Dot//sign is the best internet based adventure anime. Megaman was better as a simple robot with a connon on his arm.

Not saying megaman is bad, but he just wasn't ment ofr digital envirments. He nneded the astro boy style, being a robot.

Yeah true, though I actually prefer the look of battle network/starforce megaman to the old ones.

Between .hack and Megaman? Megaman all of the way, seriously. I mean, .hack? Really now? Sign is much better than the others, filled with atmosphere is well-executed. However, it has WAY too much dialogue and cannot be fully understood and appreciated without watching the other chapters of the .hack franchise. And if you have the patience to deal with .hack//roots, God love you. Oh, and did I mention that it fails to deliver on the ending? Otherwise, good anime, like I said PACKED in atmosphere and the music isn't bad either.
But Lain and Perfect Blue are the BEST internet-based shows. Don't hate.

Megaman originally was an Astroboy style anime. I used to watch it back in the 80s. Before the .exe or virus busting.
Perfect Blue would be my favorite "net based anime" though. wink

It is.
Course, though not really an Internets based Anime I also like Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. Sorta got lumped in there since a lot of the episodes are based off games, internet gaming, anime, etc. wink

Oh, it's definately neat. wink Two kids that keep "world jumping" from place to place. However each place still has the same "People". Papan, Grandfather, Mune Mune, the sister, etc, all playing different characters.
First "World" was a Fantasy RPG style world. Next was a Sci-Fi World, etc.
Though the fan favorite out of my friends was the "High school dating sim world". xP
