Remus, sensing the movement to his left, looked over at Wendy while fighting a smile. "Are you okay over there? You look like you're having a spasm of some sort."

Wendy turned bright red. "So what, I can't shift in my seat? Maybe I was uncomfortable." Curse you, Fangirl Wendy! Learn to compose yourself in public!

Remus's eyebrows rose up mildly as he felt his face heat slightly. Okay, someone gets offended easily... "Sorry, I just waned to make sure you weren't having a seizure or something," he said with a nonchalant shrug.

Wendy giggled. "Sorry. Yes, I'm fine, thank you Remus." She blushed slightly, but her smile stayed on.

Remus grinned, glad he hadn't made her angry. "Okay. Erm...if you do have a seizure...lemme know, I suppose..." Oh that was clever, Lupin, really; you should get a prize for that snappy comeback! Remus internally slapped himself.

Sirius grinned and clasped his hands in his lap. A Zeppelin song popped in his head and he made a mental effort to banish it.

Wendy snorted laughter; it appeared that Remus had reached his wit's end, at least for now. She gave him a little salute. "Sure thing, Cap'n," she said.

Quite exhausted from all of the witty banter between himself, Padfoot, and Wendy, Remus yawned and stretched and leaned against the window, ready to take a little breather.

"Here he goes," Sirius said to Wendy. "He's pulling a 'Moony'."

Wendy glanced at Remus before returning her gaze to Sirius. "What? Gonna go to sleep?" she asked, not thinking she'd be correct.

"Almost... It's the 'act of going to sleep on a train'," Sirius recited proudly - after all, he was the one that came up with it.

Wendy went faintly pink as she said, "I fell asleep the first few times on the train, actually. Until I got friends to keep me up." You mean "so-called friends," her brain ammended, but she shoved the thought away.

Remus opened his eyes, about to make some snappy retort at Sirius, until he heard Wendy. His expression softened. "My first year, before I met these blokes, I rode the train by myself. I mean, yeah, a few hours later Lily and I made friends, but I was too shy to even talk to these three crazies. And, even with mates to keep me up, I still fall into a several-hour-long coma." He shrugged with a crooked smile on his face.

Remus returned Wendy's grin full-on. "Definitely. You should be a career counselor, Wendy!"
