
'
She didn't want to move- she really shouldn't at all. All of the people who had weapons and could fend for themselves had moved off to face against the spawn. She couldn't move, even as the kid was being carried off by a wave of water. He was lucky that he hadn't died when the wave had crashed into him, but if he wasn't plucked out soon he was going to die. Blade forced herself up onto her feet, stretching an arm out. Black vines whipped out, transforming into a massive hand. The hand opened itself out and messily tried to grab onto the boy. But the body of water was moving too fast and ripped through her shadow arm. Blade gritted her teeth in pain, flinching before she forced my energy through her arm and into the extension she'd created. Hopefully the kid would have enough sense to grab onto the shadow, else he'd most likely be smashed.
"Grab it you stupid-" she cut herself off, reminding herself that now was not the time to be screaming insults at her teammates. Or burden, whatever fit better. Blade's senses flickered back over to the spawn and her surroundings, ducking down again as she realized that another powerful arm of water just few inches away from her head. The veil she had clipped to her hair was ripped out, leaving her body in curling black smoke and vanishing into the liquid.

Her attack had actually hit! Doina didn’t have time to be shocked as the Water Spawn kept coming at them. Silver’s summon charged once more and Seraphris’s spell trapped the spawn in its spikes of earth. As the creature screeched, Doina let out her own scream as the noise attacked her too sensitive ears. She slammed her hands over her large ears, her nails digging into the side of her face. Gods…that noise was horrible, along with the fatigue and fear she was feeling she felt a huge headache developing.
But the spawn was still standing! After all the damage it took it was still going strong. Everyone looked exhausted and ready to drop. They had to end this fight now. Blade suddenly stabbed her sword into the ground and that’s when the really freaky stuff happened. She began to be enveloped in her shadows, her skin was the color of opals. Suddenly the shadows began to crawl off her, like smoke. To Doina, Blade looked frightening. She was like some dark creature, oozing poisonous haze that would seep into her lungs and shrivel them up.
But despite how ‘evil’ Blade looked, her shadows aided in the fight against the spawn, slamming into the creature. But the Spawn had its own attack before Blade’s hit, waves of water struck everywhere, crashing into buildings. Doina put up a shield around the group, hoping it would hold out long enough against the waves of water. But it appeared that she didn’t put it up long enough for Falconer was washed away, luckily Blade was there to save him.
That was it, this had to end before they and the rest of Silver’s village was washed away. Doina didn’t have enough energy to make another fire spell, or an ice one. But looking at the spikes of earth caused by Seraphris’s spell she got an idea. Using her last bit of energy she crafted the remaining spikes into one large one. Her arms shook with the strain of using her magic to lift it off the ground. She searched for the place that Blade’s last attack had hit the Water Spawn at, it would be the place with the most damage. Finding it she directed the spike to slam into that exact spot.

Snarling around the flesh of the water spawn in his mouth, his eyes seemed to glow ever brighter. If someone was listening closely, they would hear him speak in the ancient language, "Saria'varu." The air seemed to get even colder, and the strong winds of the mountains came down. Carried on the powerful gales were shards of ice, sharp as daggers. They avoided the companions of his fili, and came towards him and the beast he held in his jaws. They passed right through him, instead launching themselves into the flesh of the spawn, even as the arctic air he summoned began to freeze and shatter the blood of the spawn.
Silver wavered on her feet. She didn't have much time left. Her eyes darted around slightly, and she saw that many of the elves who had stayed at home that night were opening their windows. Those who knew magic were casting freeze spells, obviously trying to defend their village from this monster. Unable to help it, a soft breath of relief left her. "Please... Let this finish soon..." she whispered.

