Stalking slowly with Kaden the Woman huffed softly side glancing at the hyper ball of child. A smile crept across her face as she stopped standing her ground. "And where do you think you are going?" She asked pressing her hands onto her hips, the smile ever shining. Kaden stopped looking over his shoulder at the tall woman and gulped once, twiced before jumping up at her in a playful tackle. "To visit Youba-san like Toto said I could!" He whined at her stop pulling, and fussing until she started to move again.
"Well, Kaden." She started slowly tapping her lips, " I can't let anything happen to you remember?" She pointed out softly, which made the boy pause and nod in an enthusiastic manner. " Right, Right, Come'on!" He said running in one sprint to the Door jumping twisting the knob and entering, holding the door for Telly as she entered after him. "Ya'know this is a nice place here." She said setting her hands just below her belly button in thought as she admired the place from where she stood. "Youba-san should be here soon Yea!" Kaden shouted with glee jumping up and down several times before stopping, "I hope." He said thoughtfuly shrugging.

Shaking her head she shurgged her shoulders in a form of carelessness and stalked over to a chair. Looking down at it she pulled it from the bar, dusted it off and slid herself into the chair, folding her hands together over her face to cover the 'ugly' on it. Closing her eyes she waited paitent and quiet as Kaden bounced around behind her in a pace showing his impatience and dumb luck. "We should go soon if she isn't here alright, Telly?" He said to her climbing into the chair to her left.
"Yeah Sure thing kid." She parted her fingers and settled her hands onto the bar to better look at Kaden as he fiddled and waited in an impatient manner.

Vela had been awake for a good portion of the day, sitting atop the bed in her room. She sat upright, poised silently, back resting slightly on the headboard behind her. At peace with her mind she found herself concentrating on the now-obvious differences in the room around her. Now, it would seem that it really would be quite so simple to get used to her handicap. But, even if she did return to the mind-set and comfort with the world around her that she had lived with before, part of her brain was set. Although she could not demand respect of those around her like she once could, this woman would become the indifferent one that she had been her whole life.

She owed Lou something. He had earned her respect. To put it simply, if she treated him badly now, and he disliked her, most likely... She’d have to kill him. It was a joking phrase, but, Lou had seen this woman in the worst of her times. Her most vulnerable of moments. And, in every sense... Completely and without room for err had earned her trust and respect. Though taken lightly by some, this was not a privilege granted by Vela often. He’d earned it, and so it would be, despite how her actions might change or revert.

The silence arched over the room in a perfect harmony, only broken by the light summer breeze that trickled through the open window. Even so, it was a peaceful sound. Any change outside would be noticed by the woman, who had grown accustomed to the stillness. It was ... Comforting, to sit with her thoughts in this room. Her thoughts, and nothing else. For hours, Vela could relax, sitting just so, body relaxed, and mind weaving in and out of ‘maybe this’s, ‘perhaps that’s, and even a few ‘remember when’s.

Once upon some lonesome time, the Monoceros family had been that of three children, and a father. He was a wealthy man, and had for some years fought for the family he protected with pride. When leaving the army, he’d put money and power to the family name, and kept it in flow with his owning of land that he lived on, and much of the surrounding land. When of age, the eldest of the children, the only boy, was finally told... He knew it was coming, but, it still struck him of cold-natured. Josiah was all the family had to protect them. The burden he took well, and fought hard for his sisters.

For, the women were to stay and do the things that women did... While Josiah fought for them, protected them... They sat and watched it happen. Vela knew that it would, and for this knowledge, she paid a price of sadness and longing for her brother. He would die for them, and she would take up his roll, no matter how her father fought for it. When the time came, Vela was ready, and she took up the empty seat in an instant. Her name suited her well, for a great fighter and leader she was. Heartless, as the soldiers would call her? Perhaps at times. But, the presence of her took breath away from grown men. Churned the stomachs of weathered soldiers.

Fighting was all Vela could do. It was all she wanted to. It was an... unavoidable responsibility, unpassable barrier. But, until their father died, and then onwards still, Vela kept her head strong and jaw set. Perhaps it for the wildness of the beast, or maybe even its strange affection to her... For whatever odd or unexplainable reason, the glossiest black stallion started to keep to the woman’s side. No, the general’s. Jaleel, as Vela liked to refer to him as, was black, spare the white crescent just behind his right ear.

In her past, Vela had left the horse, along with the rest of the army. No one could quite explain the sudden and unexpected withdraw from the white haired woman... But, just like that, she was gone. And now, here she was. More than a month later, blind, content, and finally where she had wanted to be. At peace with the thoughts flying through her mind... When one did not tend to these thoughts, balled up like a ball of yarn, they tended to weigh down the bearer. Now, though, she could sit and unwind, slowly, but surely.

Amidst the peaceful silence, a familiar noise floated through the air and into Vela’s thoughts. So familiar, in fact, it caused a smile to slide to her lips. Like a crack of lightning in an unreadable storm, the smile was gone, though. Sliding from the bed to investigate, Vela hurried carefully down the stairs, and quietly out the back door of the building. Outside wasn’t the same as inside, as far as understanding her surroundings. Already though, the smell and sounds of the air around her lightened the mood, and welcomed the late evening’s sun upon her face.

The afternoon’s sunlight trickled through the trees upon the heads of those walking upon the shaded path. Beneath the treetops Cassanova stayed, the whole way back to the Muffin, despite the welcoming light of the sunlit path parallel to the one that they took. “I really do owe you for this, Mitchell. You’re doing the right thing.” Called the cat-woman, as she walked ahead by only a few paces. Her hands rest comfortably in the pockets of her loose shorts, hanging just as comfortably upon her hips.

