Nodding lightly to Amuriel, Maelthra held her close with a soft sigh. He had a feeling that his words had unsettled her greatly, but he had to tell her sooner or later. Still, he couldn't help but feel that he just made things much worse for her.

"Don't worry love... everything will be alright... ok? And I'm sure we'll have beautiful pups..."

He kissed her tenderly on the head before continuing to embrace her. For a moment, he thought back on his encounter with Mornandum. It was unsettling, but, he just hoped that whatever happened there, that it wouldn't happen again. Or if it did, he hoped he would be far away from Amuriel when it does happen.

I hope I don't turn out to be the monster everyone had saw me to be...

"I don't know... but I know they'll look wonderful like their mother..." he said with a soft smile, "I wonder if they'll be gifted with flight like me... and if their domain will be more like yours or mine?"

Maelthra tilted his head at the thought, curious to how their children will be exactly. And while he was far from being an expert on the matter, he guessed by the looks of his mate's belly, that there were more than one or two children running around the cave in the coming months.

Shaking his head lightly to himself, he kissed Amuriel while thinking about the question.

"Hm... well I wouldn't mind relaxing today... Though I'll probably do some training a little later... I don't want you to get too exherted so..."

He drifted off some as he tried to think of more possibilities.

"Or maybe forget training and I'll just pamper you throughout the day? You look like you can use some stress relief..."

Maelthra smiled softly and chuckled as he placed his held her hands gently.

"Oh.. but I want to make sure you're well and such... but if you really don't want me to today then you can rest in the warm waters... I think I have enough grasp of my powers now where I can somewhat avert any stray fireballs..."

He tilted his head slightly as she mentioned him being fireproof, which was followed by a shudder. It was a wonder of what it was that caused that shudder, but for now he thought better than to ask. Amuriel had been through enough right now and he didn't want to stress her further.

"Though... if you need anything while I train, just shout out. I might be training, but I want to treat you as well.. And tomorrow I'm going to full-out pamper you."

Grinning, the elder nuzzled her softly before bringing a hand up to caress her face.

"Don't worry love..."

Smiling, he gently nuzzled her again before thinking. Maelthra didn't feel quite ready to get up and train right away, so relaxing a little longer with his mate sounded very nice.

"I think I would like to relax with you in the water... I think I'll be doing some sword training today along with the fire, so I'll definitely need to make sure my muscles are loose.."

Nodding at the idea, he glanced over at the warmest areas of the lake that they lived by. It was a nice little shallow area where they could relax about together.

"Shall we get ready then?"

For a moment or two, Maelthra watched his lover as she entered the water before smiling and nodding.

"Of course I am."

Grinning, he removed his clothes to keep them dry, then stepped into the water with her. To him, the water was a little cool, but it was good enough for him. It took him a second to get used to being in the water, and once that happened he made his way closer to Amuriel to gently embrace her. After a gentle kiss, he let go so that he could lean against the smooth rocky wall as well.

"The water feels nice... at least I think so. How do you like it?"

With a smile, he rested against the stone wall and watched Amuriel relax as well. It was nice to see her more calmed now, though had to wonder how long that was going to last. Maelthra was certain that what he had told her would linger with her for some time... He just hoped that it won't stress her too much.

"A nap sounds pretty nice. Though I hope I don't make too much noise while training later..." he said with a light chuckle.

Though as he watched her, he tilted his head, wondering just how much more relaxed she was at the moment.

"How are you feeling now by the way? You're not feeling too sick are you...?"

"I'm glad to hear that, and I'm feeling pretty well."

Smiling, Maelthra stretched out and watched her. He almost felt ready to begin training but he wanted to stay with her a little longer. In the back of his mind, he felt some concern about everything that was going on, but for now he decided not to brood on it as he was going to need to be fairly clear-minded for when he began training.

Being distracted with worries will just make him have a bigger chance of messing something up as he trained. So it was best to hold off on those concerns until afterwards in the least.

So a little later, he gave Amuriel a light kiss along with nuzzling her.

"I'm gonna start training now, you keep on relaxing alright?" he said while watching her rest in the water.

With a gentle smile, he carefully stepped out onto the land and dried himself some before putting his clothing back on. Since he was going to work with his swordsmenship, he needed to stay in his elven form. The elder closed his eyes momentarily and took in several deep breaths before drawing out the weapon and getting into a loose stance.

After a few seconds went by, he felt prepared to begin. And with a shout, he lunged forward and slashed at the air at a diagonal, which was quickly followed by a horizontal strike.

For some time, Maelthra continued to move about, swinging his weapon around. But it didn't seem like random hap-hazard attacking. Instead it had a particular grace about it that almost made it seem like some odd dance. Every now and then, he would ignite the blade of his sword on fire, adding to the strange gracefulness of his training.

This time around, he managed to do everything virtually flawless. Though overall, his number of mistakes had dwindled over time. Still, once he perfected one thing, it only meant that he needed to work harder to try and increase his skills further.

The elder finished it off by stabbing the sword into the ground and distinguishing the flames. Letting out a deep breath, he looked about before relaxing and leaning against his weapon a bit. It was still an exherting task to train so vigorously, so he needed a few moments to recuperate. Once he had caught his breath more or less, he straightened up and fixed his pony tail before looking over towards Amuriel.
