The man grew tired of the conversation. Nothing but a bunch of lovey dovey nothingness. However, that Raoul was becoming increasingly aggrivating, but no matter. There were incantations in his arsenal that could easily solve that little problem.
He suddenly felt like being risky. The man emerged from his hiding place, to appear as though he, a guest, was casually walking about the garden outside, and enjoying the scenery. The Tear of Abel was active... he was safe.

Namine looked past Victor as she was laughing. Movement had caught her eye. She didn't know if someone had been watching or if there were other guests out here as well. She assumed it must be the latter.
Suddenly someone emerged from the brush. He looked to be a guest and she eyed him as he walked. He must be taking a stroll, Nothing to worry about, she thought. Events of the night had her on edge so that many things caught her attention and made her suspicious. She wondered if Victor had noticed the man as well, but she didn't take her eyes off him. She continued to watch his movements.

The man felt the girl's eyes upon him. Not just a glance, but a stare. She was completely focused upon him. Events were finally being set into motion. The Tear of Abel would protect him and was prepared for an attack, should the krusnik or her puppet discover his identity. Until then, he would continue this petty charade.

Alsvid smiled at Skyler's words. "I can't help but worry about you. I love you too." He kissed her softly on her forehead then her lips. "I wonder how much longer we have left together. I must leave before the sun rises but I want to be with you forever my love."

Skyler smiled and took a breath. "Ok." She laughed a little as she said that. She frowned alittle as she was reminded of that time that must come. "We will find away." She began to think. "I can come back at night or maybe i can give up the sunlight." She said, know how much she would give up just to stay by his side.

"Every night when I rise, I will find you. But... I don't want you to ever have to see me feed, I'm frightened you will just think of me as a monster." Alsvid grew sad and took both Skyler's hands in his own. "I love you, it would kill me if you were to ever fear what I am." He finally felt good, he didn't feel like the monster the way he used to. Kissing both hands in turn, he looked up. "I love you."

"Your no monster. It's what you must do to live." Skyler said as she smiled. "Now smile, because I will not fear you." Skyler sat up after he kissed her hands. "I love you, as well, Alsvid."

Alexander's eyes drifted from his wine glass and up to the second floor for a moment, feeling that strange pulse of energy that appeared only for a split second then disappeared as quickly as it came. He stood up and set down his glass as he began to make his way toward the stairs and toward the point of origin of that burst of power. The dancing crowds seemed to part before him like blades of grass as he passed by. He delved into his mind and began searching for the source of that burst. Most minds were open as a book and flipping through their pages he found nothing of interest. However, some seemed to resist, one even began to retaliate, severing the tie between them and bringing him to a wide-eyed stop. Hmm... This might be more entertaining than I thought. He shook his head and chuckled then made his way to the room where the pulse had originated. Empty. He presumed as much. That little krusnik must have pitched a fit. Something calmed her though... Alexander shrugged and decided to remain in the room a bit longer. Gazing out the balcony into the dead of night.

((I think the holidays is most everyone's excuse, and I've been waiting on other people to post so that the story doesn't fully focus on just us... though nobody has so whatever. But I've just been busy in school. Barely have enough time to make this post today.))
Victor followed behind Namine, shadowing her every step and mirroring her every move. It hardly struck him as odd as to how this guardian-like persona was second nature to him now that he had become her chevailer. He viewed her gaze towards the man who had slipped off into the garden. A young one by the looks of his build and overall appearance. But something about him was familiar to Victor. Then he saw it. A small golden cross embedded with a ruby in the center that flung in the air as he turned momentarily. The Tear of Abel. A vampire hunter. Victor chuckled to himself, drawing a curious look from Namine. "It's nothing, love." "I know you better than that." Victor smiled at her. "The man you just saw was of my order. I could not recognize his face, but he is most certainly a hunter." Namine sighed and glanced to where the man had departed. With a caring hand on her shoulder, Victor kissed her softly on the cheek. "The irony of having to defend a vampire against my own order is astoundingly rich. However, for you, love, I'd do it until the end of time."
Alexander grew bored while waiting around in the alcove, with a huff, he spun about and returned to the main hall. The crowds were still gathered and the music still played, but an air of foreboding wrath seemed to permeate the halls. That was of his own doing. The vampire lord's patience was wearing thin. If nothing happens soon, I believe the hunter will have to become the hunted...

Namine looked away from the departing young man to gaze upon Victor. She thought nothing could surprise her after all that had happened on this night. Unfortunately, they would now have to deal with three possible threats. The elder vampire Alexander, Raoul, and now someone from Victor's order. She sighed and held his hand reassuringly. "Darling I think I will be more trouble to you than I am worth. Im most certain that if he recognizes you as the once proud vampire slayer you were, not only will I be in danger for turning you, but he will also attempt to kill you." She turned fully to embrace him running her hands across his handsomely chiseled face. He brought her a gift she never thought she would possess. "I couldn't bare to lose you now Victor. We are tied to each other in a bond so strong that cannot be easily broken. I refuse to let you slip away because of the ignorance of others." Namine wondered exactly how they would make it out of this ball tonight. She was sure they would be attacked when the moment presented itself. She would not give in so easily though, because she now had someone who would support her and be that stalwart wall she could lean on if needed. She was no longer alone...she had her love and heart, Victor.
Namine released all the tension she was feeling at the obstacles that had presented themselves. There was nothing that could be done about it now. They couldn't after all hide all night and so taking Victor's hand she led them both back into the ball. She wanted to enjoy the company of her love and dance once more in his arms. She wanted to make memories that would last her a lifetime. Another thought crept into her head.....the charming woman she had met. She could be in danger just for associating with her. She knew that somehow she would have to protect her...keep her out of harms way, but how to do so? Could she reveal who she was to her? Namine was unsure and thought maybe the best option would be to stay away from her completely.
