(( Sorry I haven't posted. Homecoming week at my school ))
Rhm yawned as the bell rang. "Well that was a boring class," he said out loud. "It'll get better," Pan remarked, "Today's just all the teacher's day to introduce and all that. I'm sure we'll have plenty of things to do before long." She flowed up onto Rhm's shoulder as he gathered up his few things. He flipped forlornly through his tattered notebook, noticing that it was already a third filled in. He looked over at Pan and turned it in her direction. "Looks like we're going to have to get another notebook sooner than we thought. How much money do we have left?" "Not much," Pan replied, grimacing. Rhm rubbed his forehead, the immensity of his undertaking threatening to overwhelm him. With an effort, he pushed it back and smiled at Pan. "Well, we could always make another later. We'll be good." Pan decided not to mention that they both knew there wasn't the right kind of trees around here. They'd get by; they always had before.
Rhm walked over to the girl with the black cat and said, "That's a curious cat you got there," he said grinning, "I know all about that, though." His ears twitched and he thumbed his nose, "I'm Rhm," he pointed at Pan, who nodded her head in greeting, "And this is my familiar, Pan."

"Oh, hello!" Startled out of her daydreaming, Anne quickly found her usual smile, as she looked at the boy. "Yes, he's curious alright..." Cassio was stretching to get to Rhm, sniffing him around "I'm sorry, we're from the Human Realm, so everything here is brand new to us. I'm Anne, by the way, and he's Cassio. And it's nice to meet you both." She extended her hand to the boy and nodded at made a slight bow at the beautiful ermine. Realizing this was the third boy she was meeting on her first day, she smiled, picturing Asako's face when they caught up later. "So, where are you from?"

Kuragari watched as the boy walked away. 'Acairain, I think I found someone I can stand to be around.' Taking another sip Kuragari headed into the room and saw here teacher. 'Ok I went from a gay to an angel.' Slipping into the farthest set from the teacher she could Kuragari watched the rest of the class. The teacher seemed to be relaxing and getting everyone elses attention. 'I guess she puts them at easy.'

((Just a couple FYIs: first off all, I put up a quick reference sheet on the front page under Campus/Classroom Layouts that has the classes and their room numbers, so everyone knows where they are in relation to each other.
Secondly, since most of you voted for the return to the once-a-week length, I'll extend this one to next weekend to get everything back on schedule, and then we'll keep to that once-a-week.))
Asako cocked a mental eyebrow at Akerian. While the thought of increasing her power intrigued her, there was still the matter of if he would be able to do so. Although chances were that, if he could read minds, he was powerful, but she still thought of him as a boy--if not weak, then clumsy, with little experience and less sense. He was human, after all.
Asako wasn't prejudiced against humans, she just thought that, as a rule, young humans simply did not have enough experience. After all, Asako herself was over 250 years old (285, to be exact), and she still wasn't able to master hardly any of her powers, let alone help someone else master theirs.
And, of course, there was that little matter of a price. He said he would help her, if she helped him. That gave rise to the question, what did he want her to help him with...?
And what, exactly, do you want my help on...? Asako finally sent. It was better to be cautious than get caught up in something simply because she wanted power. That was one of the oldest mistakes in the history of Faerie, and, she was sure, the Human Realm as well.

Rhm briefly shook Anne's hand then waved his other hand dismisivly, "Just this out of the way, mostly human town a couple weeks travel from here." Then what she said hit him, and he stared at Anne incredulously. "The Human Realm?" He whistled apreciativly. "I've met plenty of humans, but you're the first Other Sider I've ever talked to," he spoke faster now, "So you must have seen those buildings that they say scrape the skies? And 'TeeVees', and 'automobiles', and all kinds of amazing stuff! Right?"

Anne chuckled at the boy's words. It was strange how different people from both Realms were. "Yes, I lived with all that stuff. On the other hand, I'd never seen anyone like you, or Asako, and I was thought to be a freak..." She smiled. This was, no doubt, the nicest boy she'd met so far. "I wish I knew more about Faerie...Are there purely human towns, here? And do you know why no technology is allowed?" Cassio had finally finished exploring Rhm's smell, and sat by Anne's side, on the table, waving his tail in a content manner.

Rhm scratched his cheek thoughtfully and shrugged, "I'm not sure why there's no technology, really. A lot of places outlaw the use and sell of anything from the Human Realm, but whenever merchants came through my town they would sometimes sell Otherside things and tell stories." He chuckled, "This one time, our mayor bought hundreds of these things called 'bat-rys'. He thought he could use them to give our town technology and lead us into a new age or something, but they just ended up throwing them out back when they realized no one knew what to do with them or how they worked." He shook his head and was surprised to feel a small pang of home sickness. It was small, but it was there. "As for there being purely human towns: yep. There a tons of little places that mostly deviate to one race or another. In fact, my town was purely human until I came along. Except for merchants and travelers just passing through, of course. When I traveled here, I went through a capital city and it was weird seeing so many different races just casually being with each other." He started abruptly and looked around, then smiled. "Bit like this school, really."
"So how did you come here, anyway? I always heard that our Realm was a secret to the Human's? Has that changed?" He asked, genuinely curious. If the Faerie Realm was no longer a secret, then maybe could visit there someday. Legally and without having to buy the impossibly expensive Illusion Cards that were required by Law.

"Oh, it's a secret alright!" The girl smiled "But there are some people from Faerie who choose to live on the Human Realm, and those, like me, who are born there but truly belong here. I spent my last two years traveling around, following a list of names my Mentor had given me. Each person, book or place taught me something about Faerie and about myself, until finally I was able to apply to this school." Anne looked around. This school was everything she had always dreamed about; a place where the unusual was a everyday experience, where no one was ever considered a freak of nature. "I'm very glad I'm here at last.."

"This place is pretty cool, and big," he grinned. "It's good to finally stay somewhere with a bed." He started to ask about her 'Mentor', but Pan cut into his thoughts, "We're going to be late for Archery." He had completely forgot about class; This girl was fascinating. "Well we should probably get to class. What do you have next?" He asked, hoping it was Archery as well.

"You aren't used to beds?" The girl asked, laughing "I get you, I didn't have the most comfortable nights on my journey either." Realizing she was half-sitting on the desk, Anne got up and opened her big notebook; she had glued a schedule on the inside of the front cover. "I have Philosophy next! I'm really curious about it...I know practically everything about the Human philosophers, but I have no idea of what are the big questions here...What will you have?" She was hoping he'd be in her class; cute and interesting, this boy was pretty attractive to her.

((It's ok. Conversation posts tend to be smaller...people don't usually speak a paragraph at the time... xd ))
"Hum...Fencing and debate, I think." She found it quite amusing how the boy's whole posture changed with his mood. She had never seen a...cat-boy before. She was reminded of Asako; they had pretty similar body responses. "You?" She knew she had to hurry into class, but the conversation was so fun she really didn't want to leave.

((Keru, a couple of things to note: First off, your profile post designates you as human. You really do need to stick to that. Secondly, and I'm saying this as a mod, the only things that Akerian can hear are peoples' italics--it's a bit fairer to the other players that way. Just to keep it mind. So, would you kindly edit your post, please? ^_^))
