Kay drops her gaze and says, "Thanks, Tsurugi..."
Suddenly, an Ogremon that had been listening earlier grabs her and takes her into a nearby tree, saying, "Ooh, what a pretty maiden I've found here!"
Kay screams while Veemon yells, "KAY!"
Suddenly, Kay's digivice glows and shoots a beam of bright light onto Veemon. He is completely veiled by the light for a few seconds, before a whole new digimon comes out. He has wings and looks almost humanoid... Just like an angel.
The new digimon flies up and yells "Hand of Fate!" Before a bunch of energy gathers in his fist and shoots off to the Ogremon and knocking him out completely.
Kay jumps out of the tree and stares at what has become of Veemon, saying absolutely nothing.

Tsurugi stares for a moment, then smiles. "Sooo, our little Veemon has suddenly become an Angemon, eh?"

"I guess so..." Angemon says.
Kay's jaw dropped now. "Your lisp is gone now!"
"Wow! It seems like it!" He says happily. He does a few airborne flips and lands back down.

"Nekome's gonna have a fit...Are you stuck like that forever, Angemon?" Tsurugi asked while poking his wing.

"I don't know..." He says before he's enveloped in another light and changes back to Veemon. "Oh, come ON!" He says angrily.

"You're not in battle right now, so it'll come back when we need it. Besides, you" Tsurugi said, poking him on the chest gently, "need to talk to Nekome...Now. She's asleep and is a very light sleeper. But when I woke up, she was still out. So go talk to her, and confess your feelings before it becomes worse."

Veemon looks like he is about to argue, when he looses his usual spunk and says, "Alright, I'll go now..." He then runs up into the hotel and up to the room. He opens the door and quiwtly said, "Nekome? If you're not too busy, can we talk? I need to shay shomething to you..."
Kay watches Veemon run inside and says, "Wow, that was pretty noble of both of you. Are the stars in conjunction with whatever, or is this normal for you?" She says the last part with a joking smile.

Nekome opened one of her eyes and stretched. "Yeah Veemon? I'm still tired, probably from digivolving..." she said, a large yawn escaping her.
Tsurugi sweatdropped. "You have no idea how normal this is..." he said, remembering all of the times Nekome, back then Teppou, had hassled him.

Veemon looks down at his feet and mumbles, "I'm shorry if I offended you earlier. The truth is..." He gulps, his face turning redder than ever, "I really kinda like you..."
Kay chuckles a bit and says, "Well whatever it is, it was nice. Though, Veemon could really mess this up alone. I hope he doesn't freak Nekome out or anything, or Sora and I will never hear the end of it."

Nekome didn't respond at first, slightly confused by what he meant. Her eyes widened as she realized what he meant, then she did something that she never thought she'd do. She stood next to him, and kissed him on the cheek. "You're so cute when your face is red." she said with a grin as she pinched his cheek.
Tsurugi smiled slightly, then yawned. "I'm tired...Should we head back to the inn? We can hit the baths, not together of course, and then do whatever we want!"

Veemon smiles and hugs her, but can't find any words to say.
"Alright!" Kay says before she too yawns. The sun was getting lower in the sky, and she decided to match her hair with the pink hue of the clouds just above the horizon.

Nekome smiled and returned the hug, just standing there and enjoying the moment.
Tsurugi smiled and hugged her, then let go and sprinted towards the hotel. "Last one there's a rotten egg!" he yelled with a laugh as he ran.

"Oh you cheater!" Kay yells smiling before she goes sprinting herself. Her hair seems to melt into a bright red color with a single red racing stripe. She was always about three feet behind Tsurugi because any closer and she'd laugh and stumble back.

Tsurugi laughed as he kept running, then he suddenly stopped and turned around. He opened his arms wide to catch Kay in a hug. His cheeks were red because he was blushing slightly.

Kay yelps a bit from being startled, but quickly gets into returning the hug. This was so great, almost like a dream.
Veemon finally ends the hug, blushing slightly.