To say Falconer was surprised was an understatement.
"HOLY FREAKING 5 GODS!" he cried, before submerging briefly and swallowing a bit of water. Where the bloody hell was all this water coming from? Possibly the water spawn had a link to an alternate dimension that was simply full of water?
"Its probably a magic thing..." he coughed out, just as the large black hand of DOOM came towards him and attempted to...pluck him out of the water?
"Pluck?"
The rapidly moving waters however proved to much for the poor DOOM bringer, and as he quickly drifted away, he watched-with no real concern about his own situation- as The Leader gritted her teeth and summoned another DOOM bringer.
Clumsily reaching for it, he was lifted briefly out of the air...
...just in time to hear the beautiful sound of the spawn screaming in pain as a massive spike smashed into the spawn.
"That was disturbingly sexual..."
He sneezed as the combined power of the...wolf thing and the citizens of the Elven town combined their ice magic proness together to attempt to freeze the damn water.
"Nice timing!"
The water of course, would have none of this and attempted to assault the Leader, ripping off something she had clipped to her hair...
"This can't end well for me." He claimed dryly. "Or the Leader lady."
The shadow hand of DOOM flickered out of existence as the Leader focused on more pressing issues (Such as the assaulting water) and he was left to fall back into the slowly freezing water.
"Joy."

{{Be wary about how much you say you do to the spawn, Eva and Mental. I know that I sound like a b***h by bothering you so much about it, but the Tidal role play has closed before due to someone controlling the spawn.
Also, the giant water typhoon thingies are like... destroying houses, so there's going to be a lot of debris. =3=
Also, I edited my post. xD}}
As the chilled air rippled through it the water spawn struggled, legs flailing wildly. The ice shards stabbed into the protective armor but did not break it, only serving to create more cracks. Then, Doina's spire came crashing down. All of the damage that the spawn had taken around its protective core was shattered- it sounded almost like glass. The pointed front of it stabbed strait through and a high-pitched, almost female-like scream ripped through the air. Blade herself was still focused on trying to catch the kid, up until the arms of water suddenly died, leaving Falconer to a possibly messy fall. The spawn's legs flailed wildly before it suddenly went limp. Blade watched, eyes wide, as it twitched, eyes rolling around before locking onto her. The giant arm of black she'd created faded away, falling to the earth and draining itself through the dirt. The spawn remained unmoving, eyes still staring at her.
"<...Good-bye.>" Feritae whispered, blinking slowly before the spawn's head went limp. Its entire body began to crack, legs shriveling up. Then the body broke apart by the cracks before melting and fading away into the earth. Mist rose up from the spot where it had been, swirling around before it drifted off. Blade stepped over to where the mist was heading before she turned to look at Silver. They had just won. They had just ******** won and done what had been considered the impossible- they had killed the water spawn! But Blade felt no victory, instead, the hollow hole that had building up inside of her heart seemed to take another bite and make a larger hole to bleed through. "" Her voice drew off as the sound of beating wings drew her attention. Big wings. Blade's eyes moved slowly, almost unwillingly, as an alarm sounded off inside of her head. The sound of clicking talons seemed to be amplified and she turned in the direction of where it was coming from. There was a bird. Giant, beautiful, and absolutely majestic.
It was the wind spawn.
Its wings ruffled and it cocked its head at the warriors, chirping at them. Blade knew that she was going to die. She'd just used up all of her energy, they'd all almost died and-
...It flew away...?
Blade let out a squeak as it disappeared, both of fear and happiness that she'd somehow not just died. And then, without warning, her hand flew up to her mouth, but not in time to prevent blood from spewing out. She averted her head, blood spilling out from between her lips. She gasped and fell to her knees, clutching her chest while crimson dripped out from the corners of her mouth. She kept her head bent down and struggled to breathe, feeling the shadows that were clinging to her body tighten, refusing to let her draw breath. She choked, holding her neck and shutting her eyes while she desperately tried to claw the black off. Finally, just as her world began to turn black, they let go. Pain scorched through every inch of her body and she could feel the black magic beginning to slide off of her skin. Invisible knives and claws dragged down through the black painfully, splitting parts of her skin open. After what seemed like an eternity it drew away, sinking into the symbol that had formed beneath her and then fading away like a shadow scared off by the light. The arm that she'd channeled the dark magic through was scratched, ripped, and some of the pieces of her skin were hanging off from the muscle as if she were a half-skinned deer.
'' Blade's vision blurred and she hit the ground, her arms and legs suddenly too weak to support the rest of her body weight. A pool of blood began to form underneath her, pain tearing through her body like iron-hot needles. Her insides felt like they were being squeezed and then ripped out, thin nails screeching on her bones. Tears leaked from her eyes and she let out a gurgled shriek of pain, beginning to burn like paper being presented to a flame wherever light brushed gently across her skin.
