KTweirdchick Meh,
in highschool,
I had a tendancy to get along with most of the kids from contries in Asia..
I had one friend Tina...
she cracked me up...
becuase she was so shy
and SO consious of the healthyness of the food she was eating...
but she would make fun of my white-ness
we had lots of fun
I belive she's Taiwanese(sp?)
or at least her mom is, I don't know what her dad is, I never met him...
I think her parents were divorced...
(Come to think of it...I can't believe I've never asked her...)

But I used to love listening to her talk to her mom on the phone,
Her mom doesn't speak english very well,
so she always talked to her in (I think it was) Mandirin...
and she taught me a few words and phrases...

Geh. That reminds me I need to learn Tagalog. Half my family is Filipino. And the ones who live in the Philippines don't like to speak English gonk stare

I just did a cultural project in my geography class. It was awesome just seeing everbody's different heritage. I had to make a family tree but my parents weren't very helpful with that. They kept changing the family history! But it was fun and (though I will never admit as much to my Geography teacher) I learned a lot about my family from this.
