Well, I am not dead, life just hit me pretty hard.
From new job, to marriage, to other things I wish not to talk about... sad
But now I am back, with a nicer, pregnant Wind. (Nope, the woman doesn't stop breeding. =P )

New member. ^^ No one else has posted for a while, it seems, but this looks like the best way to introduce myself.
Ich heisse Kayleigh. Which is German for I am called General Pajama pants. ^^
Aside from my craziness, I'm not really interested in saying what I look like, since it's honestly not all that interesting, so I'll just post some general info about my likes and dislikes and s**t like that. <3 I'm sure you're all very excited.
I like: Both genders, hugs, my friends, video games (Tales of Symphonia, Super Mario Sunshine, et cetera) writing s**t, singing s**t, drawing s**t, being in a good mood.
I dislike: Most guys I meet in person, people who touch me in any way shape or form without my permission, being in a bad mood, getting yelled at.

I actually bought Tales of the Abyss I believe last month. Havent been playing it lately cause of school. Keep hearing people say Abyss is better or that Symphonia is better what are your opinions?

Abyss is truly a lot of fun, (If I remember right, this one's on the PS2..?) and moving around on the battlefield is a TON less annoying than on Symphonia. Techs are also bit easier to get those 'good' ones, and activate the 'Hi-Ougi' techs. Plus, seeing almost everything at once is ever better.
Wait, what's that Raine? Got some grubs on your--?! OH WAIT SHE'S DEAD.

Yep Abyss is the one for the PS2. My friend likes to spam thunder lance with Jade and makes his own FOF then immediately use again to make Lightning tempest. The counter of uses stops at 999. Other friend uses Guy who has sword rain alpha which I know is from Symphonia but dont know if that is the strongest tech for the main in that game.
Abyss feels long but then again Im reading all the character interaction scenes which is probably drastically increasing the play time.

eek Oh yea, if you like to watch those cut-scenes, you're in for a long play through. Sword Rain: Alpha is almost the same as SR: Beta, except Beta hits hard, and Alpha hits multiple times. 999 is the use counter limit, and wait until you get Indignation.

Tales of Symphonia? I've played it, but I don't think I ever managed to finish the dang thing... It was a fun game, though. Talking swords and all that.
So there's a sequel of sorts out now? Sounds interesting. I've been trying to cut back on the number of games I buy, but maybe I'll look into it.

Nah, Tales of the Abyss isn't a sequel, it's more of a series, a lot like Final Fantasy. Though they all share roughly the same name, most of them have nothing to do with each other, save a couple of 'pokes' at other titles in the franchise.
A good example would be the really fun fight in Symphonia's Arena, where you can fight the group from Abyss. They're really tough, with end-game type gear and stats. Worst of all, they can use the one item on you that seems OP (Overpowered): Hourglass. Stops time for you, and they continue to wail on as if nothing was wrong.
Edit: Talking swords? That's Abyssion if I remember right, so that would make you pretty much end-game, since you have to release all the seals and fight the last 'mid-boss' dragon before even starting that side-quest..

Umm, actually, the talking, seincient swords were a constant throughout the game.
... confused You know, I may actually be thinking of Tales of Eternia, instead. I don't really know how old the game was since I just have the ROM of it, but it must have orginally been for the original Playstation, so it's very old school.

Tales of Eternia is fun. Farah is a combo machine. A friend of mine was cancelling Mirage which is basically an invincible side step after moves with very long recovery which made them much safer to spam.
And I didnt know there were more talking swords. The original Tales of Destiny most of the main characters had one but forgot how they were created and everything.
The Coliseum in Abyss you can fight the Ried from Eternia, Philia from Destiny and 2 other characters im not familiar with.
Symphonia Coliseum there is a video with Farah from Eternia,Garr Kelvin from Destiny and Meredy from Eternia.