“He hates me.” Complained the handler of the beast, eyes narrowed slightly at the woman who slowly lead him. In his hand were the thick black reins he used to contain the restless stallion.

“Stallions hate everyone.” Cass responded, eyes blinking lazily. The sun made a nap sound only all too comfortable and inviting.

“‘Cept mares. And yer’ sister.” To this, both people nodded, and continued on their way. Through most all of the day, they continued their slow pace. Perhaps it’d have been a bit faster, if the damned thing would stop fussing so damn much.

“Nearly there.” she called, as the Muffin came into sight. Late evening silence only thus intruded upon by the click-clack of the stallion with them. And, to this noise, Vela came investigating outside. In near an instant, Jaleel stopped his fussing, causing Mitchell to drop the reins in slight surprise. As if it were his cue, Jaleel took his walk over to Vela, standing atop the porch, and he at the bottom of the steps. His tail was so long, it nearly brushed the ground.. Perfectly healthy and glossy as it lay ungroomed. Glorious and sleek black body glistening slightly as he nuzzled into the woman he’d become attached to, his entrance was greeted only with happiness.

“How can I ever thank you? I haven’t quite the money just yet...” Cass trailed off, as Mitchell stood watch of the scene.

“Oh, I can think of a way...” The rough, greedy man’s eyes glinted with something along the lines of maliciousness. Even Vela could sense it.

“If it must be done.” Cass replied, hands slipping out of her pockets, and eyes glancing towards the ground. No one need know how the horse really did make it all this way on its own.

Almost immediately, Vela shook her head. “You are an engaged woman, Cassanova. Mitchell, you’ll come with me to a more private area.” Though it may not have been caught at first, the horse handler may have wondered why on earth she had actually known his name. Perhaps just a lucky guess.

“A cripple? You can’t suck me off.” The greedy man replied, arms stubbornly crossed. His expression was emotionless, if not a bit smug and disgusting.

“It won’t happen at all if you don’t stop bitching.” To this, he seemed in silent agreement, and Vela started to walk. He followed annoyingly close, hands always threatening to cop an unnecessary feel. Once inside the barn, though, he moved ahead of her. While he walked on, Vela’s senses told her what she already knew. From tilling a new plot of gardening space, Cass had left the pick-like tool just inside the wooden door. Bless her laziness.

Taking the wooden-handled object in hand, it was as heavy as expected, though, an easy weight on her practiced arms. The noise of picking it up had alerted Mitchell, who faced her. Moving towards her threateningly, grunting out some commands, his movements had been in vain. Before he could lay a hand on her, there was a pick in his skull. A sickening noise on her acute ears, he fell to an awkward crumpled heap.

By the time that Vela had started to dig, with a pick and shovel, some area beyond the garden, Cassanova was back inside. Into the evening, she dug, the shed to remain sealed from anyone besides herself. Using her magic to then bring his body to her, he was lowered into the hole, spare a head. It, wrapped in a freezing sort of charm, lay in a box, upon a shelf stashed away in the shed as though it had not been bothered in some time. The payment, for whatever horse-handling worker came and questioned.

Finally, the white haired woman had returned inside to shower, and return upstairs. Now, she approached the room, Jaleel safely tucked away in the shed for the night, and her hands slack at her sides. Pushing into the room, senses too jumbled to worry or wonder if Lou’s presence was there or not, Vela made one swift step to the bed. Sitting down upon it, thoughts flooding to her, part of her just...Wanted something. Nagged at it... Something warm, and fuzzy. The feeling was amiss and somewhat unwanted in her cold and secluded body. Confused as such to this want, she sat now, back against the headboard and knees tucked to her chest.

Tomokazu walked downstairs, looking as if he had recently shaved an showered. He had that 'clean' look about him. He walked behind the bar and got some hot water on the stove for tea. It was too late to make coffee for the customers. He hummed to himself as he worked, swinging his tail to an unknown beat.

Cass sat relaxedly at the bar, and smiled as Tomokazu got right to work on his tea. Grinning as she stood and stretched, the cat lady let out a content sort of mewl as she stretched. "Evening, love." said the one, whose ears perked a little while she walked around the bar and towards him.

Tomo perked his ears, tail suddenly wagging like an eager puppy's. He was going to go for a sort of aloof who-is-this-strange-lady-in-my-bar role play, but his tail gave him away once again. He ran up to Cass, pulled her into his arms, and spun her around as he lifted her feet from the floor. After setting her back down, he rested his forehead on hers and smiled. "Welcome home, love."

Cass's arms clung to him, eyes shining and happy as she looked up at him. "It's good to be back." Replied the cat woman, tail wagging slowly in a content happy swagger. "There's a black stallion in your shed, but, he'll do you no harm if you leave him be."

Tomo was finally able to let his tail drop to the floor as he glanced out towards the stable. "I hope he'll be comfortable here." He said, sliding one hand over her cheek as he bent down to kiss her tenderly. "I hope you didn't run into any trouble on your travels. I know I missed you terribly."

It took every fiber of her being not to melt against Tomokazu, as the cat-woman blushed a tiny bit. "Yeah, I missed you too, and I've not a scratch on me." Pulling in to nuzzle against Tomokazu, she let out a small laugh. "I think Vela actually has feelings. I could have sworn I saw her looking for someone, earlier!"
