Liam bit the inside of his cheek at her question. He wanted to tell her why, but he didn't want to tell her, for sake of any chances there still were for them to be friends. I...he started, his voice like a rock on pavement. I don't know, really...My mind wanders and it ends up on you...and...You. he muttered, looking to the ground.

She shivered softly, slipping closer and leaning her forehead against his, murmuring, grinning softly,
"Perhaps. But when it comes down to it, I think animals shoudl stay wild."
Ophelia frowned softlya nd reached out, gently this time, slowly, and tilted his chin up, murmuring lightly,
"You aren't a very good liar, so I'll know if you're not being straight with me about this. What happened the other night. Did I see you? That night I got wasted and . . . ."
She trailed off, holding up both hands, one still looking ugly, the other clean and smooth as he'd left it.

Liam paused a moment and swallowed as he stepped closer to her. I saw you. And you were a wreck. I wanted to stay with you, to make sure you didn't do anything you'd regret, but I decided you should probably get home... he said, pausing to take her still messy hand and cup it in his own. I hoped you wouldn't remember...but...I guess I underestimated you... he said, looking to her as he cupped his other hand over hers, causing it to tingle some. He let her hand go, and looked down while he waited for her reaction, her hand looking and feeling as though she'd never decided to take her frustration out on a tree, or anything; Her hands as smooth as silk.

She laughed softly and nuzzled in closer to kiss him on the mouth, lightly, murmuring,
"If I wasn't before, I am now. Care to help me with that?"
Ophelia stared, wide-eyed, a her hand. She looked back and forth from her knuckles, to the boy in front of her, face bright with blush, from cinfusion, pleasure at his touch, guilt for even BEING down here when Saber was waiting for her . . .
It was a little too much weight and her knees wobbled, making her catch herself n the door fram.
"I . . . I need to . . . to sit down . . ."
As she leaned, the shoulder of her shirt slipped down, causing the scars to become clearly visible, if one was at the right angle (behind her) to see them.

Liam winced slightly, a chair appearing in perfect position for Ophelia to let herself onto it. I wanted to tell you before, but I idnd't know how you'd take it...he tried to tell hre, his voice soft as he spoke a hundred words a second. I told you I wasn't normal..but what I meant was that my father is a god and my mother is the daughter of a god and water nymph and all of my siblings and myself are unusually powerful each in our own ways and I just happen to be the healer of the group so doing that is simple as blinking really...and I can do other things too but that's not important or impressive and I'm sorry for everything and I should go now...he whimpered, closing his eyes tightly a moment as he half expected her to slap him for even being there.

Po slipped a hand under her shirt, sliding up her back and tracing patterns along her spine. His cheeks reddened as he gazed into her eyes.

Ophelia collapsed in the chair with a squeak, still looking up at him, shocked, listening to the explanation, quietly. When he finished, she let the information sink in, slowly, VERY slowly, as it had been a long day, fairly full of surprises already. This one, of course was the coup de grace.
"No . . . . don't go . . . . just . . . . "
Her face looked hurt, suddenly.
"Why didn't you tell me before? I mean . . . that's . . . . amazing!"
Canti opened her eyes, shivering softly. She looked across at Po, a sort of dazed, lazy look on her face, murmuring,
"I love you, Po. Powell. I don't think I call you by your full name enough. It's nice. The whole thing I mean. Powell. It's honest, strong. I like it. I like Po, though, much better. But I like Powell too. Just, like, for sometimes. Serious times. Like this."
She blushed brightly as well and dropped her eyes, wishing she could sink through the mattress, for once not being able to laugh at herself for her babbling.

Liam paused a moment and opened his eyes, looking to Ophelia. I...well, honestly...didn't think you'd believe me...And then I thought, that...if you knew, you would think I was insane...and avoid me... he admitted, averting his gaze some.

She reached out and turned his face forward again, meeting his eyes.
"I might have. But I'm sort of human proof that you aren't crazy, huh? But . . . "
She paused, curiously, tilting her head.
"Why on Earth would you miss me that much, if I did avoid you? I mean, you have Lena . . . . "
'And I have Saber!' she old herself sharply, tryign to keep things in well-rounded perspective.

Po smiled, his eyes dancing at her chatter. Caressing her cheek softly, he lifted her face to capture her eyes with his.
"My very beautiful Cantique, you do talk entirely too much."
His lips joined with hers, effectively cutting off her babble.

Her eyebrows lifted in surprise and she groaned softly. She closed her eyes, relaxing against him entirely, becoming little better than a blue puddle of girl in his arms under the force of his kiss.

Liam closed his eyes a moment before answering the question. I...I know that I have Lena... he started, But...I...For some reason my mind kept pointing to you, and you're the only girl I thought about for at least four days... he said, swallowing the lump that was building in his throat. It's like I don't know what I want anymore or who I want or if I even care what happens....I went to the star to look for Lena, and when I found her, I ... he paused a long moment and looked to the ground. When I went to see her, it didn't feel right. And I came here instead...to find you.

His hands slid her top up as he deepened the kiss.
A growl deep in his throat, he pulled back breathing heavily.
"Did you eat anything my love? I seem to remember we never did get to the kitchen..."
